Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva
Chapter 1546 - 43: The Philosophy of the Primordial Heart
CHAPTER 1546: CHAPTER 43: THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE PRIMORDIAL HEART
"I grew up in the Church Academy, receiving a formal education in the Law, which involved much contemplation on issues related to human morality, divinity, and the essence of life."
"Compared to primitive and savage animals, humans have advanced considerably, possessing a relatively civilized and advanced society, yet still far from perfect."
"Different schools have various ideas about what constitutes a perfect and ideal model." Seraphiel continued to elaborate.
"I lean towards the principles of the ’Primordial Heart’ faction, believing that a perfect civilization should share common ideals, standing united, assisting each other, and converging under a single grand vision."
"The era closest to this ideal society should be the early ’Fourth Era’, led by His Highness, one of the Four Originals. Human civilization was revived from Earth once more, setting sail towards the vast universe with an incredible vision of hope..."
The black-haired girl beside him closed her eyes to listen until Seraphiel’s recounting came to an end, then opened them.
"But you should also understand, that era will never return, just as one can only experience childhood once and cannot live forever in a carefree childhood."
"During Earth’s era, the human population reached only 6 billion, at that time everyone lived on the same planet, advancing and retreating together, closely connected." Tilan spoke of the environment human civilization was in.
"Transforming a population of 6 billion to 5 trillion, with the residing planets multiplying into thousands or tens of thousands, maintaining order without collapse already reaches a certain limit. This is under the immense achievements and righteousness of Isenisha, the ’Golden Flame Flower’, who consolidated everything. Without these, different races with distinct historical experiences and cultural perspectives coming together only became more difficult."
"In a sense, the wiser a creature becomes, the more it yearns for freedom; the stronger the individual, the less they can tolerate constraints. The ideal society constructed under the ’Primordial Heart’ faction’s ideals heavily emphasizes the importance of unity, which can lead to irreconcilable conflicts." Tilan gazed at the ground, as if countless histories and starlight flowed through her eyes.
"To resolve this issue, the ’Black Sun’ of the Fifth Epoch employed methods of obliterating individual wisdom, directly cultivating brainwashed and highly unified ’Newborn Races.’ In a sense, the ’Primordial Heart’ faction always seemed the strongest, yet the most extreme faction."
"If your Cult were to eventually unify the Federation, the final human civilization would likely become some sort of religious nation." Tilan lowered the fingers that were combing through her hair and gently placed them on her knees.
"Moreover, I don’t think you understand His Highness’s intentions."
"The ’eternal Cradle’s Wings’, would protect the civilization still in its cradle with utmost tenderness, but as human civilization gradually steps out of the cradle, those wings would eventually retract, otherwise this child would never learn to walk on its own, always relying on the shelter of those wings, never growing."
Upon hearing this, Seraphiel knitted her brows, not immediately opposing, but waited until Tilan finished speaking before responding.
"Everything has a scale; one cannot indulge without restraint."
"Tilan, you wouldn’t imply that forsaking building consensus and indulging in the birth of chaos could create an ideal world, would you?"
The girl stood up, refraining from looking towards Seraphiel, and slowly stepped towards the corner of the room, where stood vertical shelves with different potted flowers on each level. When those extended fingers lightly tapped on one, the plant rapidly grew, followed by blooming small flowers in light red, dark blue, pure white, and bright yellow.
"I do not wish to move from one extreme to another extreme." Tilan turned back.
"Just like these flowers, though born from the same stalk, bloom in different colors."
"The Eastern analogy doesn’t apply to everything; civilization isn’t like plants." Seraphiel shook her head.
"Civilization can’t be both a stem and a flower simultaneously."
"Is that so?" Tilan blinked playfully, seemingly holding a view entirely different from hers.
"This..." Initially, Seraphiel was quite confident, but facing this girl pretending to be mysterious, she felt less certain, after all, the surprises and unexpected from her were truly numerous.
Seeing Seraphiel’s appearance, the girl lightly chuckled but didn’t explain the confidence behind her previous rhetorical question.
"Sorry, I cannot yet tell Seraphiel my thoughts. Now is not the time."
In response, Seraphiel wasn’t angry; if Tilan had disclosed everything without calculation, she would suspect it as a trap. Such core secrets and objectives are destined to not be easily disclosed.
The two sat down again for reminiscence, but this time they talked about their campus life and classmates from the past.
"Does Deklabi (Bettina) know you’ve joined the Cult?" Back in high school, both were geniuses blessed by Angels at Lelysia Academy.
"I haven’t told her; that child is too innocent." Seraphiel shook her head.
"Occasionally over the years, I’d connect with her online, telling her I’m fine in the Western Star Region."
"Bettina now serves as a nun in a church in the Flying Feather Star Domain; by her description, it seems leisurely, in a place with great scenery and few surrounding residents." Seraphiel reminisced.
"Hmm, I also occasionally connect with her; last month she sent me a jar of local specialty honey." Tilan spoke with a smile.
Unlike the two who experienced various things, Bettina lived a relaxed and simple life all along, likely a particularly fortunate child loved by everyone and devoid of worries.
"With those from Thunder Edge Academy, I haven’t had much contact; reportedly, they’re now serving in the Military." Seraphiel recalled the equally brilliant talents back then.
"Hmm, they currently serve in the newly established Fifth Fleet; reportedly, their positions are quite high."
Due to the upheaval eighteen years ago, the Fifth Fleet and Sixth Fleet suffered heavy damage later leaving many positions vacant, offering newcomers rapid promotion opportunities.
"Senior Ed from Crystal Lattice Academy now serves as a delegate for the Children of the Stars Alliance in the Federal Central Council, attracting much attention." Tilan slightly recalled.
From the six academies in the Four-leaf Crystal Star Domain back then, those outstanding talents now achieved their own feats, yet attention mostly falls on Prin and herself.
As night falls and the banquet nears its end, to avoid drawing attention, Seraphiel bids Tilan farewell.
"Hmm, see you next time." Tilan stood up, waved goodbye to Seraphiel, watching her leave the room heading to the banquet hall.
Though Seraphiel would linger in the Four-leaf Crystal Star Domain for a while, their private meetings might be limited, as times have changed, and her every move receives countless attention; even casual actions might spark various speculations, causing much turbulence.
After settling the envoy, Tilan also assisted Arosa in selecting a mentor.
Speaking of suitability, perhaps within the Four-leaf Crystal Star Domain, only Masha qualifies. She observed the Songstresses of the Four-leaf Crystal Star Domain now.
Among them, not only is Masha a rare Moon Level Songstress, she’s mature and composed; other Songstresses are either too cold, playful and immature, or overly utilitarian.
But Masha alone might not suffice; considering exposure to more Songstresses would benefit Arosa’s growth and comprehensive understanding, Tilan thought of other candidates.
Wondering if Audrey and Jian Xin’er have time; both are Songstresses with relatively fewer ties to interest groups. Even heading to the Western Star Region for teaching wouldn’t trigger hostility from the Central Star Domain. More importantly, they were once mutual friends of Tilan and Prin, ensuring this matter would not result in risks or surprises.
Not certain what Prin thinks now, but nevertheless, it’s better to notify her.
Rarely does Tilan write an email, sending it to Prin, sharing her thoughts.
Though the factional relations between the Central Star Domain and Southern Star Region are tense now, as leaders of the two major power groups, Prin and Tilan’s relationship isn’t so bad; they still continue routine congratulations and greetings.
Approximately half a day later, Tilan received a reply from Prin.
’Regarding Arosa’s matter, do as you wish, but the other matters in the Western Star Region should no longer be discussed with me.’
Upon reading the reply, Tilan closed the page, looking towards the undeparted envoy starship and muttered.
"It seems, Prin plans to act on the Western Star Region..."
