CHAPTER 120: CHAPTER 0120 I PROMISE NOT TO KILL HIM_1
"What do I do now?" Tian Bingbing was on the verge of tears.
Last night, Zhang Bin had gotten drunk, and nearly everyone else did too, including her. She remembered carrying the unconscious Zhang Bin on her back to rest in a guest room. Yet somehow, she had ended up in her own room, falling asleep on her own bed with him.
Oh my God, I actually cuddled with Zhang Bin for an entire night, in my own room and on my own bed... Tian Bingbing wept inwardly. To make matters worse, Zhang Bin was still holding her. She couldn’t possibly leave without a sound!
She must have initiated this, Zhang Bin mused. Otherwise, she would’ve been screaming by now. Why is she so quiet? Since that’s the case, why should I hold back?
With that thought, Zhang Bin wrapped his other arm around her waist. He moved his head closer again, nuzzling against her while silently taking deep breaths, letting her unique, faint fragrance fill his lungs.
Tian Bingbing was completely dumbfounded. Her body trembled uncontrollably, and her pretty face flushed crimson. She really had no idea what to do.
Should she wake Zhang Bin? It would be too embarrassing, and how could she possibly explain it? Or should she just endure it for a little longer? Maybe he would quiet down, and she could make her escape. So, she endured it miserably.
Gradually, however, she realized the situation was becoming dire. Zhang Bin showed no sign of waking up, and his nuzzling grew more insistent, making her delicate body grow weak as a strange feeling surged through her.
She had no choice but to grit her teeth and push him forcefully. "Xiao Bin, wake up! Wake up..."
Zhang Bin pretended to have just woken up, opening his eyes with a puzzled expression. "Bingbing, what’s going on? How did we end up in the same bed?"
"You... you let go of me first..." Tian Bingbing said shyly.
"I’m not letting go until you explain yourself. I’m still a virgin! You slept with me, so you have to take responsibility," Zhang Bin declared righteously.
Tian Bingbing was so angry she was speechless.
After a long moment, she regained her composure and explained coquettishly, "I just woke up, too. It’s not what you think; nothing happened between us. Look, our clothes are still on, aren’t they?"
"So it was a misunderstanding," Zhang Bin said. "We can’t have any more misunderstandings between us."
"Mhm, mhm, I won’t misunderstand you again," Tian Bingbing said shyly, twisting her waist to remind him to let her go.
However, Zhang Bin didn’t let go. Instead, he held her even tighter. He gazed at the stunning beauty in his arms, completely captivated. "It’s not dawn yet," he said, his breathing quickening. "Why don’t we keep sleeping?"
"This... no, that’s not okay at all." Tian Bingbing nearly fainted.
"What’s wrong with that? We’ve already been sleeping together all night," Zhang Bin said. "A little more won’t hurt anything. Don’t you trust me? I promise I won’t do anything improper. Even if you wanted me to, I’d refuse without a second thought."
Tian Bingbing couldn’t help but think of all the good things Zhang Bin had done for her and his noble character. Her heart softened. In a voice quieter than a mosquito’s buzz, she whispered, "Then you can’t do anything improper. Just sleep peacefully."
This beauty is so gullible, she actually agreed? Zhang Bin could hardly believe his ears. He quickly made a string of fervent promises and continued to hold her, pressing even closer. He took deep breaths of her intoxicating fragrance, his heart pounding in his chest.
Tian Bingbing remained silent, but her breathing couldn’t help but quicken.
Is she encouraging me? I can’t be worse than an animal, can I? Zhang Bin was muttering to himself, about to make a move, when a loud BANG! BANG! BANG! echoed from the door. "Bingbing, where’s Xiao Bin? I can’t find him! I remember he was drunk last night, right?" It was Tian Guangjin’s voice.
The two in the room were instantly scared out of their wits, the romantic atmosphere vanishing without a trace. Zhang Bin nearly dove under the bed, but unfortunately, there was no space to hide there.
Tian Bingbing finally composed herself. Pretending she had just woken up, she said with a pout, "Dad, I was drunk last night, too. I don’t know where Xiao Bin is."
"Didn’t you carry him to the guest room? You didn’t carry him to your own room, did you?" Tian Guangjin muttered. "Get up, quickly!"
He clearly suspected Zhang Bin was in Tian Bingbing’s bed and was determined to come in and see for himself.
Zhang Bin’s face turned ashen. This is bad... If Tian Guangjin came in and found him in Tian Bingbing’s bed, he’d be chopped into pieces. After all, her father knew he already had two girlfriends.
"Quick, hide in the closet!" Tian Bingbing whispered, her face fraught with panic.
Zhang Bin leaped up, pulled open the closet door, and saw a small space inside just large enough to crouch in. He quickly scrambled inside and shut the door behind him.
Seeing Zhang Bin was hidden, Tian Bingbing jumped out of bed, straightened her clothes, and opened the door. "Dad, it’s not even dawn. Why are you up so early?"
"It’s almost six. I’m usually practicing my martial arts by now." Tian Guangjin stepped inside, his eyes scanning the room. He muttered, "Xiao Bin’s car is still in the lot, but he’s gone. I’ve looked everywhere. He couldn’t be in this closet, could he?"
With that, he grabbed the closet door, intending to pull it open.
Tian Bingbing almost fainted from fright. She lunged in front of the closet, blocking it as she cried out in exasperation, "Dad, what has gotten into you? Don’t you trust your own daughter?"
"Xiao Bin, come out. I know you’re in there," Tian Guangjin’s face was thunderous as he snapped.
He was no fool; he had figured it out from her reaction. His heart ached. His own daughter had been corrupted by Zhang Bin, and now Bingbing was even covering for him. That boy already had two girlfriends! He had been drunk last night, too, but had woken up with a deep sense of unease, as if something terrible was about to happen. And now, it had.
"Dad... are you still drunk?" Tian Bingbing was on the verge of tears. She had misunderstood Zhang Bin once before and felt terribly guilty about it. Just when that misunderstanding had finally been cleared up, she had drunkenly made another mistake by carrying Zhang Bin to her own room. They had spent the night together, but nothing had actually happened. Yes, a moment ago they had been caught up in a daze, but it had only been hugging and cuddling. At worst, she might have lost her first kiss.
But if her father found out, he would surely misunderstand. He might even think Zhang Bin pretended to be drunk just to take advantage of his precious daughter. A fight would be inevitable. The situation would spiral out of control, and it would be incredibly unfair to Zhang Bin.
"Bingbing, stop protecting him," Tian Guangjin said, his chest heaving, his teeth grinding so hard they audibly scraped. "I promise I won’t beat him to death."
I’m doomed. I’m totally doomed. What do I do now? Tian Bingbing’s face turned deathly pale, and her mind went completely blank.
