"I saw a watch in the office, and someone who knows tech looked at it and said there’s a surveillance device inside."

"Joel, the two of us in the office this morning, Serena recorded it."

"That watch belongs to Serena."

Ruth spoke through gritted teeth.

Similarly, Joel was furious upon hearing this.

He turned his head to glance at Claire, who was watching him on the call, steadied himself, and said calmly, "I understand."

"That’s that, I’ll come by tomorrow to deal with it."

Joel spoke in a businesslike tone, then decisively hung up the phone.

He returned to the dining table, noticing Claire watching him with a look of concern, he felt a bit panicked, afraid that she might have heard or discovered something.

"Is there something urgent at the company?"

Hearing Claire’s question, Joel determined that she still knew nothing.

"Yeah."

He responded, following Claire’s words.

"Is it urgent?" Claire asked again, having handed over management of The Sullivan Corporation to Joel, she mostly didn’t inquire about its matters.

Over the years, The Sullivan Corporation had thrived under Joel’s management, and she felt more at ease.

She genuinely trusted this man.

"Yeah!" Joel nodded again with a frown.

He urgently wanted to go over and see what exactly Serena had captured on video.

Were both his and Ruth’s faces clearly visible in the video?

Joel turned his head to gaze at Claire, no, he had worked too hard for so many years, he absolutely couldn’t let it all fall apart now.

"Joel, you go ahead and take care of it."

Claire suggested, seeing Joel look so serious.

Joel didn’t immediately agree, deliberately showing hesitation, "I wanted to have a quiet dinner with you."

As he spoke, he held Claire’s hand.

Claire smiled slightly, "Dinner can always be eaten later, but not dealing with this could greatly impact The Sullivan Corporation."

"Alright." Joel stood up, "I’ll go alone then."

He knew Claire wouldn’t agree to go with him.

"No, Zoe is still in the room. She’s been in a bad mood lately, and I’ll stay home with her."

"Okay." Joel replied, bending down to kiss Claire’s forehead, "I’ll be back soon."

With that, he turned around and quickly left The Sullivan Residence.

Claire watched his hurried figure, thinking The Sullivan Corporation must have something urgent, sigh, Joel had really worked hard managing The Sullivan Corporation all these years, then thinking about Serena, who was opposing both her and Joel along with Zoe, Claire let out a long sigh.

Joel rushed to Ruth’s place as fast as possible, where Ruth played the video on the computer for him.

The situation in the video was intense, making Ruth’s face flush.

"Joel, what should we do now?"

Joel was initially quite panicked when he saw the video, but after watching it, he actually calmed down.

"Let her be."

He smirked.

Trying to bring him down with a mere video, Serena was too naive.

"Copy the video for me."

Joel then said, and Ruth was momentarily stunned, her face turning even redder, assuming he wanted it for private viewing.

"I really want to see how she thinks she can take me down with this video!"
