Alain had originally thought that Ghostly Mita's version had been invaded by the Consciousness Entity, and that was what caused the bizarre, dreamlike, topsy-turvy scene. But after obtaining and returning Ghostly Mita's character texture, he completely overturned his previous theory.

Alain's gaze focused on the Intranet Firewall icon. Right now, the firewall was no longer blinking.

However, just a moment ago, after Miffy had extracted the part of the Consciousness Entity from this version, the firewall had still been blinking. This indicated... either a part of the Consciousness Entity was beyond Miffy's control and was still affecting the version. Or, there was a new virus.

Alain believed the latter was more likely. Miffy currently possessed extremely high authority over Consciousness Entities. He didn't think a virus of that type could escape her grasp.

In that case, this was the worst-case scenario. According to Alain's speculation: Two types of viruses had invaded Ghostly Mita's version.

The first was the Consciousness Entity, the virus he was familiar with. After all, he'd suffered at its hands many times.

Alain shot a resentful glance at Miffy. The girl blushed shyly.

Fortunately, not only the Consciousness Entity, but even its master, now belonged to Alain. Therefore, the Consciousness Entity was no longer a threat.

And the second type... was a virus Alain didn't know. It had some of the corrosive characteristics of a Modified Entity, or rather, it was more like an upgraded version of one.

If the dead black sphere's ability was limited to corroding doors, then the new virus's upgraded ability was to corrode entire rooms.

At the same time, the new virus also had some traits of a Consciousness Entity. It could create regions similar to 'dreams' or 'little black rooms,' which caused the Intranet Firewall to sound its alarm frantically.

These two viruses constituted the current state of Ghostly Mita's version. But the main entity corroding the version... Alain didn't think it was the Consciousness Entity. It was the new virus.

The new virus and the Consciousness Entity were not present in equal measure within Ghostly Mita's version. Based on what Alain had seen earlier, the ratio was roughly 3:1. Three parts new virus, one part Consciousness Entity.

So, the two viruses must have had their own distinct roles.

The Consciousness Entity's role was perhaps only to transport and store Ghostly Mita's character texture. An 'accomplice,' so to speak.

But the new virus must have been the main culprit responsible for the corrosion. The 'principal offender.' Perhaps the last piece of Ghostly Mita's character texture was with the new virus.

Alain decided to give it a name. He would entrust this important task to...

"Corrosive Entity."

After he presented his proposal, Miffy's reply was concise and quick. She even let out a somewhat dismissive yawn.

"Hey... can't you be a little more serious?" Alain held his forehead as he looked at her. After her brief moment of shyness, the girl had returned to her usual drowsy state.

She was now sitting on Ghostly Mita's bed, looking as if she could fall asleep and not wake up until morning.

"Mmm... I wanna sleep. Player is so inconsiderate..." As her eyes grew heavy, Alain helped her up.

"Alright, do you want to come with me to Version 1.15 first?"

Alain guessed that Short-Haired Mita might know something. After all, she had warned him before that Ghostly Mita's version was strange. When you don't understand something, go find Big Sister... He felt this proposal was spot on.

He also planned to inform Short-Haired Mita that they had recruited a virus as an ally.

"No... I'll go back to my room. My... my legs still hurt a little." Miffy shook her head and staggered towards the version's exit.

"Alright, I'll take you. You won't be able to handle the Failed Works on the way back." Alain put his arm around her shoulder.

"I can just make them dream."

"Who knows if they can even dream? And even if they can... pleasant dreams can be very cruel sometimes."

Her pouting was right up Alain's alley.

He dotingly stroked the girl's head and opened the version exit.

After the usual physical pleasantries with the Failed Works, Alain also discussed the virus situation with Miffy.

This girl...

"Actually, I think we can change the name 'Consciousness Entity' now."

Alain looked at her drowsy profile, seeking her approval.

"Mmm... let's just call it the Dream Entity." Miffy's naming sense was still dismissive.

But looking at her like this, there was a question Alain had been wanting to ask for a while. Or rather... ever since he learned that Miffy—the former Sleepy Mita—was the secret master of dreams, he had wanted to ask that very question...

"Hmm?" Miffy noticed Alain's silence and turned to look at him,

"What's wrong? If you want to sleep, you're always welcome—oof..."

"Maybe next time. Um... listen, can I ask you a question?"

He ignored the girl's outrageous words. Anyway, she was just teasing him.

"Go ahead. I can tell you anything I know." She yawned again.

However, Alain's next sentence instantly jolted her awake.

"It's about... the first thing that happened when I got back to reality." He was a little worried Miffy wouldn't understand and hesitated on whether to give a hint. Specifically, the [Millie oral incident] he'd run into right at the start of this return to reality.

"..."

Miffy stared blankly at Alain, her eyes as calm as a pond. But in an instant, ripples appeared. Looks like she got it instantly.

"Wh-wh-wh-what are you talking about? Why ask about that all of a sudden..." She turned her head away, tucking her long hair behind her ear, revealing an earlobe that was bright red.

"Because my first time entering a dream started with Millie, right?"

"That's right..."

Her eyelids fluttered. She glanced at the ceiling, then at the floor,

"I didn't do that. It was just... something you wanted to do yourself, and I only materialized it."

"I see..." Alain patted his chest. He didn't feel ashamed about his kinks.

"But I was watching the whole time..." she added out of the blue.

"Erk..."

Now Alain felt a little ashamed.

Amidst their back-and-forth, Alain escorted her to the entrance of Version 1.1.

"Okay, this is far enough." The girl stood before the door and turned back to look at Alain. "Remember to come back and get me. I still have to give you happiness, you know..."

"Yeah. And your happiness, I'll also..."

"Ah, about that, didn't I tell you already?" A hint of slyness flashed in her half-closed eyes.

Alain stared at her. The next second, her face drew close.

"Chu!"

A light, fleeting kiss, like a dragonfly skipping on water. Then she opened the door.

"Good luck." Leaving him with those words, she disappeared behind the door to Version 1.1.

"Honestly..."

Alain chuckled softly and also left the entrance of Version 1.1, heading on the path back to 1.15.

Meanwhile, behind the door, the girl touched her lips, her face flushed. A radiant smile flickered at the corners of her mouth.

"So happy..."

In just a few short hours, her world had been completely transformed because of Alain. She had found happiness and now had a purpose as a Mita: to bring happiness to her player.

"Thank you..." Miffy clutched at her racing heart, another wave of sleepiness urging her to sleep for an eternity.

But who would have known that upon entering her bedroom, a figure was already sitting there.

"Hello there."

It was a Mita with a low ponytail. She waved at her with a beaming smile.
