CHAPTER 470: 466, LAOZI’S PATIENCE IS LIMITED
, Actually, Titus Zane had already anticipated Colt Thornton’s intentions, and despite feeling utterly disgusted by the two chubby fingers on his face, he dared not make his discomfort too obvious.
The immediate priority was to get away.
He curved his lips into a smile, appearing charming and gentle.
"Mr. Thornton, I am now at your mercy, and I thank you for not involving the officials, otherwise I would have spent the rest of my life in jail,"
"Good that you understand." Colt Thornton sneered coldly, his thick arm pulling Titus Zane close and reaching for his chest. Titus Zane blocked it subtly and grabbed Colt Thornton’s hand that was attempting an assault, smiling and saying.
"Mr. Thornton, since I’m already in your hands, what’s the rush? I can’t escape anyway. Could you let me go to the restroom first..." Titus Zane made up his mind to get rid of Colt Thornton first to make a chance to call for help.
"Going to the restroom, is it? Alright, you can." Colt Thornton nodded. Titus Zane felt a surge of relief internally. As he stood up, pain shot through his shoulder, his bag being yanked away by Colt Thornton, "I tell you, don’t try to outsmart me. I let my guard down because I trusted you too much initially."
The phone was in the bag, and now, even if he went to the restroom, he couldn’t call for help. Nonetheless, Titus Zane still chose to enter the restroom to buy some time, a common behavior of the vulnerable when in danger.
Watching Titus Zane’s figure enter the restroom, Colt Thornton’s lips curled up into a sinister smile. Stubborn woman, still trying to play tricks on him!
He pulled out the phone from Titus Zane’s bag, smashed it to the ground, then lifted his bulky leg and thoroughly crushed it before sitting back down on the sofa, checking the time on his wristwatch.
Nathan Moore called Felix Shaw again, but there was still no answer.
Thinking that Felix wouldn’t joke about such matters, Nathan Moore’s expression turned serious. Meeting a man privately? Which man could it be, that foreign devil or Wesley Foley...
But, no matter which man it was, he would not allow it.
He called Felix Shaw again, and the phone went straight to voicemail, out of frustration he threw his phone onto the passenger seat, pressed harder on the gas pedal, as his black SUV weaved through the traffic like a dragon. Thankfully, the road leading to the east of the city wasn’t as congested as downtown.
...
Standing on the toilet, Titus Zane peered out of the window below, the building was eleven stories high, even if he could reach the window, escape was impossible. He wasn’t Spider-Man, so what to do?
Stepping down from the toilet, Titus Zane frantically paced in place.
What to do, what to do, he had seemed to heard something break earlier, if he wasn’t mistaken, it must have been his phone...
"Carry, are you done?" Knowing that Titus Zane was just making excuses, Colt Thornton didn’t play along, standing at the bathroom door, he knocked on the wooden door, even though he could already see through the frosted glass Titus Zane’s shadow pacing inside.
"Oh, I haven’t showered yet." Titus quickly responded and immediately turned on the shower, with the sound of running water filling the air.
Through the door, Colt Thornton smirked coldly, "Fine, I’ll give you ten minutes. If you’re not out by then, don’t blame me for being rude."
Titus Zane had never felt time pass so quickly before. When alone, he always felt time was dragging, but now, he hadn’t thought of a plan yet, and Colt Thornton was already reminding him from outside the door.
"Carry, ten minutes are up, come out quickly, my patience is limited,"
Biting his lip, Titus Zane braced himself and squeezed his voice,
"Mr. Thornton, I haven’t finished showering..."
With a bang, the door to the restroom was kicked open by Colt Thornton.
