CHAPTER 726: 722, DIDN’T ENDURE BRICKS IN VAIN
Although Felix Shaw said it was nothing, Mia Foster still insisted on taking him to the hospital. Worried about misdiagnosis at other hospitals, she specifically took him to Evander Lancaster’s private hospital.
After a scan and examination, the brick wall just unloaded at the construction site wasn’t very high, and it was hollow, so Felix only suffered soft tissue injuries, and his muscles and bones were unaffected.
After seeing the scans, Evander Lancaster had the nurse bring over some medicine for bruises and inflammation, and he put them in front of Felix and asked with a smile, "What’s the matter, big bro, playing the hero to save the beauty?"
"Cut it out!" Felix glared at him unhappily, then turned to Mia Foster, "Keep the medicine safe."
Mia Foster gathered up the medicines and put them in her bag, still shaken by the sudden danger.
"Big bro," Evander Lancaster sat down across from Felix, grinning cheekily, "What’s there to be embarrassed about? Showing bravery in front of your own woman, that would move her, and she might even adore you for it," after saying that, Evander looked at Mia and asked with a smile, "Sis, are you moved now?"
"Evander, Felix wasn’t just trying to show off, it was really too dangerous at the time, I even forgot to react..." Mia Foster explained earnestly, having been shielded beneath Felix, her office outfit no longer pristine, stained with a lot of mud, and her face smeared with dust.
"Tsk tsk," Evander Lancaster clicked his tongue, turning to Felix opposite him, "See that, big bro? Your suffering wasn’t in vain, now sis is all protective of you."
"Buzz off!" Felix responded irritably, then pushed off the desk to stand up, "Mia, let’s go home."
Mia Foster came over and supported Felix’s arm, walking together out of the office.
"Leaving just like that? Aren’t you going to wash your face? People might think you two were out in the fields having some wild fun!" Evander Lancaster continued to tease from behind them. Felix didn’t say anything, but Mia turned her head back, giving Evander a disapproving look, "Evander, Felix is hurt like this, how can you still joke around with him!"
"How bad is he hurt? Is it serious?" Evander Lancaster stood up too, carelessly walking over with his hands in the pockets of his white coat, "I’m telling you, sis, don’t be misled by his looks. Big bro is tough, even in his current state he could still handle you for three days and nights without getting out of bed.
Mia Foster...
speechlessly glanced at Evander Lancaster and then helped Felix leave.
With Felix injured, Mia Foster had no choice but to drive him home first. They had planned to have lunch together but didn’t expect such an incident.
Parking the car in front of the villa’s gate, Mia rushed out of the car to the passenger’s side to open the door and help him out.
Seeing her nervousness, Felix couldn’t help but laugh, "No need to be so anxious, I’m not immobile."
But Mia insisted, "You got hurt because of me, so it’s only right that I take care of you."
After saying that, she suddenly thought of something, stopped walking, and looked up at Felix, "Maybe you should be hospitalized,"
Felix Shaw...
"If my injury were serious, Evander would have already had me admitted."
"Or maybe you could stay at my place? It would be easier for me to take care of you."
Looking at Mia Foster’s naive and concerned expression, Felix couldn’t help but feel a mix of amusement and frustration, "Please, there’s a maid at home, there’s no need for me to do anything myself!"
"But I’m still worried," Mia lowered her eyes and continued to support Felix as they walked towards the villa, "You got hurt because of me, and just thinking about it makes me uncomfortable,"
