CHAPTER 323: EPISODE 30.4 THREE LITTLE FOXES, THREE TINY BUT SASSY HEROES

Bruno Rivera believes that Shen Yuan is the kryptonite of his mind control ability.

Thus, instead of going the same route as other members of the Cardinal, he did everything he could to steer clear of Shen Yuan’s presence.

He investigated Shen Yuan’s relationship with other people, planned a roundabout and elaborate way of effectively stopping Shen Yuan from going active tonight.

Eyes glistening with vigilance, Bruno Rivera scanned his surroundings for platinum blonde hair.

There was nothing.

Bruno Rivera closed his eyes and used his strong mental power to scour the entire floor and see if Shen Yuan was hiding in the area, but the result didn’t change.

Shen Yuan is not here.

"That Shen Yuan is no joke! How can his magic take form despite being away from it? Rin really lucked out when he decided to attack him head-on." Bruno turned to his brain-controlled squad. "Idiots! Concentrate your attacks on those little foxes! Let’s destroy them the same way we killed these stupid guards!"

"Kikiki kyaa!"

"Ahhh!"

The three fierce fox pups angrily clenched their teeth and fired a barrage of heavenly foxfires at Bruno Rivera.

Shen Yuan’s foxfire beasts may be cute and tiny, but they are no fools. Call it godly instincts or whatever, they could sense who the real enemy is.

They are demon spirits who are naturally capable of sensing malice from other beings.

They knew that once they beat the shit out of the brown skinned man in the middle, this madness will stop.

"Kyaaaaa! Ahhhh! Hiiii!" Fangs out, furs blazing hot, the three foxfire beasts fiercely clawed their way in the enclosure formed by the mind-controlled squad.

They used their small, nimble bodies to slide into gaps, and they spat heavenly foxfire every chance they got.

Their fighting power is not less than B-class awakeners!

With their combined efforts and seamless cooperation, their overall strength was enough to contend with an S-class psychic and his brainwashed squad!

"What the hell is wrong with these midgets?! They are too slimy! Shoot them properly, damn it!" Bruno River hates losing control. That is why, at this moment, all he wanted to do was blow up these magical creatures!

"Kikiki!" The foxfire beasts showed their butts and sassily flicked their tails.

You can’t hit us, but we can beat your ass!

It was pure chaos with both sides showing no signs of giving up. Motivated by the vicious chibi trio, the prison wardens jumped into the fray. They used their powers to the best that they could.

"Follow the lead of Master Shen’s foxes! Beat them!"

"Stop!" Bruno Rivera bellowed. His scream carried his overwhelming mental powers, causing severe headaches and nausea to his enemies.

Well, that is, except the foxfire beasts.

But even though they are spared from the mental attacks, that doesn’t mean they are saved. The worst is yet to come for the poor pups.

Bruno Rivera decided to cast bigger nets to beat the problematic foxfire beast. He has got a limited time on his hands; he cannot afford to waste it on three, blue, repulsive fox pups!

His eyes glowed a nasty green hue, and a pulsating energy radiated from his body. The disoriented people reflexively looked at him, the source, and that was when his voodoo started.

"Turn your weapons away from me. I am your one, true leader. Your savior. Empty your hearts and listen only to my voice."

"Hi?" One foxfire beast stopped its attacks, looking critical. The fuck is this guy talking about? Delusional?

"Kikikiki!" The second foxfire beast hopped on top of the first pup and gave a hard kick. Stupid. The stinky man is doing his mind trick!

"Ahhhh!" The third pup is the most stressed. It simply can’t believe its partners had the time to stop and chit-chat! It angrily spat a massive fireball at the other two before screaming a long series of ahhh ahhh ahh.

Move your asses, you plebs! If we fail to do our jobs here, our master will roast us alive!

The first two pups tilted their heads, looking both cute and stupid at the same time. ’But they are already on fire... It’s impossible to roast them, no?’

Bruno Rivera does not know what is up with the three idiot foxes. He has already done charming and taken control of everyone’s minds.

He confidently smirked and condescendingly pointed at the three foxes. "Kill the midgets!"

"Kii! Hiii! Ahhh!" The three reacted violently to the name-calling. How rude, coming from a parasite who lives off of other people’s strength!

The three pups jumped to confront Bruno, but the three of them were stopped by a whole crowd of people.

The three foxfire beasts barked in frustration as they experienced what it was like to be swept by a zombie horde.

The gaps they can take advantage of became tighter, and the space they could move around became smaller.

"Waaah!" The third foxfire beast snarled. ’More chit-chat later, bitches!’

The two pups whimpered. They learned lessons now.

When things had already become difficult for the three foxfire beasts, the devil decided to work harder.

Behind the attacking brainwashed people, Bruno Rivera took something from his stolen spatial pocket and aimed it at the busy crowd before them.

"It pains me to do this. But I can’t stay here for long. It is time to cut off all the excess baggage and move on," He smirked while flexing an arm cannon.

This is one of the cannons that he stole from the secured armory in Country C. Its use was a little bit earlier than planned, but these foxfire beasts forced him to do so.

He will just say his condolences in advance.

"Waaah!" While amid a struggle, the third foxfire beast spotted Bruno. Its ears and tail stood up from root to tip, and it barked rabidly.

"Hasta la vista, midgets." Bruno Rivera smirked slyly. It’s already late. Nobody can stop him now.

The cannon’s mouth flashed a dangerous glint.

"Waaaah!" The third foxfire beast’s body lit up at the same time. The mana forming its body started to swell.

"Ahhhh!" "Boom!"

It only happened a few breaths ahead. A few seconds earlier than the firing of the cannon.

However, it is enough to save anyone who was supposed to die.

The third foxfire beast sacrificed most of its stored mana to blast away everything around it, causing Bruno to miss. The condensed mana ray destroyed the reinforced walls that stood in its way, revealing a prison cell.

"Shit! You’re really a pain in the butt!" He angrily gritted his teeth. There is no way he will stop here!"

Livid, Bruno Rivera aimed the arm cannon at the weakened foxfire beast. It will be overkill. But who cares? He wanted to teach the annoying critters an important lesson!

But will the other foxfire beasts stand idly on the side while their brother gets obliterated? Hell no!

Both foxfire beasts jumped in front of the cannon’s nozzle.

They may lack the ability to freely control and use the heavenly foxfire like their master can, but they possess the unlimited destructiveness of the heavenly foxfire. Now that their path was cleared of innocent people, they can go all out in their attack!

"Hiii! Kyaaaak!" The two foxfire beasts fused their mana and created a massive fireball.

Their hate-filled eyes turned into slits, and without wasting another second they threw it to Bruno!

’Take that! Nobody messes with our brothers and walks away scot-free!’ They barked.

Bruno Rivera felt a strong sense of danger upon seeing the joint fireball of the two flaming critters. His warning bells blared. He tried to back away before firing the cannon.

Boom!

Two great energies collided, causing the foundation of the Diyu to shake. If Chairman Mao didn’t reinforce the Diyu’s structure, then it wouldn’t be a surprise if the building collapses on them!

They are several kilometers underground! They can literally get buried alive!

It took a few seconds for the shaking to stop. The light from the collision gradually dimmed, revealing the state of the opposing sides.

"Hii! Kiii!" The two small but terrible fox heroes plopped to the ground. They spent half of their stored mana, so their looks are slightly unkempt.

As for the S-class mentalist...

"Son of a bitch..." He survived the attack by taking out several shields from his spatial pockets. The cannon he painstakingly stole melted on the ground.

The three foxfire beasts exchanged panicking looks as they were now at a great disadvantage. They are running low on mana! Someone needs to inform their master about the situation!

Bruno Rivera hates to admit it, but Shen Yuan’s foxfire beasts really turned into an unforeseen adversary for him! He took out a phone and dialed someone’s number.

The foxfire beasts used that opportunity to send back one of them.

"I already reached the lower floors of the Diyu. I am close to retrieving Rin. But I need time. Can you help me, Avarice?"
