CHAPTER 170: CHAPTER 170) NOT CROSSING THE LINES/ TERRIFYING VISION.

We arrived at Mountain Filiosha. One of the coldest mountains in the human cities. The diamond heart City.

I couldn’t help but shiver the instant I stood on the snowy ground.

The mountain was very cold, and it was not like that the last time I came to find the Zelggly herb. The breeze was not only very cold, but it was equally very cold and was in the form of a snowy breeze.

Despite being a werewolf, I felt the pressure of the coldness of the mountain. Maybe it was because I wasn’t wearing any thick clothes like sweaters.

"Are you cold?". The Lycan King asked me, before he tried to remove his clothes, to give them to me.

"No, I’m not cold". I said to him, automatically refusing his help before he could get the chance to finish removing his clothes.

It was not as if I didn’t want his help, but the reason was because his clothes were in ruin and were torn.

Now why would I want to wear something like that?

Looking closely at the Lycan King now, he didn’t seem like the real Lycan King to me, because of how scattered he was.

Even his long black hair was in a mess and needed combing. The only good looking aspects about him right now were his face and his muscular body.

Besides these two things, nothing else looked good about him at the moment.

"Mama, why are we in such a place like this? It’s so boring". Irving said to me with a frown and looked disappointed and not satisfied.

"Quit complaining, Irving. I am sure our Mama brought us here for a reason". Fireball said to her, making her pout her lips and mutter some complaining words to herself.

"Here we go again with them calling you mama like it makes any sense. Or should I call you mama too? But this doesn’t change the fact that I am displeased with you. Why did you make me leave the wild forest and not let me protect you? It’s clear that you are hiding something from me. But aren’t I your mate?". The Lycan King turned away from us as he muttered.

Though I heard him.

Then what was the purpose of him muttering those words? He should have thought about it in his mind.

What a weird and jealous Lycan King.

Whatever. I took out my cell phone and upon switching on the cell phone, I found a picture of the Zelggly herb and showed it to Fireball and Irving. "I am searching for this herb. I really need it to treat my Aunt. So we are going to spread out and search for the herb". I said to them, before I went ahead to show the Zelggly herb’s picture to the Lycan King.

He tried to avoid my gaze and looked annoyed.

More like he was forcing himself to look annoyed. What a childish movement.

"Since you are not going to help me, then I don’t see a need for you to remain here. I will send you back". I said to him and pretended to want to make him disappear from the mountain.

"Who said I was not going to help you out? I never said anything like that". He said to me with a groan, before he glanced at the picture of the Zelggly herb and went off.

Though before he actually left, I heard him saying, "But how could you bear to do that to me by making me disappear from the forest when I was ready to defend and protect you with my life? By doing that to me, you have pierced my heart, you mean woman".

??? Seriously? Is this guy truly the Lycan King whom I have heard about before?

Now I understand the saying: Not everything you see on the internet, and not every story and gossip you hear, is true.

All those talks about the Lycan King were surely exaggerated.

"What’s his deal? One punch from me, and I will put him in his place for you, mama". Irving said to me and I almost laughed at her. When she and Fireball newly hatched from their respective eggshells, has she already forgotten about how she and he retreated from the Lycan King after he appeared at the shadows’ pack city the second time? Or was it the third time?

Well, I was no fool. Despite the Lycan King behaving like a chill guy in my presence, I was wise enough not to cross lines with him after what he did to that hideous hybrid creature, whom he beheaded before I could understand what was going on.

"The three of us should split up too. If any of you find the Zelggly herb we are looking for, then try to signal the others so that we can return to the hospital to save Aunt Penelope". I said to Fireball and Irving, and they nodded at me before they went off in separate ways.

The moon goddess’ pov,

There I was on the moon, where it was quieter than the death of the night on earth. The whole place was brimming with soothing energy, and I was sitting.

My body wasn’t touching the land though. Actually, I was floating and sitting in the air, and was meditating.

I had been meditating ever since that day I met my daughter, because of the strange things that had been happening noticeably these past few days. And about the thing that has been manipulating the wild beasts and the hybrid creatures. I have been having these unsettled feelings, and that has made me concentrate on meditating ever since, because I have been trying to see visions of the future, or at least, a glimpse of the future.

I remained still, until finally, my eyes opened, and I gasped, panting fast like I was dying.

Dying?

It has been far too long since I experienced this feeling. But that wasn’t the least of my worries.

My face was filled with horror because of the terrifying vision of the future that I had seen.

"No. My daughter. I have to warn her about this fast approaching storm". I muttered as I placed my hand on my chest.
