CHAPTER 1791: CHAPTER 1770: YOU ARE SAVED

Rebrov asked with utmost seriousness, so Gao Yang answered seriously as well: "I’ll give you a Heavy Artillery Battalion to lead, that’s for sure. Of course, having you handle all the technical work alone would be an extreme situation. I will provide a full battalion, but you must have the capability to do everything on your own."

Rebrov exhaled and whispered, "I can already foresee my future. I don’t know how dangerous it will be to follow you, but I know that following you will definitely be exhausting."

Gao Yang smiled slightly and said, "No choice, the competent get more work. I need people who are versatile. As for you, you’re still young, a bit of exhaustion won’t hurt. Alright, the rain has lessened, drive a bit faster."

Rebrov said nothing more, focusing on driving, while Gao Yang once again fell into deep thought.

The rain had lessened from a torrential downpour to a heavy rain, allowing for a slight increase in speed.

What normally would take an hour took nearly two hours due to the rain. Upon seeing they had reached their desired destination on the navigation, Gao Yang whispered, "Slow down, drive forward slowly, there’s a resort hotel around here, let’s go take a look."

At the place where Yarebin had made up lies, there really was a seaside resort hotel. It wasn’t big, but not small either. However, it had nothing to do with the sanatorium Yarebin mentioned.

The heavy rain certainly increased the difficulty for Gao Yang to find Brian, but Gao Yang thought with such heavy rain, Brian wouldn’t arrive that quickly, and as long as Brian hadn’t arrived, he just needed to wait at the resort hotel because Brian would definitely come looking.

The car parked in the empty parking lot, and once it was parked steadily, Gao Yang whispered, "Turn off the lights, go to the hotel and ask if a man in his sixties came here looking for a sanatorium. He might have come alone or with many people."

Rebrov whispered, "Okay, any other instructions?"

Gao Yang whispered, "Whether they’ve been here or not, come back and tell me. If you find someone matching the description, go directly and ask if he’s Brian. If he says yes, tell him the person he’s looking for is here and let him come alone to see me. He will come, but note that these people are extremely dangerous. Just act like you’re someone casually sent to deliver a message. Go on."

Rebrov nodded and got out of the car, he had no umbrella, and as soon as he got out, he ran toward the hotel.

Gao Yang reached out to turn off the car’s cabin light so that opening the car door wouldn’t cause the light to come on. Both the surroundings and the car interior were pitch black, as dark as ink.

Gao Yang didn’t want to meet Brian. He just wanted to pass a message for those two poor souls. After being the villain for so long, doing a purely good deed for once seemed quite interesting. Meeting Brian would mean trouble, so he decided to completely hide in the darkness and embrace the atmosphere.

Less than five minutes after Rebrov left, he ran back, and this time he had an umbrella which was probably provided by the hotel.

Opening the car door, Rebrov whispered, "The person you’re talking about came, two of them. They asked if this place was a sanatorium. The hotel staff said no. They asked about the surrounding terrain and buildings, then left looking hurried and angry. Thirty-seven minutes have passed since then."

"Came quite quickly."

After saying that lightly, Gao Yang whispered, "Get in the car, we’ll wait here. They’ll come back soon."

Gao Yang decided to wait here because this hotel was the only place resembling what the lie described. If Brian searched around and found he was deceived, there’s a huge chance he would come back. So instead of searching all over, Gao Yang decided to just wait for Brian’s return.

Rebrov put away the umbrella and got back into the car. Gao Yang remained silent, so he didn’t say a word either, and the two sat waiting inside the car.

They waited for two hours. During this time, neither spoke; they merely glanced occasionally at the hotel entrance lights.

Finally, a car sped directly towards the hotel lobby, stopping at the entrance. A person immediately got out and rushed towards the hotel’s lobby, leaving the car’s door exposed to the heavy rain.

Gao Yang exhaled and whispered, "He’s here. Remember what I taught you. Go bring him over, go."

Rebrov got out of the car again and ran towards the hotel’s lobby.

Gao Yang watched the hotel lobby entrance, then saw Rebrov reach the door and slow down, walking in quietly. After a short wait, Rebrov came out again, followed by two people.

Rebrov stood still at the hotel entrance, and after a moment, only one person followed him over.

Rebrov was walking at a leisurely pace. Gao Yang smiled slightly; it seemed Rebrov could stay calm and loyally followed instructions.

As he slowly reached the side of the car, Rebrov opened the car door by the driver’s seat and whispered, "Let’s speak right here."

Before Gao Yang could speak, Brian panted heavily, "Who are you!? If you dare trick me again, I swear! I swear! I swear..."

Gao Yang calmly said, "Stop swearing. Do you have a phone? If so, take it out and dial the number I’m telling you."

Brian immediately pulled out a phone, shielding it from the rain, and loudly said, "Go ahead."

Gao Yang recited a number, and Brian finished dialing, then suddenly let out a piercing roar without warning. After shouting, he said harshly, "I know who you are, I’ve heard your voice, Black Demon! No matter what this call is, after I make it, tell me where she is, or we’ll both die here! I can’t take it anymore!"

Gao Yang warmly replied, "I’m not the Black Demon. The number I gave you is hers, now call."

Brian was stunned for a moment and loudly asked, "What do you mean!"

"Originally, you would have been played to death, but now you’re saved. Don’t ask why, there’s no complicated reason. I just think you’re pitiful and I like to put a perfect ending to tragic love stories. I have the ability to save you, so I came. Now, call. She’s waiting for your call."

Brian swiped his phone, and the light illuminated his face. His face was covered with water, hard to tell if it was rain or tears, but Gao Yang was sure there were tears, as Brian’s voice was choked with emotion.

"I can’t make this call, I’m afraid to. You’re not tricking me, are you? If you’re lying, can you tell me now? I’m afraid, truly afraid to make this call..."
