Chapter 594 - 590, What are you doing in the bathroom? (A close call)
CHAPTER 594: 590, WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THE BATHROOM? (A CLOSE CALL)
Watching Alder Locke leave, Cordelia Stuart huffed in anger and frustration. The heiress of RichHealth Ltd, sought after by so many, had encountered such a blind fool today.
She looked around and, fortunately, the guests were all engaged in conversation and nobody noticed the scene here. She placed the empty glass in her hand forcefully onto a passing server’s tray and strode towards the restroom, lifting the hem of her dress.
"Bastard, just wait until I find out which company’s employee you are, you won’t get away with this!"
In the restroom, Caspian Warner tiptoed through each cubicle to check them, opening doors only to gently close them upon finding them empty. He had checked most of the row, with only the last two unexamined.
Hearing rustling noises, Caspian Warner was sure that ’Carry’ was in the second-to-last stall. He reached out and gently pulled at the door, finding it locked. His thick lips curved upwards slightly, and with a handkerchief taken out from the pocket of his dress pants, he stepped back a few paces. Just as he was about to kick open the stall door, a sudden roar exploded, nearly deafening him.
"You pervert! What are you doing in the ladies’ restroom!" stormed in Cordelia Stuart with a menacing air, her outburst revealing two stout legs under the raised evening gown.
Startled, Caspian Warner turned to leave, but Cordelia Stuart quickly removed her high heels and started attacking Caspian Warner with a relentless beating, "You pervert! Trying to get away after doing something bad, see if I don’t beat you for stripping in the ladies’ room, for being a pervert..."
It was a bad year for her. After encountering one ludicrous individual who was out of his depth, she ran into a pervert in the restroom. Cordelia Stuart vented all her anger on Caspian Warner, not caring if he was a foreigner or what his status was; a man boldly entering the ladies’ restroom was definitely up to no good.
Caspian Warner, being tall and strong, could have easily gotten away, but since his plan was interrupted, he had to leave quickly. Pushing aside the clawing Cordelia Stuart, he hung his head and walked out of the restroom with long strides.
"Pervert! If I see you again, you’re getting beaten every time!"
Cordelia Stuart, brandishing the high heels, hurled insults at Caspian Warner’s retreating figure. Meanwhile, from inside the stall, Titus Zane helped Amelia straighten out her dress and they walked out together. Seeing the pair, Cordelia Stuart felt embarrassed; after all, everyone attending the annual meeting was a prominent figure. She put on her high heels and stepped forward, raising her chin with an air of righteousness, "Good thing I arrived in time, or that pervert would have had his way with you two by now!"
Titus Zane and Amelia looked at each other, bewildered. They hadn’t heard anything in the stall, save for the shouts of a woman; there was no sign of a second person’s voice.
After glancing at Cordelia Stuart, who had been soaked in red wine and had a scuffle with Caspian Warner, Titus Zane thought she looked like a madwoman, nothing like a sane person.
Titus Zane nodded politely with a curved lip and quickly led Amelia past her.
It was best to stay away from such abnormal women as quickly as possible.
After leaving the restroom, Amelia looked up and asked in a low voice, "Sister, do you think that woman just now is mentally ill?"
Titus Zane did not confirm but simply replied with a smile, "Sister doesn’t know for sure."
Amelia pouted, "She looked like it, just like a crazy woman in a cartoon, shouting and screaming all by herself."
Amelia’s uninhibited child talk brought out a smile from Titus Zane, who said nothing more; after all, it wasn’t her own daughter and she had no right to lecture.
Titus Zane led Amelia back to the banquet hall, unaware that the woman she considered abnormal had saved her once.
