CHAPTER 115: CHAPTER 115: ONLY IF I DIE CAN MIA REDGRAVE LIVE
Mia Redgrave covered her mouth with her hand, her eyes reddening again, "Forget it, Leo, I’ve become like this now, and Daddy has been captured. I just wanted to marry you but got humiliated like this. It seems I’m destined not to be with you."
After saying this, Mia burst into tears and tried to run, but Leo Lynch held her in his arms, "Mona, don’t worry. No matter what happens, I will marry you."
Initially, Leo didn’t want to believe what Mia said, but now seeing it, Seraphina Redgrave indeed seemed possessed.
It appeared she was simply too obsessed with him.
Old Mrs. Lynch felt relieved and looked at Seraphina with even more disfavor. She said to the butler, who was helpless against the large crowd following Seraphina, "Go summon people from the Lynch Family and throw out these malicious bastards. Let them know that our Lynch Family is not to be trifled with."
Such audacity, daring to cause havoc at the Lynch Family estate.
Upon hearing these words, Seraphina Redgrave chuckled indifferently. She removed the black velvet gloves from her hands, revealing her fair slender fingers and the jade bracelet on her wrist, "Today, let’s see who dares to touch me."
No sooner had she said this than the butler, who hadn’t even reached the door, was thrown back inside by the bodyguards at the entrance. The sound seemed as if his arm or leg had been broken; the crisp sound of bones breaking made everyone shudder.
Leo Lynch was also taken aback. After reacting, he immediately shielded Mia in his arms, his eyes filled with displeasure as he looked at Seraphina, "Seraphina Redgrave, whether or not I confessed to you before, whether or not I liked you, but now, the one I want to marry is only Mona."
Seraphina looked at Leo, her eyes filled with coldness, "So, you are determined to marry Mia Redgrave, aren’t you?"
No matter what, he did like Seraphina at one point. Seeing her cold expression, he instinctively felt startled, so Leo turned his head slightly, "Yes, I love Mona. No matter what you say or do, I believe her, love her, and love only her."
Seraphina listened to his words but laughed, "Leo, we have no grudge. I didn’t plan to do anything to you, but now that you’ve decided to help the Redgrave family, I have no choice."
After saying this, she extended her hand.
The bodyguard beside her immediately handed her a gleaming dagger, and in the next second, the dagger was pointed at Leo’s neck.
Seraphina’s gaze was icy, "I’ve come today to kill Lena Lynch and Mia Redgrave. Since you insist on protecting the Redgrave mother and daughter, I have no choice but to clear the obstacles."
Seraphina wasn’t joking; she moved her hand slightly, and the sharp dagger left a long bloody mark on Leo’s neck.
Leo never expected Seraphina to treat him like this. It hurt and shocked him, looking at her in disbelief, "You want to kill me?"
Seeing this scene, Lena was so frightened she couldn’t speak.
How could Seraphina change like this?
"What are you all standing there for? Don’t you see the Third Young Master is injured? Hurry up and throw this crazy woman out!"
Old Mrs. Lynch looked at Seraphina hurting her precious grandson and was furious.
The servants finally reacted, but before they could approach Seraphina, they were intercepted by the bodyguards in black, thrown to the ground, injured, and all lying on the floor groaning.
Even the servant holding the wedding ring was pulled, and the ring flew out, rolling somewhere unknown.
The flowers on the ground looked miserable.
Mia hid behind Leo, watching the sudden upheaval, the scene eerily reminiscent of everything in Kaelor.
Seraphina had ruined her birthday party and now her wedding.
Mia glanced around and finally picked up a decorative wooden sculpture from the villa, ready to throw it, only to be flipped over by a bodyguard.
The heavy sculpture fell on Mia’s leg, making her scream.
"Mona!"
"Mona!"
Leo and Lena, drawn by the cry, looked worriedly at Mia.
Lena rushed over, shielding Mia, then looked at Seraphina, reverting to a delicate and weak demeanor, "Seraphina, we raised you to this age, and this is how you repay us?"
Lena intended to use her old tactics, but before Seraphina could speak, Mia interjected, "Mom!"
Lena had clearly forgotten that Mia never publicly acknowledged Seraphina as her sister, a fact even unknown to Leo.
Upon hearing this, Leo, ignoring the pain in his neck, turned his head with a shock, "Raised?"
Lena realized she’d said something wrong, her face turning ashen.
Looking at Seraphina, who clearly wouldn’t leave without taking their lives, she forgot about hiding Seraphina’s identity.
Looking at Lena and Mia, who were slumped on the ground, Seraphina laughed mercilessly, pressing the dagger to Ethan Sterling’s neck, her eyes cold, "Fine, today I’ll let you die understanding, yes, I’m not Sylvia Shaw. I am Seraphina Redgrave."
Leo looked at the indifferent young woman.
She finally stopped hiding the truth from them.
"Mia Redgrave, at birth, was told by a fortune teller she’d suffer illness, calamity, and not survive adulthood." Seraphina spoke slowly, "To change her fate, another girl with the exact birth details had to take her place. That girl had to die for Mia to live."
Leo stared blankly at Seraphina, completely still, just quietly watching.
What did Seraphina mean?
He always knew Jonathan Redgrave was superstitious, but would he really do such a thing?
"That girl with the same birth details as Mia, was me."
Seraphina gripped the dagger tighter, her gaze on Leo growing colder, "Three years ago, the Redgrave family tried to send me to a sixty-year-old man’s bed, and I struggled to get out and find you, but you made a call and sent me back."
"What?"
Leo’s pupils quaked as he looked at Seraphina.
"Leo, I didn’t run away from home; I was thrown into a forbidden zone for three years." Seraphina looked at Leo, "So now that I’ve hurt you, consider it repayment for the past."
If not for trusting Leo, she wouldn’t have gone to him back then.
But he turned around and sent her back to the abyss.
"Impossible... how could this..."
"I don’t care what you think of me."
Seraphina continued to press the dagger closer.
"Impossible, impossible."
Leo couldn’t accept the truth from those years, taking a step back in shock, paying no heed to the dagger, as his neck bled once more.
Old Mrs. Lynch’s breath hitched.
Leo, however, seemed unfazed, looking back at Mia and Lena, "Auntie, Mona, is what Seraphina said true?"
"How could it be!" Mia, slumped on the ground, shouted hoarsely, "Yes, we raised her, but she has paranoia, thinking our family treated her poorly."
Leo believed Mia.
Even if the whole world spoke against the Redgrave family, he’d still believe Mia.
But he was no fool to be easily deceived.
