Amora barely managed to parry Wanda’s stabbing strike. Looking over the battlefield, now a ruined wasteland of destruction, her gaze darkened. She gritted her teeth—things had spun far beyond her control. She’d once believed Midgardians were nothing more than primitive, uncivilized barbarians. Dealing with a little planet like Earth had seemed like child’s play.
But now? Now she was seeing just how wrong she had been. That man code-named Black Devil and his team of empowered individuals—they were not just formidable. They were her equals in power. No... that young scarlet witch was even slightly stronger than her.
Since Baron Zemo had already played his trump card, it was time for her to do the same.
Amora suddenly raised both hands, and thick green mist poured from her body, coiling rapidly around Abomination and the limp, motionless form of the Lizard lying on the floor. Her lips moved quickly, reciting an incantation laced with dark, ancient power. The chant sounded jagged and guttural, like a demon whispering in your ear from the depths of Hel itself.
Abomination, who was engaged in brutal combat with Daisy, suddenly froze. Then, his entire body erupted into frenzied roars. The sheer volume shook the walls and ceilings of the base. It wasn’t clear if he was screaming in agony or ecstasy. Blood-red light spread through his yellowed eyes, his already massive frame swelled even larger, and the spikes on his back grew long and vicious.
The Lizard, who moments before had appeared unconscious, was now on his feet, snarling wildly. His claws extended into monstrous talons, his tail expanded like a thick cable, and his head smashed against the ceiling as he rose, larger than ever.
Both monsters now had crimson eyes—completely devoid of reason.
"Eddie," Venom said grimly inside Brock’s mind, "I really think we need a new target."
"Yeah... I’m starting to think you’re right," Eddie murmured, staring up at the twin giants in front of him.
ROAR!
The earth-shaking howl exploded from Abomination’s throat. He had completely lost himself—any trace of Colonel Blonsky’s consciousness was long gone. He had one thought now: destroy everything that moved.
Venom didn’t stand a chance. A single swipe of Abomination’s massive hand sent him flying like he’d been hit by a freight train. Eddie crashed through a steel wall and slammed into the ground with a thud. His eyes rolled back, tongue lolling out, looking like a very large, very unconscious dog.
Daisy clenched her jaw. The mutated Abomination now exerted an overwhelming pressure on her. She fired a concentrated quake at him—but the creature merely punched through it. The resulting shockwave ripped through the base and annihilated everything around them.
She was hurled back by the feedback, barely staying conscious.
Abomination cracked his neck with a sick grin, then charged toward her again.
Meanwhile, the Lizard had also joined the fray. The Captain Supreme, Winter Soldier, and Quicksilver were locked in battle with him. His massive tail and razor-sharp claws caused chaos on the battlefield.
Captain Supreme raised his shield to block a swipe—the screech of metal on metal was ear-splitting. Sparks flew as Quicksilver darted in to flank the monster, only to be swatted aside by the Lizard’s tail. Winter Soldier’s enhanced rifle struck the Lizard again and again, but the wounds healed almost instantly thanks to his terrifying regeneration.
Just like that, the battlefield’s momentum had shifted entirely.
Wanda rushed to stand between Abomination and Daisy, channeling her chaos magic into a glowing, whip-like construct. With a crack, it wrapped around the brute’s thick neck.
Abomination only smirked.
Wanda’s face fell.
She could feel it—a monstrous force traveling up the whip. He was trying to reel her in.
She instantly severed the magical connection and backed away, preparing another attack. But it was too late. Abomination was already there, towering over her. His massive fist dominated her vision, growing larger by the second.
Scarlet light flared to form a shield around her just in time.
The punch landed like a nuclear bomb.
The explosion rocked the battlefield. In a haze of smoke and debris, Wanda was sent flying—shield and all—landing beside Daisy with a painful crash.
Abomination’s massive foot cracked the ground beneath him as he surged forward again, charging at the two weakened women like a runaway train.
Wanda and Daisy struggled to stand.
But before the beast could reach them—a jet-black figure stepped between them and death.
Like an unshakable banner, Gene stood firm.
The Black Devil clenched his fist. Azure energy surged through his armor like thunderclouds gathering before a storm.
Green muscle met black steel in a cataclysmic collision.
The impact shook the world. It was as if a nuclear bomb had detonated. A titanic shockwave blasted outward.
Wanda summoned all her chaos magic to shield herself and Daisy. Quicksilver and the others ducked behind Captain Supreme’s shield.
When the dust settled, Gene stood there unmoved, like a statue cast in obsidian.
Abomination, on the other hand, was no longer standing.
He had been launched clean through multiple internal walls—out of the base entirely.
Gene didn’t stop.
He turned and dealt the same treatment to the Lizard, sending the mutated scientist hurtling through the air, crashing somewhere outside the facility.
"Scarlet Witch," Gene said calmly, his voice even. "Leave Abomination and the Lizard to me. You just focus on cleaning up the rest."
"Oh... okay. Got it," Wanda nodded quickly.
Jets of cerulean light flared from Gene’s back. He took to the sky, flying straight into the sun’s rays. His armored form shimmered and warped in the sunlight, like a celestial blade hurtling toward war.
