CHAPTER 84: TACTIC TO KILL DOPPLESHADE

Tension was evident on Shaan’s face as he realized that another doppleshade was about to appear here. Damn. They were already overwhelmed by one, let alone two at once. It would be very difficult for them to take down both creatures.

"Nalira, we need to figure out a way to—"

Before Shaan could finish his sentence, the other doppleshade instantly launched its attack toward him, nearly killing him. But, luckily, he managed to block and dodge the creature’s attack quickly.

’Jeez, I almost died because of that freaking attack.’

"Shaan, are you okay?"

"Yes, just a small wound, but I’m fine," Shaan said, wiping the blood from his lips. "This is bad. We can’t keep going like this. Sooner or later, these two doppleshade will be able to incapacitate us if we don’t figure out a way to defeat them. We need a plan to defeat them."

"Right. I agree with what you have said." Nalira fell silent for a moment. " We have at least split their power, so we can kill them easily."

"Yes, that makes sense." Shaan nooded quickly.

"If we can separate the power of the two Doppleshades, at least our chances of defeating them will be much easier, and we can kill off this thing."

"Yes, I think that’s a good idea." Shaan nodded without hesitation. "I’m sure the plan will work."

"Okay then, it’s time to move now."

Nalira rushed toward the Doppleshade at full speed. It was clear that Nalira had skillfully dodged all of the Doppleshade’s attacks, which were trying to immobilize her. As the distance between them closed, she launched her attack, sending the terrifying creature flying quite hard.

"’That’s amazing, Nalira is truly incredible,’ Shaan said, gripping his dual short swords. ’Now is the time to eliminate the other Doppleshade before it fully recovers.’

"Robin Hood, use the Swift Quiver while I approach the Doppleshade."

[I understand.]

Robin Hood immediately fired several arrows simultaneously, successfully disrupting the Doppleshade’s vision for a moment. Realizing this, Shaan swiftly lunged toward the Doppleshade and channeled all his mana into his dual short swords.

"Get ready to lose, monster—"

Unfortunately, the paralyzing effect of Robin Hood’s arrows faded, and the creature quickly moved its arms. It swung both of them with speed and deflected Shaan’s attack without hesitation.

’Cling!’

"Argh, damn it!" Shaan flew back a considerable distance. "Robin Hood, use Phantom Spectre again! We need to stop this thing from moving."

[I get it.]

Robin Hood once again used his abilities and attempted to immobilize Doppleshade for the second time. However, Doppleshade was not a stupid creature, and this time he managed to dodge all of Robin Hood’s attacks with agility and disappeared into the trees.

[Damn it, this creature managed to dodge all my attacks and run away.]

"No. That creature didn’t run away." Shaan gripped his dual short swords tightly, scanning the area around him. "I’m sure it’s still here, waiting for the right moment to strike. Stay alert, Robin Hood."

[I understand.]

Just a few minutes passed before Shaan’s suspicion proved right. The Doppleshade emerged from behind one of the trees and morphed its appearance to look exactly like Shaan. It then launched itself forward at high speed, aiming a vicious counterattack at him.

"Robin Hood, shoot your arrow now!"

[Alright, Shaan.]

Robin Hood quickly fired, but this time, the Doppleshade moved so fast that it closed the distance between them in an instant. Without giving Robin Hood a chance to retreat, the creature slammed a powerful punch into him and sent him crashing against one of the nearby trees.

[Ugh... damn creature.]

"Oh no, Robin—!"

Not only that, the creature swung attack after attack intensely at Shaan until he began to feel overwhelmed. It looked like this creature had no intention of giving Shaan a break.

’Cling! Cling!’

"This is bad, I won’t be able to hold out much longer..."

Sadly, a powerful strike from the doppleshade broke through Shaan’s strong defense, making him lose his balance. Quickly, it spun around and delivered a powerful kick toward Shaan, sending him flying with great force.

"Ugh, crap."

Fresh blood flowed from Shaan’s mouth, and his whole body was in pain. Damn. It looked like the doppleshade’s strength had returned, and without the help of Robin Hood, who was still unconscious, it was going to be very difficult for Shaan to defeat this creature.

’I have to defeat this goddamn thing!’ Shaan clenched his fists tightly. ’I can’t die here! I have to defeat this goddamn thing, right now!’

"Good, this is what I’ve been waiting for." Shaan smiled slyly, seeing the notification that it was time. "It’s time to turn the tables."

With great confidence, Shaan instantly launched a counterattack at the Doppleshade with all his strength, successfully turning the situation around. He managed to wound the Doppleshade with his sword, but that wasn’t enough. He had to think of another way as quickly as possible to defeat this thing.

’Cling! Cling!’

’This is bad. I’ve already used 30 percent of the Aspira Ignis power, and I still can’t disable it,’ Shaan said while blocking every attack Doppleshade launched at him. "I need to find a way to defeat this creature before the Aspira Ignis effect wears off."

Shaan stood up and turned around, then instantly activated his dash skill. But this time, he didn’t launch his attack directly at the Doppleshade; instead, he chose to circle the trees surrounding the Doppleshade very quickly.

’Just a little more, I’m sure this creature will move now.’

Doppleshade, who simply couldn’t see Shaan’s movements, became confused and launched his attack blindly. Realizing this, Shaan quickly appeared from behind one of the trees and launched his attack swiftly.

"Feel this, you damn creature!"

Shaan’s attack successfully sliced through Doppleshade’s body, severely wounding it and rendering it unable to move. Without hesitation, Shaan immediately launched his attack.

"Feel this, you wretched creature—"

Before Shaan could launch his attack, suddenly all the trees surrounding the Doppleshade collapsed directly onto its body. Good, at least now the Doppleshade is dead, crushed by the pile of trees.
