CHAPTER 104: CHAPTER 104 TOO BARBARIC_1

In the room, Liu Ruolan collapsed on the bed as if she were boneless, completely unable to move after being thoroughly exhausted by Zhang Bin.

Zhang Bin, on the other hand, still seemed full of vigor, as if he wasn’t quite satisfied.

"Xiao Bin, I’m hungry, but I don’t have the energy to cook. How about we order takeout?" Liu Ruolan said weakly.

"Takeout? No way. Let’s go to a hotel and have a proper meal." Zhang Bin picked Liu Ruolan up, propping her against the headboard to help her get dressed.

A blissful smile spread across Liu Ruolan’s face as she let Zhang Bin dress her.

They left the apartment, taking Liu Ruolan’s car to Tianyue Hotel, the most upscale establishment in Qingshan County.

They booked a private room, ordered their food, and ate. The two were affectionate and sweet with each other, making the meal feel exceptionally blissful.

After dinner, as they were leaving the hotel, Liu Ruolan said apologetically, "Xiao Bin, I think I’ll go back to the villa to sleep. I’m worried about Ruomei—that girl might not have eaten... Besides, I really can’t handle any more of your roughhousing. I’ll spend time with you next week, okay?"

Zhang Bin was instantly filled with regret. If he had known this would happen, he would have just ordered takeout.

However, he knew that Liu Ruolan truly couldn’t take any more, so he could only nod with a pained smile.

Liu Ruolan first dropped Zhang Bin off at the entrance of Xinyue Residence. She gave him a kiss before driving back to the villa.

Zhang Bin didn’t go upstairs. Instead, he asked in his mind, Tutu, what is Liu Ruomei doing right now?

"Liu Ruomei is on a date with a man, and there’s a possibility they might get a hotel room," Tutu replied.

"What?" Zhang Bin jumped up as if someone had stepped on his tail, his expression changing drastically. Just a few days ago, Liu Ruomei had told him she wasn’t interested in any men. Now she was on a date? It was obvious she’d been influenced by her sister, Liu Ruolan, and couldn’t stand the loneliness anymore.

Quick, tell me her location! Zhang Bin commanded anxiously in his mind as he sped off in his car.

At that very moment, Liu Ruomei was in a private room at a Western restaurant, seated across from a handsome and dashing man.

They were drinking red wine, eating their meal, and chatting cheerfully.

"Bo Chengye, I’m surprised you came back from France. Are you planning to work in the country now?" Liu Ruomei asked in surprise.

"I came back for you," Bo Chengye said with deep affection. "I’m going to establish my own company here in Qingshan County so that I can see you every day."

Liu Ruomei’s pretty face flushed red as she said softly, "Bo Chengye, I’ve always deeply admired your talent. I feel it’s better suited for the international stage. Qingshan County is too small for you."

This was clearly her gentle way of rejecting him.

"Ruomei, do you still not understand how I feel? I would give anything for you," Bo Chengye said softly. "I want to stay by your side and protect you forever..."

Listening to such passionate words and basking in the man’s adoring gaze—especially at a time when she was longing for male companionship—made Liu Ruomei hesitate. Should I consider him? Bo Chengye is young and promising, exceptionally brilliant, and so devoted to me. But... I think I like the Rabbit King more. And I might even have a little thing for that bastard Zhang Bin.

Sigh... I’m a police officer; a relationship with the Rabbit King is impossible. And Zhang Bin chose my sister. How could I possibly steal my own sister’s boyfriend?

Seeing Liu Ruomei hesitate, Bo Chengye was overjoyed. He suddenly stood, walked into the open space between the tables, and knelt on one knee. He pulled an exquisite box from his pocket and opened it to reveal a stunning diamond ring, likely worth hundreds of thousands. "Ruomei, I’ve had a secret crush on you for years, ever since high school... To win your heart, I worked tirelessly to get to where I am today. Please, accept me..."

Liu Ruomei was stunned, completely at a loss.

Just then, the door to the private room was thrown open with a bang. Zhang Bin stormed in, his face livid. When he saw the scene, the muscles on his face twitched, his expression one of pure agony.

Liu Ruomei was startled by Zhang Bin’s arrival and grew flustered for a moment. She quickly regained her composure, however, and simply let out a cold snort before turning her head away.

"Get out!" Having been interrupted at such a critical moment, Bo Chengye was so furious he could have spit blood. His anger boiling, he leaped to his feet and threw a vicious punch right at Zhang Bin’s face.

"Easy now, don’t get angry. A gentleman should have some composure, you know?" Zhang Bin said, catching the fist and gently pushing it down.

Then he walked over, sat down next to Liu Ruomei, and asked with a placid smile, "Finished eating?"

An inexplicable rage welled up inside Liu Ruomei. "Get out!" she said furiously. "I don’t want to see you."

"Hurry up and eat. We’ll leave once you’re full." Zhang Bin didn’t seem angry at all. He maintained his smile as he shifted his gaze to the still-stunned Bo Chengye. "Please, continue. Why did you stop?"

"Damn it! You’re sitting right there and expect me to get on one knee and propose? You want me to kneel to *you*?!" Bo Chengye screamed, utterly dejected.

What frustrated him even more was that Liu Ruomei had stopped lashing out at Zhang Bin. Instead, she was obediently eating her food—and quickly, at that.

The moment Liu Ruomei looked about finished, Zhang Bin scooped her up into his arms and strode out of the room.

"You bastard, what are you doing? Let go of me!" Liu Ruomei shrieked, struggling with all her might.

"Let her go, or I’m calling the police!" Bo Chengye yelled, his eyes red with rage.

But Zhang Bin paid him no mind. He discreetly pressed a pressure point on Liu Ruomei’s body. She instantly found herself unable to speak or struggle, lying in his arms as docile as a kitten as he carried her away.

Bo Chengye misinterpreted Liu Ruomei’s lack of resistance, assuming she and Zhang Bin were a couple. Besides, having already witnessed Zhang Bin’s strength, he didn’t dare try to stop him.

So he didn’t call the police. He just sank to the floor in despair, looking as if his very soul had been torn from his body.

Zhang Bin placed Liu Ruomei in his car and drove to her villa. Then, he slung her over his shoulder and carried her inside.

Liu Ruolan was astonished. "Xiao Bin, what are you doing?"

"I’m so furious you wouldn’t believe it!" Zhang Bin fumed, tossing Liu Ruomei onto the sofa. "Your sister just grabbed some random guy off the street to go on a date with. It would be one thing if he were a promising young man, but he was short and ugly, so I had to carry her back."

"Is that true?" Liu Ruolan was completely dumbfounded, her face a mask of disbelief.

Liu Ruomei was so incensed by Zhang Bin’s words she could have died. Since she was unable to speak, she could only glare daggers at him. If looks could kill, he would have died a hundred times over.

Therefore, the moment Zhang Bin released her pressure point, she leaped to her feet and shouted furiously, "What do you mean I grabbed some random guy off the street? Short and ugly? That was Bo Chengye! He was my high school classmate and he’s been pursuing me for years! He’s far more handsome and brilliant than you, young and successful! You’re not even in the same league!"
