CHAPTER 319: MATE BOND FORMED

His eyes widened in light surprise when he had just spoken, watching as Violet turned to lean right into him, about to bite his face, only for him to slowly direct her attention to his neck where he felt her place her lips, biting him.

But still it was light and nowhere near enough to draw blood. For a split second, Cain was just about to cut himself and help her do it, only to decide not to as he spoke in a coaxing tone.

"Harder! You need to bite me harder!" he said, and he had just spoken when he felt her do exactly what he wanted—yet her teeth were nowhere close to tearing through skin.

Cain did it for her with his nail, which was more than enough to draw blood, even as he lowered her head to his neck, about to give her more instructions, only to feel her move out her tongue to lick against his neck.

A few seconds had barely gone by when he instantly felt the bond he had already sensed become stronger in a way that made a smile spring onto his face as he beamed, feeling her continue to lightly lick against his skin.

"Good girl!" he mumbled under his breath as he watched her pull away, even as he leaned closer to kiss her on the mouth wildly and passionately until she could think of nothing but him.

Yet even after that, he still didn’t stop as he went ahead to push her down on the bed, only to watch her struggle as she clutched against him, climbing onto his lap.

"Are you going to bite me?" she mumbled under her breath, even as Cain chuckled in glee, his eyes shining with clear excitement that seemed immeasurable as he responded.

"Yes! I’m going to do more than that!" he responded even as he allowed her to sit right on his lap as he did way more than that until she was pleading for him to stop.

By the time Violet woke up, the first thing she noticed was the heaviness on her back. It wasn’t uncomfortable—it was simply a weight and warmth she wasn’t used to—as she turned to see Cain lying right beside her, completely naked.

The sight of him was delightful, and she was prepared to stare at him as much as she liked when suddenly a light frown appeared on her face as she felt a connection she could have sworn wasn’t there.

A second later, she visibly gasped in complete and utter shock as she fixed her eyes on Cain’s neck and the mark that had appeared there.

She stumbled out of the bed and into the bathroom mirror as fast as she could, only to freeze as she saw an identical mark on her own neck—one that symbolized that she and Cain were now completely bonded mates.

It was shocking and intense, and Violet’s eyes were twice their original size as she cleaned and wiped her neck, only to realize that the mark wasn’t something she could easily remove.

"Fu-fuck!" she mumbled under her breath as she realized that the only way something like that could have happened was if she bit Cain—something she felt she wouldn’t have done, even if it was clear that she did.

But she had just panicked when, the next moment, she slowly calmed down.

I like him, and when he’s normal, he treats me really well. As long as he’s cured, there’s no reason why I can’t live the rest of my life with him, she thought to herself as she calmly stared at the mark, which was clearly something that was there to stay.

After taking in a huge breath and trying to calm herself down, Violet pushed open the bathroom door and walked out. Not surprised to see Cain awake—and even more convinced that he had woken up before she did—as she saw him sitting up on the bed with a light smile on his face, which was nothing compared to the excitement she knew he was feeling deep within.

She was even more surprised by the words she heard him say next, having expected something closer to an apology, only to get something completely different.

"I can feel your every emotion. I like it! I’m sure you can feel mine too!" he said, to Violet’s surprise, even as he continued to speak.

"Did you know that the stronger our bond gets, the more of you I’ll be able to feel? I might even be able to read your thoughts!" Cain said with an even bigger smile while Violet looked completely stunned.

"You can, of course, do the same for me! I can’t wait!" he said, even as Violet stared right at him as they both held each other for a few seconds before she finally opened her mouth to speak.

She had been intently going through the memories in her mind, trying to figure out how she had bitten him—and above all, how Cain had allowed her, considering he could stop her with a single finger.

"Remind me again... how exactly did I suddenly bite you?" she asked with a confused look on her face, though the way she folded her arms across her chest made it clear that there was nothing calm about her demeanor.

She wore a small shirt that was barely buttoned up to her waist, and while she didn’t seem to notice, Cain did as he stared intensely at her in a way that made it clear he would rather she lie on the bed under him than continue standing there glaring at him.

"Sudden? It definitely wasn’t sudden!" he began with a smirk that made it clear he was enjoying himself. "You wanted to bite me, and I instantly allowed you! Too overjoyed to do nothing else but stand still and let you have your way with me!" he said in such a serious tone that it made her want to glare at him even harder.

"I suddenly wanted to bite you?" she asked with a confused frown, which made Cain chuckle even more, an excited gleam in his eyes as he fixed his gaze on her.

"You enjoyed the way I fucked you enough that you wanted more!" he responded, especially when it became clear Violet couldn’t recall him biting her.

Then there was no reason he should remind her, even as he beckoned for her to come closer.

At first, Violet didn’t react, only to feel that Cain was about to get up, which instantly made her move closer, aware that if he did, he would simply do even more than he already wanted.

But she had just gotten closer to the bed when she saw him beaming at her with even more excitement than before.

"You felt like I was about to get up, right? You can already read my emotions!"

But Violet’s frown only deepened as she opened her mouth to speak—when she felt Cain pull her right into his lap as he lay naked, with only the sheets over his thighs covering his intimate parts.

Violet was just about to warn him to stop pulling her when she suddenly froze, realizing what Cain was about to do even before she watched him do it.

Her eyes widened as she realized he had carefully communicated it through their bond, feeling him slowly glide his palm between her legs even as he leaned closer to whisper in her ear.

Caressing between her legs in a way that made her gasp, clinging to him even as he fixed his eyes on her intensely, aware of the pleasure he evoked from her body.

"If you don’t work harder, I’ll be able to read your mind soon—and you still won’t be able to read mine!" he said, and though there was a teasing tone in his voice, she could tell at the same time that he was being completely and utterly serious.
