CHAPTER 174: CHAPTER 173: SO THIS IS THE ROOT

Ruth Hale didn’t listen to Serena Sullivan’s words; she was immersed in the thought of how ecstatic she would feel after Serena’s face was slapped to a pulp.

"Go, grab that little girl tightly."

"If you do this, I’ll help you sign up for The Brilliance Competition."

Ruth Hale said to the girl next to her.

The girl looked at Ruth with confusion and shook her head repeatedly after hearing she was supposed to hit someone, "I can’t."

"Useless thing!"

Ruth said angrily and slapped the girl’s face, leaving a clear mark of five fingers on her cheek.

After slapping someone, Ruth felt even better.

She glanced coldly at Serena, deliberately slowing her steps, approaching like a hunter stalking its prey.

As for the little girl behind Serena, she saw her as nothing more than a servant, not worth any attention.

Couldn’t she expect this servant to scream and hide in the corner when a slap reached Serena?

Ruth quickly walked up to Serena, raising her hand high, ready to deliver a hard hit.

Being suddenly kicked by a little girl, Ruth’s heart shattered in pain.

Serena wheeled herself closer and watched Ruth struggle to get up, then smiled, "You’re just as useless as Zoe Quinn!"

Thinking no surveillance was present, she dared to pull tricks on a cripple.

Would she dare come to The Sullivan Corporation without capable people by her side?

The Sullivan Corporation is a den of dragons and tigers; is she that foolish?

"Ms. Hale, do you still want to hit?"

Serena asked.

To hit, Ruth wanted to slap Serena with a grudge, but the little girl beside her was staring intently.

Ruth was scared of being kicked again!

"Serena, this is The Sullivan Corporation. How dare you treat me like this! President Quinn won’t let you off!"

Knowing she couldn’t win against Serena’s people, Ruth immediately cowered.

No matter how high and mighty she acted daily, a single kick revealed her true nature.

"So you also know this is The Sullivan Corporation!"

Serena said amusedly. As someone from The Sullivan Family, she was in her family’s company yet still bullied.

"I thought it had already become the Quinn family’s."

Joel Quinn’s intentions were obvious, only Claire Sullivan would believe his lies.

Ruth was at a loss for words against Serena’s remarks.

"Regardless if it’s the Quinn or Sullivan family, Joel Quinn is in charge now."

Zoe Quinn was forced to her death by Serena, and now Ruth was beaten too, leaving her pride unfulfilled.

She walked over to the desk, secretly clutching her phone in her hand.

"You let someone hit me; this can’t be forgiven!"

As she said this, Ruth quickly picked up the phone and burst into tears the moment she spoke, "President Quinn, please come quickly!"

Serena watched Ruth suddenly cry, finding the scene all too familiar.

She could indeed cry at will. Serena used to wonder from whom Zoe inherited her crying skills—turns out, the root was here!
