CHAPTER 237: 233, SKILLFUL OLIVIA ZANE

,

At the T City airport, Titus Zane dragged his suitcase and strode forward, ignoring the man pleadingly explaining behind him.

Jon lugged a huge suitcase behind him, his handsome face unusually tense.

"...Carry, listen to my explanation, I have a fear of being alone... that’s why I sneaked into your room..."

Titus Zane really wanted to turn around and say, "To hell with your fear of being alone!" He knew very well how independent and mature kids overseas are, traveling around the world alone at the age of twelve or thirteen, and still talking about fear of being alone, who would believe that!

Jon kept explaining all the way behind Titus Zane, if he wasn’t quick enough, he would have been left behind.

In the taxi, watching Titus Zane sternly facing forward, Jon carefully reached out his hand, gently tugged at Titus Zane’s clothes, and tentatively spoke, "Carry?"

Seeing no reaction from Titus Zane, he solemnly held up a finger, looking wronged, "I promise, without your permission, I will not sneak into your bed and sleep beside you again."

Titus Zane glanced at him indifferently, "You’ll keep your word?"

Forgiven, Jon hurriedly nodded, "Yes, I will."

The taxi driver couldn’t help but marvel internally, it seems that beautiful women must not be married, look how domineering she is, keeping her man in check to the point where he needs her permission even to sleep, sigh, but my wife, though a bit overweight, is manageable.

The two booked the same hotel, but to maintain a distance from Jon, Titus Zane chose a standard room which was two floors apart from Jon’s VIP suite, and additionally, there were attendants on duty in the corridor of the standard rooms.

After resting in the hotel for a night, the next day, Jon accompanied Titus Zane to the hospital.

The doctor said the results would take another two days, so after leaving the hospital, Jon didn’t continue clinging to Titus Zane and took a cab to leave first.

With nothing much to do alone, Titus Zane first called Marble, who had run off to Yunnan and currently had no orders to take, briefly instructed a few things and hung up the phone, then aimlessly walked forward along the street outside the hospital’s main entrance.

Although T City was her birthplace, Titus Zane felt that here, apart from hotels, she didn’t even have a place to stay. Walking along the street, she unknowingly arrived near Nathan Moore’s office building.

Looking at the gilded logo on the office building, Titus Zane scoffed helplessly.

How lonely must she be to come here unknowingly? Especially knowing that Nathan Moore’s company is in the opposite direction of T City’s city center.

Just as she was about to turn away, a car stopped in front of the office building. Out of curiosity, Titus Zane didn’t leave but stood there, watching from a distance.

The car door opened, and a familiar figure emerged—Olivia Zane, dressed in a light pink dress, covered with an off-white coat, her long hair naturally falling over her shoulders, slowly walking towards the office building with the support of a cane.

Titus Zane covered her lips in surprise, her face displaying excitement.

For years, Olivia Zane’s inability to move freely had been a hurdle in her heart and her guilt.

Now, seeing her able to walk, albeit with a cane, Titus Zane felt incredibly joyful and also relieved, as if a huge mountain on her back had been lifted, making her feel much lighter both physically and mentally.

In her sight, Olivia Zane held the cane and stepped onto the marble steps. Just able to walk, still somewhat unaccustomed, her movement was clumsy, the cane slipped on the marble, and her body lunged forward.

Titus Zane was startled, instinctively feeling the urge to run over and support her, but before she could move, on the marble steps, just as Olivia’s body was about to fall, she staggered forward a few steps but didn’t fall, instead, she stood firm, her movements agile, not at all like someone who can’t take care of herself.
