    "He asked for it himself?" asked Rinea for clarification, making sure that she hadn''t heard it wrongly. "This is the first time that''s happened, right?"

    "Well, it''s happened a few times already, actually," replied the man with a slightly wry smile. "After all, it''s not like the option I give people to hide their information during registration is some sort of hard-to-find secret."

    "However, there''s something different about that one," continued the man, prompting the old woman to perk up her ears as she intently listened to the next words he had to say.

    "Think about it for a bit. The guy''s a Player that''s incredibly talented in the field of magic."

    "Uh huh." Rinea nodded in agreement. "The spell he cast is definitely not something an average Rank 1 mage would be able to cast."

    "That''s because of a few reasons," answered the man, showing a small portion of Valyr''s information for her. "For one, he has a Mythic grade class."

    "But of course, I can''t show you what class it exactly is because he availed the service."

    "Then that makes the might of the spell understandable," said the old woman, faintly nodding as she thought more about it. "But why am I getting the feeling that there''s still more to the spell he showed me?"

    "It''s his stats," replied the man, directing her to the mostly blurred portion of the young man''s stats. "All of it is in the triple digits."

    "Low triple digits, or high triple digits?"@@@@

    "All I can say is that they''re above 200 at the very least."

    "Wait... so, he has the stats of an average peak Rank 3 class holder, then?" Rinea sucked in a breath of cold air at the realization, her eyes wide as she continued to look at the man before that in disbelief.

    "Pretty much." The man nodded. "Now, with all of those things in mind, don''t you think it''s quite suspicious that he only decided to register just now?"

    "What''s so suspicious about tha-" the old woman replied, only to catch herself as the gears in her mind began to turn.

    "You think it has something to do with the tournament, Director?"

    Though, before he could even ask the question he had in mind, the man answered as if he already knew what he was going to ask.

    "This is the final test," explained the man as he recalled the strands he sent out. "To be more specific, it''s a test where various parts of your mana are tested."

    "The Mage Guild decided to have this test be part of the registration process because not all people aspire to become combat mages."

    "In fact, non-combat mages are actually more common here in the city."

    "Because of that, the guild had devise another method to test whether or not a person is eligible to enter the guild without relying on combat, which is why you see this test before you."

    "What are you testing with the crystal, exactly?" asked Valyr in return as the man''s explanation made him curious.

    "The most important ones would be your mana capacity and your control over said mana," replied the man, continuing to calmly smile. "However, we can also check your mana regeneration rate, the speed at which it circulates throughout your body, and so on."

    "Of course, as you''ve availed the old man''s services, all of this information shall be kept private, save for me, you, and the Director of the Mage Guild."

    "I see." Now understanding the reason behind the man''s first question, Valyr went ahead and asked him what he needed to do in order for the test to start.

    Hearing that the only thing he needed to do was just keep constant contact with the surface of the crystal, the young man went ahead and did just that, placing both hands on its surface as

    he took in a deep breath.

    Whoosh!

    In just a matter of seconds, the crystal quickly came to life, showing both Valyr and the young man a maelstrom of vibrant colors that seemed attuned to certain elements. Feeling the mana in his body begin to resonate with some of these colors, the young man allowed the crystal to do its thing as the crystal and his body soon began to exchange mana back and forth, causing most of the colors in the crystal to disappear.

    By the time over 10 minutes had passed, only a couple of colors remained in the crystal.

    Getting the feeling that the colors in the crystal wouldn''t change even after a few more minutes pass, Valyr looked at the man to ask what the colors in the crystal possibly meant.

    However, before the man could even respond to the question, a pair of individuals suddenly barged into the room.
