The monster army halted over a kilometer away from the final bastion of the Clan's northern borders. Damien stood with a subtle smile, crossing his arms, and spoke calmly.

"Should I be honored?"

"To have a True Blood deployed is an occurrence only a Paragon could undertake."

Hovering between the final bastion and the monster army was a tall, golden-haired middle-aged man. His skin was pale as snow, fangs protruding from his lips.

It was the guardian of the north, Marquis March.

The True Blood narrowed his crimson gaze, glaring at the conqueror who had penetrated deep into their lands. It was a humiliation that ran deep.

Especially towards his name.

Three strongholds had already fallen into humanity's hands as the storms above yielded to bring the warmth of the sun.

"You shall pay for what you have done, beast."

Vampires had an innate pride in their species, arrogance that went beyond the egos of Aberrants. In their eyes, humanity was cattle, Jaegers were insects, while Aberrants were beasts.

It was this vanity that allowed them to dominate the New World for a few years before being ousted by the Paragons, who stood alongside the strongest of humanity.

Damien observed the True Blood with scrutiny and smirked. The vampire's words fell on deaf ears as he declared through his widened smile. "Do your worst!"

Without any hesitation or delay, he commanded his monster army to charge onward. The world shook as the heavens rumbled.

The last confrontation of this operation had finally begun.

Damien leaped from Eclipse's head and blinked away. March frowned, but noticed a dense bloodlust from behind.

A piercing light lunged towards him as he barely dodged its searing radiance. Afterward, he turned his crimson eyes towards the black-suited young man.

His gaze widened as Damien's eyes gleamed with an eerie glint. It felt different. Especially when his spatial awareness was thrown off balance.

In an instant, the world blackened, transformed into a desolate wasteland. It was endless, stretching to eternity into the horizon that didn't exist.

He landed with a thud, his boots breaking the untouched dust. March observed his surroundings, understanding that an ocular technique dragged him into a domain of some sort.

Fortunately, it wasn't a Microcosm.

Otherwise, things would have been troublesome for the supposed True Blood.

The black-suited young man stood opposite him, tugging their clothing while tipping their fedora forward. "I have been curious about the True Bloods."

"I wondered how your capabilities compare to the Paragons, who stood at the summit of humanity's power."

March squinted his crimson eyes and remarked. "Would you like to have a taste of it, beast?"

Adjusting his footwork, pillars ascended into the heavens, encircling both of them. These pillars were inscribed with runes, gleaming with brilliance.

"I'll pull your tongue out if you dare."

Several giant swords materialized beside March as he bolted towards Damien. The black-suited young man blinked, teleporting away from the True Blood.

But March was fast, immediately recognizing a few potential spots where the young man could teleport to.

There was no hesitation in his movements as he charged in the opposite direction. The True Blood smirked as his enemy completed their blink.

He punctured their body, only for them to fade, becoming nothing more than a silhouette. His crimson eyes widened in shock as his instincts screamed at him.

Several giant swords hovering beside him propelled towards the direction where Damien could teleport, but it merely stirred up debris and dust, shrouding his vision.

"Celestial Charge." A whisper chimed as a radiant light pierced through the cloud of dust, pummeling the True Blood towards one of the pillars.

But March immediately regained his balance and landed gently on the pillar's surface, gazing towards the young man with a trace of seriousness.

He underestimated the Aberrant's capabilities.

It seems the young man was not only capable of creating clones. But they could also activate their teleportation ability without the requirement of perception.

There was also that instantaneous charging power. If March were a newly emerged True Blood, he would not have stood against the penetrating power of that charge.

Unfortunately for Damien, experiences were the least that vampires lacked. As long-lived beings, they had fought against creatures much more complex than humans.

"I have to be cautious," March mumbled to himself as he adjusted his stance into a defensive posture.

Damien frowned, realizing that his opponent was being careful. He wanted March to keep attacking him so that an opportunity for a counter would appear.

Now... He would have to be in the offensive if he wanted to defeat the True Blood. The thought alone was troublesome.

But there wasn't a single path forward other than the offensive. Damien wasn't only planning on surviving against the vampire. He wanted to defeat the bastard.

Alongside a few more hovering giant swords, a couple of massive shields materialized. There was no doubt that the True Blood took the Aberrant seriously.

Taking a deep breath, Damien closed his eyelids and readied himself. March looked at the black-suited young man and narrowed his crimson gaze.

His Blood Technique was War God, capable of summoning cold weapons that defied the laws of the world. These ancient weapons tend to have unique properties that decide the fate of the battle.

Though he would have preferred to use his Microcosm instead.

Sadly, the champion duel had already begun. The pillars surrounding them weren't pure design or background beauty.

It provided him with buffs that made him near invincible within the area, but it was at the price of being unable to summon his Microcosm.

March felt his body strengthening by the moment. The longer he stayed inside the arena, the stronger his chances of victory became.

Sooner or later, the Aberrant would be on his feet, begging for mercy. The thought alone made the Vampire smirk. After all, it was the price of the humiliation he had undergone due to the incursion of humanity.

But the question remains... How will the Aberrant act?

Mystery shrouded his opponent's capabilities, forcing him to be on the defensive. He'd rather not be dragged into another domain. It would be problematic.

After a couple of moments, Damien opened his eyelids and activated a power originating from one of his newly acquired Extraterrestrial Monsters.

It was Starlight's personal skill, Dreams of Eternity.

Upon activation, the True Blood felt his consciousness losing balance. In an instant, he was dragged into a realm within his mind.

March glanced around, his mind flooded with thoughts while his heart pounded with dread. He was stuck in a memory of the past. When he would dream about the future.

It was several centuries ago.

On the other hand, Damien watched the True Blood freeze and begin his offensive. He utilized Venoms of Eightfold Death and Chains of Infernal Judgment.

But as the chains propelled towards the March, the vampire managed to dodge it despite being unconscious. It was the effect of his arena that guaranteed his capability to dodge attacks.

He didn't even need to be conscious.

"What great instincts." Damien couldn't help but mutter under his breath. He took a step back and observed the hovering giant weapons.

They were stable, but who knew whether they could attack without commands. After all, the bastard's body was capable of dodging while being unconscious.

Turning his attention towards the pillars, Damien raised his eyebrows at the glowing imprinted runes. He didn't know what effects they gave.

But better destroy it when allowed to do so.

Adjusting his footwork, Damien activated Tectonic Steps. The ground shattered as its cracks reached the pillars, causing them to collapse into the desolate wasteland.

Seeing the rubble of the pillars, he nodded with satisfaction and focused his attention on the True Blood. "Hmm..."

He noticed the chiming of his notifications, making him distracted by his status.

"It looks like the battle has already begun."
