Chapter 1321: Checking the Arcane (3)
?
Ding!
Reading through the description of [Basic Tenets of the Arcane] he brought up in front of him, Valyr initially thought that the skill worked similarly to all of the other skills he had that contained techniques inside them.
''So, the skill is something like the old [Serpent Spear Combat Style], then,'' thought the young man as he continued to read, taking note of how each technique needed him to meet a certain stat requirement before being able to use it.
However, by the time he reached the end of the skill''s description, the young man''s opinion on the skill both changed and remained the same at the same time, which briefly caused him to feel somewhat confused.
Fortunately, another look through the skill''s description was enough to sort out all of the thoughts in his head, with the knowledge from [Basic Arcane Language Comprehension] giving him a decent understanding of what the skill was capable of.
"In short, the skill is like [Serpent Spear Combat Style] since its techniques encompass an entire style of combat," murmured Valyr to himself as he continued to sort out his thoughts. "However, that''s where the similarities stop."
"Although the techniques in the skill can be used as an entire combat style, the techniques in the skill are better used in sequence, with each additional technique activated greatly boosting the efficacy of the one that came after it."
"Considering the fact that each additional technique gives a 10% boost and the skill has ten techniques... I''m in for a fun time once I unlock the last Tenet," said the young man, only to let out a bit of laughter as he thought more about it.
Satisfied with the two active skills he received from his new class, Valyr went ahead and shifted his focus on the two remaining passives he had yet to check.
Ding! Ding!
Reading through [Basic Arcane Tenet Mastery], the young man wasn''t too surprised to see that the skill mostly prioritized improving the efficacy of [Basic Tenets of the Arcane] to a higher degree.
But then again, what did surprise him was the fact that the skill boosted his Attack stat, as well as his INT and WIS by a small margin, immediately making the passive far better than any of the other mastery skills in his arsenal.
Seeing how good the mastery skill was, the young man had a bit of an expectation towards the remaining passive he had yet to check.
Though, once he finally took a look at the description of [Blessed by the Arcane], all that expectation was immediately thrown out of the window...@@@@
For it was replaced with astonishment.
making a trip to the Mage Guild.
Whoosh!
With that, he swiftly left the inn and the village in a matter of minutes, moving through the wilderness at great speeds as he stopped at a flat plains around 10 minutes later.
"I guess this should be good." Seeing that there were a decent number of monsters in the vicinity, the young man faintly nodded in satisfaction as he took out his magic staff from his spatial bracelet.
After that, he went ahead and activated [Three Revolutions, Nine Cycles], allowing the mana inside his body to circulate through all the nooks and crannies it needed to go through.
Whoosh!
Activating [Limit Break] after his mana circuit was finished ramping up, it was only then did Valyr go ahead and cast [Fireball], making sure to recite the complete incantation as he aimed
it towards a monster.
Bang!
Unsurprisingly, with his stats and all of the other skills he had activated, the fireball he shot out turned into something more like a meteor, partly transforming the ground surrounding the monster he targeted into a charred blaze.
"And now, the spell I made through the skill," said Valyr, raising his staff into the air as he chanted the incantation that came attached with it.
"[Arcane Codex]."
"[Orb of Apyrhan]!"
Swoosh!
Feeling the mana in his body move towards the tip of the staff he held up, Valyr initially thought that the fireball created by the spell would be a few notches larger than the one he
cast just earlier.
However, when he turned to look at the spell itself, he instead found himself looking at what could only best be described as a miniature sun.
