Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 133 - 132: Your Smile Hurts Me More Than Your Tears
CHAPTER 133: CHAPTER 132: YOUR SMILE HURTS ME MORE THAN YOUR TEARS
Serena didn’t ask Ethan as Yvette suggested. On the way back, she was silent, and so was he.
Returning to "Willow Yarrow," Serena went straight to her room, climbed into bed, and went to sleep without dinner.
Finn came to Solaria because he was worried about Serena. Recently, Zoe Quinn had suffered twice at Serena’s hands, and her reputation in Solaria had plummeted.
Ethan didn’t release the video of his painting process, nor did he need to; no one would believe that Ethan copied her work.
She was smart; after fainting at The Grant Corporation’s entrance, she hid away in the hospital.
This time, she was severely hit. Zoe won’t recover quickly enough to deal with Serena. The matters with the Chambers Family in the Imperial Capital were still unresolved, so Finn had to rush back.
"Little Finn, when will you be back again?"
At the airport, Anna looked at Finn with a face full of sorrow. She was afraid of being left alone in Solaria to "oppose" Ethan!
"Don’t worry, Ethan wouldn’t let anyone harm Serena."
Finn saw through Anna’s thoughts and said calmly, then turned his head to look at Serena, who seemed lost in thought.
Regarding Zoe framing Serena for plagiarism, it was Ethan’s setup just to vent on behalf of Serena.
They originally thought Ethan didn’t love Serena, so they stayed by her side, afraid she’d get hurt again!
But so what if Ethan loved Serena!
The two of them can’t go back to how they were!
"Serena!"
Finn squatted down, and his hand grasped Serena’s. The absent-minded Serena smiled faintly at him.
"The Chambers Family is just like that. Don’t exhaust yourself too much."
Serena spoke first.
The Chambers Family seemed glorious on the outside, but it was rotten within. Finn, having taken over the mess from the elders, had been under immense pressure!
"Mm."
Finn responded. In the world, sometimes you have no choice; no matter how difficult, you must persevere.
"Yeah," Anna continued, "Little Finn, no matter how well you do for the Chambers Family, they won’t remember your kindness."
"Now, Serena is a rich woman, and I also have money. Even without the Chambers Family, we can support you."
"Where did Serena get the money?" Finn laughed. The three percent shares of The Sullivan Corporation weren’t worth much.
"What’s Ethan’s is Serena’s," Anna had thought it through. If Serena and Ethan ever separated, she would hire the best lawyer to fiercely fight for Serena’s share of Ethan’s assets.
Serena and Finn exchanged smiles. Both knew that even if Serena and Ethan separated, she wouldn’t take money from the Grant Family.
Some things can’t be bought back with money.
"Anna, I’m a bit hungry. Can you get me something to eat?" Finn suddenly said. Anna responded with an "oh" and started walking but suddenly felt something was off. She turned to look at Finn, who was half-squatting and talking to Serena. The restaurant was just ahead; why not go together? Why send her alone!
Thinking about it, Anna obediently went anyway.
"What do you want to say to me?"
Watching Anna walk away, Serena asked with a smile.
When Finn met Serena, he thought her smile was too beautiful. When Serena smiled, it was like bright sunshine shining into his dark world.
He and Serena were different people but became the best of friends.
"Serena, your smile hurts me more than tears!"
