CHAPTER 412: CHAPTER 412: FEELING BETTER?

Once they were on board, the three children started playing together. Philip, Russell, and Alexander were busy setting up their fishing rods on the deck.

The constant swaying of the yacht made Chantelle feel nauseous, so she quickly went inside the cabin to rest. Her health hasn’t been great lately. Thankfully, Trenton was still in Easthan as she didn’t need any more problems right now.

"Feeling better?" Daniel asked as he came over with a glass of iced fruit tea.

Chantelle took a small sip. The mix of sweet and sour instantly refreshed her. She let out a satisfied sigh before taking another big gulp.

Daniel reached for the drink, but before he could take a sip, Chantelle snatched it back and finished it off.

"Cold drinks aren’t good for your stomach, Daniel," she said.

"You made it look like it was the best thing in the world," Daniel said with a small smile, setting the glass aside. Seeing Chantelle looking better made him feel relieved.

"No need to stay here with me. Go play with them. I’ll be fine after a short nap," Chantelle said, not wanting to keep him in the cabin.

"We’re supposed to spend time together on this trip," Daniel replied. "What’s the point of arranging all this if I’m just hanging out with everyone else?"

Chantelle knew there was no use trying to argue with him.

"The guards brought a lot of fresh fruit. Do you want some?" Daniel quickly offered.

"Grapes, please," Chantelle said, settling comfortably in her seat.

A few minutes later, Daniel returned with two trays filled with grapes, honeydews, and other exotic fruits. He peeled a grape and fed it to Chantelle. Her lips brushed lightly against his fingers, and she didn’t think much of it until she noticed the teasing look he gave her.

"Peel one for me too, darling," Daniel said playfully.

Chantelle rolled her eyes but went to wash her hands and did as he asked. Instead of eating the grape, Daniel took her hand and licked her fingers before she could react.

Before Chantelle could scold him, he pulled back quickly and grinned. "The grape is so sweet," he said with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"What else do you want, Mr. Wilson?" Chantelle asked.

"Something you peel. But it’s fine now," Daniel said as he sat beside her and rested his head on her shoulder.

The waves outside became louder, and Chantelle couldn’t help but feel anxious. Daniel squeezed her hand gently, offering silent comfort.

Suddenly, Philip’s panicked voice broke through the sound of the waves. "Rai fell into the water!"

Both Daniel and Chantelle jumped to their feet and rushed out to the deck. By the time they arrived, a security guard had already pulled Railer from the sea.

Chantelle’s heart clenched at the sight of her pale, and unconscious son. Tears streamed down her face as Philip quickly began performing CPR. Luckily, Railer regained consciousness after coughing up some seawater.

"Are you hurt anywhere?" Chantelle asked as she gently checked Railer’s weak body.

"Mommy! They took Kane and Stephanie!" Railer burst into tears and buried his face in her arms.

Daniel’s eyes went wide. He immediately shouted, "Lock down the area! Bring my children back to me!"

"I’ll help Rai get changed," Chantelle said, struggling to stand. Her legs were numb from kneeling too long or maybe it was fear that made her freeze. Daniel glanced at Philip, signaling him to guard the cabin door.

After changing, Railer still looked bewildered. Chantelle asked again, "Are you hurt anywhere?"

Railer grabbed Chantelle’s sleeve and asked softly, "Will Kane and Stephanie be okay?"

"They’ll be fine. Daddy’s here," Chantelle said gently.

"Can I wait for them outside?" he asked.

"You should stay here. I’ll ask Uncle Russell to stay with you, okay?"

Railer lowered his head. He felt helpless. He couldn’t do anything to help his parents, and he only made things harder for them.

"It’s not your fault, Rai," Chantelle said, sensing the guilt in his voice. "Things could’ve been much worse. I’m just so thankful you’re safe now."

"I’ll become stronger, Mommy," Railer promised.

Chantelle nodded and called for Russell. Then she pulled Philip aside.

"Stay with Daniel in case anything happens. Alexander will stay here."

"But..." Philip hesitated. Daniel had told both him and Alexander to stay behind and protect Chantelle.

"If you won’t protect Daniel, then I will," Chantelle said quickly.

"Okay, okay," Philip replied quickly and hurried toward Daniel, who was already in a speedboat.

When Daniel saw him approaching, he didn’t need to ask why. He knew Chantelle must have sent him. Without saying a word, Daniel continued giving orders, dispatching guards to search the surrounding waters.

After half an hour, Chantelle came back to the cabin and saw Kane talking nonstop beside Railer and Russell.

"It’s all Daddy’s fault. If he’d come a little later, we would’ve found out who the liaison was!" Kane said, slapping his thigh in frustration. But he used too much force and nearly lost his balance.

Chantelle quickly helped him sit down and touched his forehead to check. Then she turned to Russell. "What happened to him?"

"I’m fine, Mommy. I probably just got dizzy because I’m hungry," Kane said before Russell could answer.

Chantelle didn’t buy it and kept her eyes on Russell.

"Light concussion," Russell said. "He should avoid any heavy activity for now."

"Tell me what happened, Kane Bentley!" Chantelle demanded.

Kane tried to come up with an excuse, but Railer quickly spoke up. "It’s my fault. I pushed Kane yesterday, and his head hit the cabinet."

"Why didn’t you tell me? Do you realize how dangerous it could’ve been if you had fainted in the ocean?" Chantelle’s voice trembled with fear at the thought.

Railer’s guilt deepened. He still remembered the loud thud from yesterday, but Kane had brushed it off, saying he was fine. He even made Railer promise not to tell their parents, worried it would interfere with their mission. That was why Railer had been acting so weird this morning.

"Scold him, Mommy," Stephanie said as she walked in, now dressed in casual clothes. "If Uncle Philip hadn’t noticed something was wrong with Kane, Daddy wouldn’t have acted so quickly."

Kane was about to argue, but one sharp look from Chantelle shut him up.
