CHAPTER 331: 327, IF YOU REALLY MISS ME, I’LL FLY OVER TO BE WITH YOU RIGHT AWAY.

Titus Zane’s lack of response was the most direct form of skepticism. Watching the scion, the corners of his lips slightly upturned, even the act of bringing the wine glass to his lips seemed playfully mocking. Then he saw the young master leaning close to his face, and as Titus slightly lowered his gaze, he met his animated, expressive face.

"I am not going to hide it from you," the scion slapped his chest, "I’ll have you know I’m a genuine red third-generation, my grandfather is a high-ranking official in the Military District!"

In that mocking gaze, Titus had already drunk most of the glass of red wine. Placing the half-empty glass on the bar, he said as he hopped off the barstool, "And I’ll tell you, my maternal grandfather is a commander in the military!"

After saying that, clutching her delicate purse and walking towards the exit of the bar in high heels.

A casual comment, later, would be taken seriously by someone with an agenda.

Watching Titus leave, the scion stroked his chin with a playful expression.

This woman, she’s got character, I’m going to get her!

Originally planning to drink until drunk in the bar before heading back to the apartment, now, my good mood has been ruined by that self-righteous man.

Back in the apartment, turning on the television, listening to the voices inside, Titus doesn’t feel lonely.

This is a habit she developed after moving into this apartment.

It’s still early, just past eleven. For someone who often suffers from insomnia, this time is torture.

While normal people are asleep, Titus doesn’t feel the slightest bit tired.

After changing clothes and taking a shower, wrapped in a silk robe, Titus got a bottle of red wine from the wine cabinet and sat on the couch, sipping the wine alone out of boredom.

After an unspecified amount of time, having drunk most of the bottle of red wine, a cell phone ringtone went off. Reaching over to grab the phone off the coffee table, Titus answered the call after checking the caller ID.

"Carry! Did you miss me?"

Jon’s cheerful voice came over, causing Titus to close her eyes and move the phone slightly away from her ear, but she still said with a smile, "Yes, I miss you every moment."

"Really?" Jon’s voice sounded even more elated, with a hint of pleasant surprise, "If you really miss me that much, I’ll fly over to be with you right now!"

"Sure," Titus joked unusually, with a smile in her voice, "Jon, I miss you so much, come and be with me right now."

"OK, I’ll be there right away!" Jon vowed over the phone.

After a few jokes, Titus turned serious again, knowing that Jon wouldn’t call her so late just for a few laughs.

"Jon, have you found anything?"

Jon’s tone was equally serious.

"Carry, did I ever tell you!"

"Tell me what?" Titus was perplexed, only to hear Jon say, "Did I ever tell you, women being too clever can make a man feel useless?"

Titus...

She thought he was talking about something serious, but...

She shouldn’t have trusted Jon to be serious about anything.

Speechless, Jon’s voice came again, this time with pride mixed with mystery.

"Carry, I’ve found out about that person called Xiao Nuo,"

"Really?" Titus couldn’t believe it and widened her eyes, even straightening up abruptly from the couch. Because of the sudden movement, the glass of red wine in her right hand spilled.

However, Titus had no time to care about that. Right now, her entire focus was on the person named Xiao Nuo, the woman Abigail Zimmerman claimed to be her mother.

"Of course, when have I ever lied to you!"

Jon’s voice sounded even more triumphant, and without waiting for Titus’s response, he added, "I’ll fly over and we can talk in detail. It’s late now, get some rest. I don’t want to face a haggard witch when I land."
