Chapter 116, Titus Zane, why did you steal my man?
CHAPTER 116: 116, TITUS ZANE, WHY DID YOU STEAL MY MAN?
,
Logan Ray is getting engaged, a decision that came out of nowhere, without any prior hints.
It was a grand affair, inviting nearly half of the upper society in T city.
Nathan Moore was also on the guest list.
It seemed intentional that Logan had purposely sent the invitation by express mail to Titus Zane as well.
The engagement invitation was designed by Logan himself.
Being a well-known painter, his design of the invitation was intensely artistic.
The light pink color was festive and romantic, mainly appealing to the taste of young girls.
At the heart of the invitation was a die-cut heart through which you could see a print of a man and a woman standing face to face, the man tall, the woman petite and delicate, their fingers intertwined, gazing into each other’s eyes with deep affection...
Seeing such a warm and loving image, Titus Zane’s heart felt indescribable.
Upon opening the invitation and seeing the flamboyant signatures handwritten by Logan himself, his lips unconsciously curved upwards, though the smile was tinged with bitterness.
Logan was getting engaged, to that girl he had met in the bar... the girl who had also been featured in his art exhibition...
"Titus, your heart must be aching, isn’t it?" Olivia Zane appeared behind him in a wheelchair, alone, without Chun Ya accompanying her.
"How did you get up here!"
If she remembered correctly, the villa’s elevator was locked after ascending to the second floor.
How did Olivia manage to come up here? And alone, did Chun Ya carry her up and then go downstairs? But, she hadn’t heard any noise...
"Hmm, are you deliberately changing the subject?" Olivia’s voice was cold and mocking.
"What?" Titus’s thoughts were far from the conversation.
"Deliberately changing the topic to conceal the sadness in your heart." Olivia’s lips curled into an even more scornful smirk, pleased whenever Titus was unhappy.
Seeing Titus staring at her, speechless, she continued.
"Logan is getting engaged to the most cherished daughter of the Charles family, a lady much more distinguished than you, who gets into bed with your brother-in-law."
Olivia’s words were sharp and unsparing, disregarding any sisterly affection.
"Well, Logan does have good taste," Titus commented dryly.
"Olivia, did you specifically come up here to mock me?" Titus looked at Olivia, his expression cooling again, hiding the sorrow deep inside.
"You’re wrong," Olivia’s lips twisted up, but Titus slightly narrowed his eyes, knowing she wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to mock and ridicule him.
Sure enough, Olivia continued.
"I didn’t come to mock you,"
"Then what is it?"
Olivia suddenly stopped laughing, her voice filled with clenched teeth echoing in Titus’s room.
"I came to see how you would react knowing that the man you loved the most is marrying another woman. Grief? Loss? Or despair? Titus, now you can finally understand the feeling of heartbreak, here," she said, pointing to her heart.
"Doesn’t it hurt? Like being clasped so tightly in a palm, mercilessly tormented, unable to live or die, and then pierced by countless fine needles, even breathing feels painful, doesn’t it?"
Titus clenched the fabric of where he stood, involuntarily taking a step back, his brows tightly furrowed, his face in agony.
"How do you know?" How could Olivia understand his feelings? They said telepathy exists between twins, but they were just ordinary siblings.
"Olivia, how do you know?" As Titus grasped his chest retreating back, the suffocating pain intensified through Olivia’s words.
"Because I lived through such tormenting pain!" Olivia suddenly screamed, "Every night, watching Nathan heading to your room, unwilling yet forced to act like an ostrich, because what you could offer Nathan, I couldn’t, Titus! Why must you steal my man! Why!"
