Mated To My Obsessive Stepbrother
My Stepbrother 401

KASMINE.
The moment the double doors swung open, I swear my heart skipped about ten beats at onceb. /b
The hall was already filled to the brim, the whole ce radiating with excitement and warmth… The cheer that erupted almost knocked me off my feet… the roar of the hall… The ps and the deep, resonant howls of my pack. Oh, God.
We walked into the hall. Alphas and Lunas from far and near were in attendance.
My fingers wereced tight in Kester’s, his thumb brushing over my knuckles like he was grounding me, and telling me ‘stay with me, iMine/i‘, his other hand at the small of my back, steering me like I was something precious he wasn’t about to let the world handle on its own, as we walked to the podium.
I could feel the subtle tension in him, that coiled, possessive pride that was so very ihim/i. Every step we took together down that aisle felt like it belonged to a dream I’d once been too afraid to have.
The golden light spilling from the chandeliers caught on his dark hair, the sharp lines of his jaw, the glint in his eyes that hadn’t left me since we entered. That look – God, that look. Obsessive. Loving. Possessive. Proud. It said MINE without a single word. And every time my heart dared to race, he ced his palm against mine and squeezed, as if to remind me he felt it too.
“You got this, baby,” He whispered into my ear as we stood in front of the officiating elder.
Non was already waiting for us at the podiumb, /ball dressed up in matching suits as my Alpha. Deep grey suits.
Speak of friendship.
He smiled at us as we drew near. God, the smile on his face… It wasn’t just happiness. It was that kind of smile you give family when you’re proud of them. I couldn’t help but grin back, and Kester gave him a nod.
When we reached, I stood between Kester and Non. The elder was already in ce, his ceremonial robes falling to the floor, holding that big old leather book which, honestly, weighed a hundred
years.
“Ready to be made Beta of the Blood Crescent pack?” I asked Non and he chuckled.
b“/bBeen ready my whole blife/b, Lunab. /bThat asshole just didn’t noticeb,/b” He winked and nodded btoward /bKesterb, /band we ball /bughed.

at bthe /belder his eyes were on me like I was the only thing that mattered in that hallb. /b
“Kasmine Hamilton of the Blood Crescent pack,” the elder began after performing some rites, today you stand before your Alphab, /bbefore your pack, and before thews of our people. You are called to be Luna – a protector, a voice of unity, a keeper of our traditions. Do you vow to bguard /bbthe /b
a lead
pack as fiercely as you would guard your own life? Do you vow to stand beside your Alpha in
strength and in weakness, in battle and in peace?”
I swallowed hard, my vision blurring. Out of the corner of my eye, Kester hadn’t looked away from me once. His stare burned through me, holding me in ce, filling me with something so
overwhelming it made my chest ache.
“Yes,” I breathed, “I do.”
Kester leaned in just enough for only me to hear. “That’s my girl.”
The elder kept going.
“Do you vow to stand beside your Alpha, to be his strength when he falters, his counsel in times of need, his shield when dangeres?”
Somewhere in the middle, my tears began to fall in hot trails down my cheeks that I didn’t bother to
hide.
I nced at Kester again, and damn it, he was still staring at me like I’d hung the moon and the stars just for him. That look that said, ‘iYou’re mine/i. iAlways /iimine/i.‘
My throat tightened. “I do.”
The elder continued, but half the time, I barely heard him. My eyes kept finding Kester’s, and every time they did, he’d give me that small, almost wicked smirk. That i‘/iiI /iican’t /iibelieve /iiyou’re /iimine /iiin /iifront /iof iall /iithese /iipeople/ii‘ /ismirk.
The vows ended with, “Do you swear to love without condition, to lead without fear, and to give byour /blife if need be, for the safety of the pack?”
I nodded with a shaky smile, “I swear it.”
The elder closed the book, “Then, by the authority of the council, I name you Luna of the Blood
Crescent Pack.”
The hall erupted in another round of apuse and cheers, but the sound blurred into nothing bthe /bsecond Kester turned fully to bme/bb. /b
“Didn’t I tell you I’d make you mine, Kasmine Hamiltonb?/b” His arm snaked around my bwaist/bb, /bblocking /blike bhe /bwanted bto /bbfuse /bbme /bbinto /bbhim/bb. /bme so close bI /bcould feel his heartbeat hammer against mine

He kissed in front of everyone. And the kiss was gentle. It was hayogetic. Dossinating Possessive. The kind you give when you want the whole world to know exactly who she belongs to
Something we couldn’t dare to do before. But today, not only could wear it, bbut /bI was oftally his, in front of the whole world.
He slowly pulled away, his hand reaching for my chin as he gently tilted my head to meet his face. his thumb brushing off tears from my face.
“One more step to go, huh?” he murmured. I smiled through the tears and nodded. Ready to be Mrs. Kester Hamilton?”
My heart gave a hard, loud thud in my chest. “Yes, Alpha,” I teased, watching that flicker in his eyes and knowing exactly what it does to him when I called bhim /bthat recently.
I could feel Zeth surge close to the surface, and his irises bled into that deep green. He was at pre His eyes did that whenever he wasn’t aroused, angry, agitated, or bin /bthe mood to rain chaos. And surprisingly, I was no longer scared of Zeth.
Zera and Zeth had bonded on something higher than blood. And Zeth would burn down the world to protect what’s his. Makes me wonder how protective he’d be by the time we fully bear their mark.
Kester’s lips curved into that kind of smile that promised the rest of my life was his bterritory/b.
“Let’s go legally make you my Mrs.”
