CHAPTER 603: 599, KIDNAP

Titus Zane was conscious, but his limbs were weak and he couldn’t move. He tried to move his lips but couldn’t make a sound, and even struggling took all the strength he didn’t have.

Like a puppet on strings, he could only move when someone else controlled him.

He was clear in his mind—he had been kidnapped. Dazed and confused, he prayed silently for Nathan Moore to come quickly and save him...

Caspian Warner had one arm around Titus Zane. Despite being tall and big, he had to accommodate Titus’s pace, walking unhurriedly to the beat like a hip-hop dancer on TV.

As they reached the entrance of the restroom, a girl about to enter was taken aback by Warner’s audacious presence in the ladies’ room. Warner remained unfazed, cracking a wide smile that revealed his teeth and even whistled at the girl flirtatiously.

Men showing up in the ladies’ restroom were often misconstrued as perverts, and since Warner was a dark-skinned foreigner with a big and intimidating build, the girl let out a shriek and turned to run away.

Warner raised an eyebrow and glanced down at the girl he was cradling before continuing to walk outside.

...

Before reaching an area with fewer people, Alder Locke suddenly stopped in his tracks, turned around instinctively, and his face turned pale with shock when he saw that Titus Zane was no longer at the counter. He quickly doubled back with long strides.

Thanks to his tall stature, he sliced through the crowd blocking his path and arrived at the counter in just a few minutes.

"Excuse me, the woman who was picking out food here just now—where is she?"

Perhaps because they were a standout couple, the clerk pointed out, "She seemed to have gone to the restroom."

After thanking the clerk, Alder Locke strode toward the direction pointed out. If he wasn’t mistaken, the woman was trying to use this as a chance to escape.

His handsome face wore a serious expression, and his eyes couldn’t hide his sternness.

Although the department store was crowded with shoppers, not many people were in the restroom. As he turned a short corridor, he was met by a foreign man holding a woman, walking slowly towards him. Locke heard the man turn his head and say in English, "Darling, don’t be lazy. You have hands and feet; I’m not going to carry you..."

The two were intimately entwined, and the narrow corridor forced Locke to sidestep to let the foreign couple pass before he continued toward the restroom with big strides.

It might not be appropriate for a man to enter the ladies’ restroom, but Alder Locke couldn’t care less. Worried that Titus Zane might take this chance to flee, he entered without hesitation.

Inside, some stalls were open and others were closed. Ignoring the open ones, Locke quickly checked each closed stall, but there was no sign of Titus Zane, and his face grew stormier. He turned to head outside while pulling out his phone.

He decided to call that woman first. If she answered, it would mean she hadn’t escaped. If not... he wouldn’t be blamed for being unmerciful; he would inform Grandfather Zane to bring her back.

Just as he stepped out of the restroom, Locke stopped because... after he made the call, a ringtone sounded inside the ladies’ restroom...

After hesitating for a moment, Locke didn’t hang up. Still on the phone, he turned back, pushed the door closed, and followed the ringing. In the corner behind the restroom door, a phone lay silently on the floor.
