Besides these two reasons, he had a third reason for his decision to go home. This third decision was to see Elder Calcetti and return the upgraded golden bow to him.

All of these reasons made him reluctantly stop cultivating and leave his cultivation room. He entered the large mansion hall and found Roar dozing there.

So he called out, "Hey, Roar. I'm going home to see my mother. Do you want to come along or stay home?"

Roar jumped onto his paws and said eagerly, "Let's go. Let's go."

The golden dog's reaction made him raise an eyebrow and ask, "Why the enthusiasm?"

Roar yawned as he said, "I'm bored. There is nothing to do here but sleep."

Arthur snorted and said, "Speak for yourself. There is a lot here that can be done. You can choose to cultivate, study spells, study formations, train your fighting skills by hunting, or do missions for the sect like maintaining formations."

Roar shook his head and said, "Those are all boring. I meant to say that there is nothing interesting to do here."

Arthur snorted again, but didn't say what he thought about the interesting things that Roar liked to do.

Instead of antagonizing Roar, he said, "Let's go."

The two of them left the sect. Roar carried Arthur across the sky. But this didn't continue for long because Roar got tired easily, and because Arthur felt that he was slow.

Roar was fast for his cultivation because of the element that he fused with. But Arthur wields the lightning element, which is also very fast, and he is at the fourth mortal coil, so he is many times faster than Roar.

For these reasons, Arthur ended up being the one to carry Roar for most of the journey. This way, they were able to return to Agate City and to the Dyson family estate that day.

By the time they got home, it was already nighttime. Even so, news quickly spread that a golden core cultivator had arrived in the estate.

Arthur didn't announce his presence to the world when he arrived. But his presence was loud enough for even cultivators at the second mortal coil to sense.

When he arrived, it was as if a large stone had been thrown into a lake. The mana in the environment churned and rippled and spread outwards from him, thereby announcing his presence to everyone sensitive enough to mana.

There was also the fact that he arrived with a speed many times greater than the speed of sound. So there was a loud shockwave when he passed over the estate of the Dyson family and stopped above a particular building there.

His mother heard the sound and sensed the heavy presence, so she came out to greet him. Greta, his nursemaid, also came along. But there was no Brooks to be seen.

Arthur wasn't surprised by Brooks's absence. He had heard that the old man who used to indulge his antics for bread had died 20 years ago.

Lady Vena still looked young. She was more mature now, but she was also more muscular, so she looked like a heroic warrior, not an old woman. Greta wasn't so lucky. Over 60 years of hard work had taken its toll. She looked about ready to die.

He slowly floated down to the ground to meet them. Lady Vena looked subdued and timid as he approached. She appeared to have lost the edge and confidence she used to have in his presence.

Greta's behavior was even worse. She had her head bowed and didn't dare look up at him to see his face.

As for him, he towered over them as a being of great power. Not only was he physically bigger and taller than they were, but every inch of his existence was also far denser and packed with more power. So he was a giant to them in more than one way.

This difference between them was why they were so respectful and afraid of him. He doesn't see anything wrong with how they were reacting, but he decided to ease the atmosphere in order to avoid Greta keeling over because of hypertension and apprehension.

He smiled and said, "It is good to be home."

Then he pointed at Roar, who was beside him, and said, "Do you remember him, mum? He was that little pup that you gave me."

Roar ran his eyes over Lady Vena and said, "I used to be very scared of you. But now I'm bigger and stronger."

Lady Vena chuckled. She had seen and experienced a lot, so she was still able to accept that a giant dog was talking down to her.

But Greta wasn't able to accept that a dog could talk at all. The old maid's head reeled, and she fainted.

Her body slumped, so Arthur had to catch her with his mind to prevent her from falling to the ground.

After he did this, he sighed and said, "How time flies."

The sight of Greta's weak body and weaker mind reminded him once again of the importance of cultivation. He can also see that the benefits of cultivation are more than the acquisition of power.

Greta and his mother are of the same age. But one of them is at the peak of the second mortal coil, while the other one only managed to reach the fourth transformation of the first mortal coil.

This difference in cultivation has made it possible for Lady Vena to be capable of killing Greta with one punch and also made it unnecessary for Lady Vena to make a move in order to kill Greta. Lady Vena could just wait, and Greta will die of old age.

This made him promise himself, saying, "I will try my best to never end up like this. If there is a way to avoid dying of old age like some mortal, I will be there to try it."

Outwardly, he said, "Let's go in and help you advance."

Lady Vena nodded and led the way.
