"Ethan, did Serena know all along about Shannon Shaw framing her, and that’s why she deliberately waited for the police chief to come?"

Zoe Quinn spoke angrily, "Shannon is wrong, but we’ve worked together for several days, we’re colleagues!"

"Why did Serena have to call the police chief? If this gets out, how will Shannon Shaw be able to stand in the company in the future?"

"How could she be so ruthless!"

Throughout the entire incident, Zoe Quinn cleverly avoided implicating herself. She claimed to be unaware of Shannon Shaw’s framing of Serena, positioning herself as the biggest victim.

Then there’s Serena, with her cries painting her as a woman lacking collegiality, malicious and cunning.

No wonder Sean Lockwood is so devoted to Zoe Quinn.

After finishing his cigarette, Ethan Grant curled his lips into a disdainful smile and glanced coldly at Zoe Quinn, who was holding her phone expectantly, looking at him.

"Give me the phone!"

Ethan demanded, and Zoe Quinn’s eyes lit up, thinking Ethan wanted to listen to that recording again. She confidently insisted that once Ethan understood the true nature of Serena, he would abandon her.

"Did you make a backup?" Ethan opened the voice recording, asking Zoe Quinn calmly.

Zoe shook her head, "I recorded it and came immediately..."

Realizing her mistake halfway through, she quickly corrected herself, "I wanted you, Ethan, to hear it first."

"Alright!"

He responded deeply, his mere utterance of "Alright" was so magnetic that it made Zoe’s heart race even faster as she looked at Ethan with eyes full of blushing admiration.

Ethan focused on the phone screen, decisively pressing "delete," then handed the phone back to Zoe.

Zoe took the phone back in confusion, her eyes brimming with love for Ethan, "Ethan, what about Serena now..."

She asked expectantly but decided it was too direct, lowering her head to look at her phone, stunned.

Where was that recording?

Zoe frantically searched for the recording on her phone, flipping through it for a long time without finding a trace of it.

"I’ve already dismissed Shannon Shaw. In Solaria, no company will want her."

"What!" Zoe, anxious from searching, looked up in shock at Ethan. Shannon Shaw has been dismissed?

"Ethan, she just stole a little thing, and the necklace was found too. To enter The Grant Corporation, Shannon cozied up to her intensely, even spending all her savings to please her. If Shannon Shaw is blacklisted by all Solaria enterprises, she’d certainly hate Zoe to death."

Thinking that the recording disappeared after giving the phone to Ethan, Zoe’s head began to ache, "Ethan..."

Without giving her a chance to speak, Ethan turned his back, continuing to look out the window, "The money I transferred to your card last time, did you receive it?"

"Money?" Zoe paused, recalling the more than a million previously transferred by Ethan, wasn’t it a gift of apology?

"Hardship pay."

After Ethan spoke, footsteps were heard from outside the door, and he turned to see Yvette Sterling returning.

"Ethan, what hardship pay, I don’t understand."

In truth, she understood, Zoe wasn’t foolish. Since she was ordered by Ethan to be slapped ten times in the marketplace, she knew the truth!

However, she refused to admit it or to resign herself.

"I’ll transfer the money to you immediately."

As Zoe spoke, she took out her phone, ready to transfer back the sum of money to Ethan.
