CHAPTER 161: CHAPTER 160: SERENA SULLIVAN’S AFFAIR

"What’s going on here!"

Renee Grant saw Serena Sullivan’s people confronting her own in the Lockwood territory and ordered sharply, "Bring them up."

Serena turned her head towards Sister Ann, who was red-eyed with anxiety, and smiled, "Don’t let go. If they force their way in."

"Mr. Grant will be here soon."

Renee glanced down at the guests who were gossiping, her eyes skimmed over Serena, who was smiling, and her lips curled as she continued, "Four years ago, she took five million from the Grant Family and agreed to leave Ethan."

The moment her words fell, the guests looked at Serena in shock, even those who had felt sorry for her now showed disdain.

This was disgust towards Serena’s breach of promise!

"Since she’s returned and married our Ethan..." Renee slowed her voice, turning to Serena, "Serena, our family isn’t that heartless."

Whether the Grant Family was heartless, they knew best themselves.

Serena smiled and responded appropriately, knowing Renee’s invitation to the stage was not merely to speak such courteous words.

In the past, the Grant Family strongly opposed her and Ethan; now, only more vehemently.

"Going forward, make sure to stay well with Ethan."

Renee’s expression turned cold, her voice dimming; she was much older than Ethan and favored by the elder Master Grant and the old lady, treating Serena with the attitude of an elder admonishing a junior.

The sound of "smack" followed by a flash, and the incriminating photo on the large screen hanging on the wall suddenly flicked on, grabbing everyone’s attention in the banquet hall.

"What is that! Serena with another man."
