Chapter 1322: Heading to Astella

    ?

    "...Huh."

Though the sight of the miniature sun caught him off guard at first, once Valyr noticed that every part making up the sun seemed to be under his entire control, the slight panic that was building up in his body quickly disappeared without a trace.

"This... is probably as big as the smallest meteor I could conjure on my other identity," muttered the young man to himself as the curiosity and excitement he had towards the spell''s appearance gradually returned.

"But does it deal as much damage as the meteor, though?"

Taking into consideration the massive gap in stats between his current self and his other self, Valyr went ahead and threw the miniature sun towards one of nearby group of monsters.

    Bang!

Getting the feeling that the miniature sun was the only thing imposing about the spell, his expectations were quickly subverted as the spell affected an area at least five times greater than the fireball he threw earlier.

Not only that, but the damage dealt by the spell itself was around twice as high as what the fireball dealt to the monster he targeted, briefly reminding him of the buff [Blessed by the Arcane] gave to spells and skills related to his class.

"...But that''s only a 10% increase, though," said Valyr, finding it slightly difficult to understand how such a small boost caused the two spells'' effects to be vastly different in comparison.

"That doesn''t explain the massive gap in their firepower at all," he continued to murmur, only for all the pieces to click in his mind soon after.

"Unless the spells created through [Arcane Codex] are inherently more powerful in the first place?"

As the thought came to mind, Valyr briefly thought back to the information he read after creating [Orb of Apyrhan] for the first time.

''Wait...'' Realizing that most, if not all of the information he got from that time focused on the incantation and the appearance of the spell itself, the young man went ahead and brought up the spell''s description in detail.

And it was only then did he finally obtain the answer he sought after.

    Whoosh!

Seeing that the damage coefficient of [Orb of Apyrhan] was at least two times higher than the damage coefficient of a max-level [Fireball], Valyr''s eyes swiftly widened in confusion.

After all, being able to obtain a skill with that high of a damage coefficient early on in the game needed one to first meet various requirements before even having the chance to obtain

    it.

Fortunately, after comparing the two spells a few more times whilst the gears in his mind furiously turned, he eventually understood the reason why the damage coefficient of the spell made through [Arcane Codex] was higher in comparison.

"In short, I exchanged the ability to level up and evolve the spells I created for spells that have higher efficacy at the start," said Valyr to himself, nodding as he felt that the explanation more or less summed it up.

"Although it does feel like the spells I create through the skill would lag behind spells and skills evolved through the system later on, I''m pretty sure that could be resolved by improving my comprehension of the Arcane language."

"Aside from that, there''s also the possibility of it being solved once I evolve my class," the young man continued.

"Or maybe the solution would appear after I awaken the Technology Tree again. Who knows?"

''Is there really no other way for me to get to Astella City?'' Letting out a low sigh as he discarded the movement spell he created, the young man briefly lamented over his problem, only to realize that a simple solution was available to him all this time.

    W

    ''...Man.''

    ''I''m a fucking idiot.''

    "[Soul Shift]."

    Whoosh!

With the most obvious solution at the forefront of his thoughts, the young man inwardly admonished himself for forgetting the solution as he hastily left the village.

Shifting to his alternate identity after that, he then went ahead and conjured an azure dragon

as he decided to head straight to the town that was nearest to the village.

Specifically, one that housed a branch of the Blacksmith Guild.

''To think the answer was right in front of me all this goddamn time.''

''...I should really stop overthinking shit.''

    ...

    Whoosh!

Appearing within the Teleportation Hall of a certain branch of the Blacksmith Guild, Valyr

thanked the staff tending to the hall before heading straight towards the guild''s entrance.

Making sure that he hadn''t caught the attention of any high-ranking officials along the way, the young man then made his way to a secluded alley before shifting back to his player self.

    "[Soul Shift]."

    Swoosh!

Giving himself a bit of time to readjust to his current strength, Valyr then left the alley before

taking a look at his current surroundings.

    "...Found it."

Finding the building that matched the building in his mind in just a few seconds, a slight grin

soon appeared on the young man''s face as he made use of the movement skill he bought.

    "Mage Guild, here I come."
