CHAPTER 567: CHAPTER 184: DIVINE AND DEMONIC THOUGHT, DESIRE SELF-RESOLUTION (2)
Some players want to control the world’s direction, create faction opposition, while others wish to leave effortlessly after collecting resources, ignoring the development of the Small World.
There are even players passionately stating their desire to become the World God and build a great civilization.
This player, while explaining his thoughts, expressed that the idea of creating a civilization arose from the impulse when he discovered he could easily change the Small World, believing he could become the guide and promoter of a nascent civilization, achieving a transformation from a display of strength to value creation.
In Qi Sheng’s eyes, this player already possessed a trace of "divinity," though just a trace.
In previous Guidance courses, it was mentioned that many powerful gods have exhibited similar behaviors, observing the diverse development paths of Life, satisfying their curiosity for the unknown, gaining inspiration, and self-worth from the rich processes of civilization development.
The players on both sides represent the perspectives of observers and controllers.
Observers choose early-stage promotion followed by observation or subsequent withdrawal from focusing on the Small World’s development.
Controllers view the internal conflict of Small World’s beings as a grand drama, seeking to become the framers and adjudicators of world rules, establishing the order and balance they desire in the Small World.
Qi Sheng found these viewpoints to be highly valuable for reference.
As players’ Strength increase, their thoughts will also evolve during this process.
Especially when the Black Tide officially invades Earth, and Strength returns to reality.
These viewpoints are worth deep reflection, representing the most genuine thoughts and desires deep within players.
Just then, a new post’s like count skyrocketed like a rising rocket.
Qi Sheng’s gaze shifted to the comment by this player.
Dark Night Will Come:
I’ve come late, making several revisions before finally being satisfied before sending this reply.
Before elaborating on my views, let me first give a choice, I choose 1.
Next, I must refute Little Chicken’s viewpoint.
Little Chicken said option "1" is like draining the pond to catch fish, steering the discussion towards two opposing views: world Control or extracting Wish Power and leaving.
But the viewpoint of draining the pond to catch fish is actually wrong.
First, everyone must understand one thing, the Doomsday Small World is a world with very few survivors.
The production of Wish Power not only depends on the strength of desires but also population size when it’s not possible to enhance the Life Strength of Small World’s beings.
Forming two opposing factions, with high-intensity confrontation under players’ will, will indeed drive the world into Chaos.
But doing so will also result in the constant extinction of many Lives in the process.
Every life that dies extinguishes a spark of produced Wish Power.
Thus, endless slaughter only brings this Small World towards another state of collapse.
Though players can intervene, balancing the overall strength of both factions, such balance feels more like suppression.
For instance, if the raiders’ population surges and their war power grows, what players can do is weaken the raiders’ Strength, covertly guide the direction of the war, bringing the population back to balance.
Hence, the Small World development will always remain in a state of constant suppression.
At this point, surely some players would ask: Then why don’t I support the development of the other side, why must it be suppression?
This question is easily answered, just as Little Chicken mentioned in the post, fulfilling demand is inevitably an upward curve.
If one side gets stronger, then strengthen the other side; during this period, players must invest increasing resources and effort until it becomes unsustainable.
So suppressing one side is the ultimate choice for the balance mode.
Now, let me explain why I chose option 1.
Because option 1 is not about draining the pond to catch fish, but about enlarging the cake.
Give hope to the beings of the Small World, help them establish a new civilization, solve the Immortal Virus issue...each task can bring players a considerable output of Wish Power.
As for how to obtain Wish Power after establishing a new civilization, this problem is actually simple.
In times of peaceful development, why wouldn’t the beings of the Small World have demands?
Isn’t there anyone worshipping gods in the real world?
During every traditional festival, which religious places are not crowded with people worshipping earnestly, praying for (emphasize here) peace, health, wealth, academic success, etc.?
When facing major life difficulties, such as a seriously ill relative, career setbacks, or a marital crisis, some also choose to worship in hopes of changing their situation with divine power.
Therefore, as long as the population increases, the cake gets bigger, there’s no need to worry about the beings of the Small World not having demands.
Once the population base rises, the output of Wish Power will only increase.
In fact, while contemplating this matter, I conceived the idea of "Desire Self-Resolution."
The so-called Desire Self-Resolution means that beings with various desires in the Small World find a way to achieve self-satisfaction of their desires, providing a method of Wish Power output for players without requiring interference.
The specific plan is like this.
First step, proceed with the established direction, which is what you perceive as "draining the pond to catch fish," and establish a new civilization in the Small World.
Second step, guide the civilization’s growth, and leave behind the memory of your existence as saviors.
