Mr. CEO's Ex-Wife: A Cunning Comeback
Chapter 443: Getting Into Trouble At The New School
CHAPTER 443: CHAPTER 443: GETTING INTO TROUBLE AT THE NEW SCHOOL
Chantelle had dressed properly to show respect for the interview. When the guard first saw her, he was polite and even a little stunned by her appearance. But now he was rude and impatient.
She was certain Easton had said something to him.
She could accept that Easton was acting distant because he thought she and Daniel had divorced. But that didn’t mean he had the right to toy with her over it.
She had already decided that she would meet with Easton today.
Kane wanted to teach the security guard a lesson for being rude, but Chantelle stopped him. She didn’t want the children drawing attention to their abilities.
However, the guard misunderstood and thought she was scared. He stepped forward and pushed her. Chantelle’s expression darkened. She grabbed his wrist, and he let out a sharp cry of pain.
"A-Ah! What are you doing? How can you hit someone at the school gate?" A sharp voice suddenly cut through the air.
Chantelle released the guard, then kicked him aside before turning to face the woman.
The woman looked sharp and mean. Even though she was dressed in branded clothes, she still gave off a cheap, unpleasant feeling. She was holding a boy who looked about six years old, and he stared at Chantelle with clear disdain.
The woman’s scream drew the attention of people passing by.
At the same time, the security guard who had been kicked called for backup. Five more security guards rushed over. They were armed and acted as if she were some kind of threat.
"Isn’t she Mr. Wilson’s ex-wife? Why is she acting like this?"
"I know. Maybe she’s showing her true colors now that she’s been dumped. I heard she wasn’t from a rich family at all. She used to work in a bar back in university."
Chantelle stared at the two women who had just accused her. She remembered their faces clearly. Her sharp glare made them nervous, and they backed away.
The people nearby had overheard the exchange. They started whispering that Chantelle wasn’t a good match for Daniel and that she had gone crazy after he left her.
"What are you all waiting for? She’s dangerous! You should catch her now! If she hurts the children here, who will take the blame?" the woman shouted, trying to rile up the security guards.
The guards looked at one another. They had heard from the first bodyguard that a woman attacked him because she and her children weren’t allowed to enter the school. Normally, someone like that would be taken straight to the police.
But seeing the way Chantelle stood and carried herself, none of them dared to make a move against her.
She looked like a noble woman from a wealthy family, while the others were only security guards.
"Will you take responsibility if you arrest me by mistake?" Chantelle stepped closer to the woman. They stared at each other, and the woman’s heart started pounding. She instinctively backed away.
She lost her footing and fell to the ground.
"You’re a bad woman! Why are you bullying my mom? I’ll kill you!" her son shouted. He clenched his fists and rushed toward Chantelle.
Kane couldn’t hold back his anger. He picked up a small stone and threw it at the boy’s knee. The boy dropped down on his knees right in front of Chantelle.
"Mike! Are you okay? You vicious woman! How could you do this to my child?" The woman ran over and picked up her son, acting as if they had been wronged.
Chantelle let out a cold laugh. "Madam, I didn’t even touch either of you. Yet you kept scolding me and tried to get the security guards to arrest me. What exactly are you trying to do?"
"I saw you hit that security guard just now! And my son knelt in front of you. You must have done something!" the woman argued, then glanced toward the school entrance.
He told me to frame Chantelle and said he would come out to back me up. So why isn’t he here yet? I can’t drag this out much longer.
Is he going back on his word?
The woman felt uncomfortable, especially with Chantelle staring at her sharply.
"What do you think I could do to endanger the school in front of these security guards?" Chantelle asked. She wasn’t short, but standing beside the guards, she looked very small.
The onlookers turned and stared at the woman suspiciously.
"I have no grievance against you, but you slandered me with false accusations. I’m completely baffled. I guess my only option is to call the police."
As soon as Chantelle finished speaking, the woman’s phone rang. Her face went pale when she answered, and she looked at Chantelle in disbelief.
"How dare you threaten to sue me? Who gives you the right to sue me? I didn’t do anything to you!"
"Don’t you know that slandering someone is illegal? No wonder you dared to place your illegitimate child in the same school as your lover’s son. You really are ignorant." Chantelle covered her mouth and let out a small smirk.
"You bitch! You seduced my husband, and now you’re making trouble at school? Do you have a death wish?" Another woman arrived with two large men. She grabbed the mistress and dragged her out of the school gates. She slapped her hard and even tried to strip her clothes to humiliate her.
"Oh, so she’s the mistress. No wonder she was jealous of Mrs. Wilson. Mrs. Wilson is the legal wife, after all."
"This kind of person must be mentally sick. She’s a mistress, so she should stay hidden. How dare she envy another woman’s marriage and even make up accusations? So disgusting."
In the crowd, two onlookers were making comments, but they had been hired by Chantelle, so they were naturally speaking on her side.
Chantelle didn’t care about what people said about her. However, her children would be attending this school, so she didn’t want them to be affected by this incident.
She had to resolve everything properly today. Fortunately, Calvin was efficient. He found all the information about the mistress in such a short time, and he even managed to bring the man’s wife to the school.
"Ms. Chantelle, why are you still here? Your children are not qualified to enter our school. Are you causing trouble because of that? You’re disturbing the students."
Easton finally appeared after keeping silent for so long.
