[You have slain Rak''xhaxa-gar (Level 110).]
[You have gained 9,313,461 XP.]
''Nice.'' Obtaining confirmation from the system that his shot had killed the Grand Chieftain
for good, Valyr turned around to look at the others with a smile as he shared the news through the group chat.
"It''s done."
"The Grand Chieftain''s dead?" asked Hal through the group chat as he looked at the young man with a hint of skepticism.
After all, even though Valyr had become known throughout Veldanyr for having killed a Myth-level being while still being at the peak of Rank 3, he would still have a slightly difficult time achieving such a feat, no?
Yet, as Valyr asked Nerissa to confirm the Grand Chieftain''s death, only for the latter to respond back that their target was truly and utterly dead, the man was eventually left with no choice but to believe that their mission was finished that easily.
Of course, realizing this caused Vera and the others to look at the young man who did it all in disbelief, prompting them to wonder themselves as to what kind of things he''d gone through and experienced before being able to achieve such incredible feats with ease.
At the same time, they began to ask themselves what they did to help in completing a part of the mission, swiftly coming to the conclusion that the most any of them did was in reinforcing Valyr''s attack.
Though both of these realizations briefly made all of them wonder why they were even there in the first place, those same realizations also rekindled the spark of motivation they''ve gradually begun to lose while fighting the battlefield.
It reminded them that, although they''ve already reached the pinnacle of the skies, there still existed a higher sky above them.
Nevertheless, the four only mulled over these thoughts for a few seconds at most, their expressions quickly changing into excitement as they thought about the rewards they''d get for being the ones to kill the Grand Chieftain.
Fortunately, the five did not let all of the excitement they felt get to their hands as they reminded each other of the protocol for missions through the group chat.
Plus, if Hal''s group were indeed the ones who killed the Grand Chieftain, then they''d be able to take that proof and obtain the rewards for themselves, no?
"..." Unfortunately for them, just as they thought their words would cause Hal''s group to escape from them in fear, the opposite happened instead as Valyr took a step forward whilst scratching the back of his head.
"...Down."
Then, without hesitation, he made use of the blue-white strands of Mystic Energy to bind the group in place, only to then double down by reducing their stats as much as possible.
Whoosh!
"W-What?!" Naturally, the group that antagonized Hal and the others weren''t expecting such a reaction from them whatsoever. If anything, the worst response they expected was a fight between their groups.
However, with how one-sided the situation had been settled, the group was left at a complete loss for words as they watched Hal''s group continue to move away from the epicenter of
chaos.
Then, with their attention still on their group, the group soon noticed that the young man who bound them in place stopped in his tracks all of a sudden before taking out a magic staff.
"[Prime Azure Heavenfall]."
With the young man raising his magic staff to the sky after that, a beam of azure energy soon pierced through the skies before spreading its energy throughout the clouds.
A few seconds later, these clouds disappeared as a large azure meteor took its place, its sheer size and might immediately prompting most, if not all of the beings there to look up at the
sky.
Wondering if the group they antagonized had conjured the meteor as a lesson for them, the members of the bound group looked at Hal and the others from afar, their expressions all pleading and begging for the latter''s mercy.
Yet, rather than receive any mercy from the group they targeted, the thing they received instead was a string of words that immediately made them want to cough up blood.
"The meteor is definitely overkill..."
"...But it should solve everything for us."@@@@
