Master Of Astral Summoner
Chapter 124: Transferred soul
CHAPTER 124: TRANSFERRED SOUL
Shaan’s face turned pale, and his whole body froze when he realized that someone had discovered his presence. This wasn’t good. Could it be the guard? Honestly, he never expected things to turn out like this. He slowly turned his head 90 degrees to the side to see who had found him.
’Dr. Marshal?’
"Shaan, listen to me," Dr. Marshal whispered, trying to calm Shaan down. " Keep calm and come with me. I’ll explain everything, but first we have to go to a safer place. Understand?"
Hearing Dr. Marshal’s words, Shaan only nodded his head. Slowly, Dr. Marshal released his hand from Shaan’s mouth, then he followed Dr. Marshal, who stood several meters ahead of him, without saying a word.
"Ah, I think it’s safe here," said Dr. Marshal slowly, stopping in his tracks and looking around. "It seems we’re far enough away from that guard, and he shouldn’t be able to find us here."
"Dr. Marshal, what’s really going on?" Tension clearly showed on Shaan’s face. "Why was there a guard over there?"
"Shaan, honestly, I have no idea why there was a guard there either." Dr. Marshal stroked his chin. "It’s just that... I suspect the guard may have been watching my movements, and it seems we can’t use the same method to enter the twilight sanctum."
"This is bad. So... what should we do?"
"Calm down, I’m sure we can find another way to get into the Twilight Sanctum without the guards noticing," said Dr. Marshal. "For now, the most important thing is to move through these trees and reach the gate. After that, we’ll figure out the next step."
"Yes, Dr. Marshal. I agree with—"
However, as Shaan was about to take a step, his vision suddenly blurred, and for some reason, his homunculus’ body grew weak. Even to take a step, his legs trembled uncontrollably, causing him to fall to the ground.
’Damn it. What’s happening to me?’ Shaan tried to force his homunculus body to move. ’Wh-why can’t I control it at all?’
[Warning!]
[The energy storage leak is getting worse and must be repaired as soon as possible, before it gets worse.]
[Remaining homunculus energy: 15 percent.]
[Status: critical]
’No... I can’t give up. I have to get out of here...’
"Shaan, what’s wrong with you?" Dr. Marshal turned around quickly and examined Shaan’s condition. "This is bad. The energy storage is leaking, and we need to fix it right away," he said, supporting Shaan’s body. "Hang in there, Shaan. I’m taking you back to the Twilight Sanctum now."
With all his strength, Dr. Marshal supported Shaan, who looked weaker with each step, as they walked closer to the gates of the Twilight Sanctum. Good—at least they could breathe a little easier knowing no one had noticed them.
"Now, how can we get inside without..."
Dr. Marshal’s eyes locked onto a supply cart parked right in front of the gate. The cart looked large enough, packed with big wooden crates labeled "Food Supplies." Perfect—they could use those crates to hide. Seeing this golden opportunity, Dr. Marshal did not want to miss it and quickly walked toward the cart. He slowly glanced to the side, making sure the cart’s owner was still busy talking to the Twilight Sanctum gate guard.
"Good. This is our chance," he whispered, pulling Shaan toward the cart. "Come on, Shaan. We have to move fast."
With all his strength, Dr. Marshal pulled Shaan’s body until they both managed to get inside the cart. He then hid in one of the wooden crates and waited until the cart’s owner finished talking to the gatekeeper.
"Ah, we should be safe for a while now," said Dr. Marshall, wiping his sweat. "Calm down, Shaan. We’ll be there soon." "Yes, Dr. Marshall."
Only a short time later, the cart they were on finally started moving, and soon after, the sound of the gate opening could be heard. Very good, it seemed they had managed to enter the Twilight Sanctum without being noticed by the guards stationed at the gate.

Slowly, the train began to stop, and they heard the sound of the cart owner’s footsteps as he got off the cart and walked away. Hearing this, Dr. Marshal quickly stood up and checked the situation around the cart.
"Thanks God, it looks like the situation is safe," said Dr. Marshal. "Shaan, this is our chance. We need to get out of here and reach the lab as fast as possible."
With all his strength, Dr. Marshal pulled Shaan’s body until he finally managed to get out of their hiding place. While continuing to carry Shaan’s body, Dr. Marshal kept walking until he finally made it back to his house.
"Hang in there, Shaan. Just a little more... we’re almost there."
Hearing Dr. Marshal’s words, Shaan just smiled. Actually, he really wanted to respond. However, his homunculus’s energy was increasingly depleted, causing the homunculus’s bodily functions to begin to decline. This was serious. He had to quickly transfer back to his original body before it was too late.
"Ah, finally." Dr. Marshal immediately laid Shaan down in his original place. "Stay conscious, Shaan. I will begin the transfer spell."
Dr. Marshal performed the Metempsychosis process once more and attempted to transfer Shaan’s soul back into his body. As soon as Dr. Marshal finished his incantation, Shaan felt his body become light, and everything went dark once again.

"Shaan... Shaan..."
Shaan slowly opened his eyes and immediately saw Dr. Marshal’s tense expression. He turned his gaze to the side and saw Homonculus’s body lying stiff on the operating table.
’Oh my God, it’s a good thing Dr. Marshal managed to perform the Metempsychosis process in time,’ Shaan sighed deeply. ’I can’t even imagine if my soul was still inside the Homunculus’ body.’
"Shaan, it’s good to see you back." Dr. Marshal smiled. "All right, now calm yourself down for a moment. I’ll go to the kitchen and get you a glass of water."
"Uh, okay. Dr. Marshal." Shaan nodded his head. "Thank you."
Just a few minutes later, Dr. Marshal appeared with a glass in his hand and handed it to Shaan. "Shaan, drink up. I know you must still feel dizzy after experiencing metempsychosis."
"Yes, Dr. Marshal," Shaan quickly gulped down the water. "Once again, thank you, Dr. Marshal, for your help. I’m sorry for bothering you."
"Shaan, relax, don’t be too shy. I’m also happy to help," Dr. Marshal smiled. "Besides, I should be the one apologizing because I completely forgot to equip the homunculus with weapons," said Dr. Marshal, scratching his head. "Maybe if I had equipped this homunculus with weapons, things wouldn’t have turned out this way."
"Yes, Dr. Marshall."
"All right, then we should go to the living room. I’m sure the others will be back soon from their social detention," said Dr. Marshall. "I’ll also prepare an additional report about the spell symbol you discovered. Madam Yashina needs to know. It seems someone’s trying to sabotage this case."
