Chapter 1295: Results of the Ascension

    ?

    "Nngh..."

Although he already knew that he''d fall unconscious at some point once he finalized his choices for the ascension process, the young man was still caught off guard as he fell asleep for who knows how long.

Giving his consciousness all the time it needed to rouse itself from its slumber, Valyr began to feel a bit more strength course throughout his body, only for that sensation to intensify as more and more time passed.

However, just as he began to wonder if there was no limit to how much his strength grew, that sensation of continuing to grow in strength eventually stopped five minutes after he''d woken up from his deep slumber.

Briefly lamenting over the possibility that hadn''t become a reality, the young man soon stood up from his bed, wanting to find out how much his strength had actually increased just from him ascending to a Rank 1 class.

"...Hmm." Deciding to start his test by doing a few basic movements, Valyr''s eyes slightly widened in surprise after noticing that the level of control he had over his body had become more thorough.

Though it was not at a level where he would be able to control every muscle that wriggled and writhed in his body, the young man was more than confident that he could bring out around 10 to 20% more power in everything he did.

Then again, with him feeling like all of his stats had undergone significant improvement thanks to the ascension, Valyr soon changed his mind, finding it more accurate that he''d be able to unleash at most 40% more power in everything he did.

Doing a few more tests after that, the young man eventually nodded in satisfaction, thoroughly confirming that he had gained far more than what would normally be possible for someone to gain during their first ascension.

Knowing that most of that reason was due to all of the elixirs he consumed, Valyr briefly had a bitter smile on his face as he placed his thoughts on the matter to the side.

After that, he commanded the system to bring up his notifications in front of him, curious as to what kind of skills his new class would give him.

    Ding!

Hearing the notification sound go off in his mind, the young man immediately focused his attention on the screen in front of him, quickly scrolling down to the bottom of the list to see what skills his new class gave him.

    [Checking prerequisite spellcasting skill...]

[Due to your new class, your passive skill ''Basic Spellcasting'' has been changed to ''Arcane Spellcasting''. The skill''s level has been reverted back to Level 1.]

    [Checking prerequisite incantation skill...]

[Due to your new class, your passive skill ''Basic Incantation'' has been changed to ''Arcane Incantation''. The skill''s level has been reverted back to Level 1.]

    [Checking prerequisite mana circuit skill...]

[Mana circuit exceeds the minimum quality threshold.]

[Due to your new class, your passive skill ''Three Revolutions, Nine Cycles'' has absorbed some of the concepts encompassing the Arcane, allowing a bit of its original splendor to return.] [Although the acupoints and meridians are considered by many to be enough to an exemplary mana circuit, only by tapping into the existence of the stars can a mana circuit truly stand the test of time.]

[Your passive skill ''Three Revolutions, Nine Cycles'' has transformed into ''One Star, Three Revolutions, Nine Cycles''.]

"...Huh." Looking at the first three skills his new class had given him, Valyr briefly thought back to the various skills in his arsenal that also began to change after becoming a True Prodigious Blacksmith.

However, unlike that time, only two out of the three core mage skills he had was converted to better suit his current class.

On the other hand, his mana circuit skill remained the same, not being converted into a skill that had anything to do with the Arcane whatsoever.

If anything, his new class instead improved upon the mana circuit skill he currently had, bringing it one step closer to the original version of the mana circuit that was perfected by the Grand Sage a long time ago.

Unfortunately, with the Tribulations of being a Junior Defier of Fate increasing the amount of XP he needed to go up a level, the young man ended up only being a few levels shy of reaching

    that point.

    Ding!

    [4,506,888 XP has been allocated.]

[Your level has increased by 13 levels.]

    [You are now Level 23.]

[You have gained the following stats from your class: +36 VIT, +24 STR, +24 AGI, +24 DEX,

    +72 INT, +72 WIS, +24 PER, and +12 LUK.]

    Whoosh!

Feeling far more strength course through his body the moment the system notified him of the

changes, Valyr did not hesitate to do a few basic movements to acclimate himself to his

    newfound strength.

Sensing that he had regained full control over his strength once more, a hint of curiosity hit the young man at that very moment, wondering how much his stats had improved after just a

    single ascension.

    Ding!
