Chapter 160: Seraphina Redgrave Fires a Gun
CHAPTER 160: CHAPTER 160: SERAPHINA REDGRAVE FIRES A GUN
Nathan Ayers looked at Seraphina Redgrave, somewhat surprised.
Seraphina walked calmly down the stairs, her steps very light, descending slowly one step at a time, but tightening the robe around her waist.
Her waist was slender and could be easily grasped.
When she reached the main hall, Ethan Sterling was still standing there, holding a gun in his hand, his face expressionless, but the ferocity in his eyes deepened, as if suppressing a raging storm within.
He was restraining himself, even though his sanity was almost collapsing.
Chloe Quinn was still trying to persuade Ryan Sterling, but Ryan became more agitated as he spoke, pointing at Ethan and cursing, "You’re nothing but a damn piece of trash, the bloodline of the Morgan Family should perish! Your genes shouldn’t exist in this world."
Seraphina didn’t know what Ethan was thinking now; he could have left, avoiding Ryan’s insults, but he stood there, motionless.
There’s no need.
Seraphina approached Ethan, making her presence known.
Ryan’s gaze turned cold upon seeing Seraphina, and Chloe and Selena Quinn were both quite surprised as they looked at her.
Only Ethan didn’t look at Seraphina, as if he were frozen in place.
"I just came for a drink of water, pretend you didn’t see me."
Seraphina’s gaze fell on the teapot on the coffee table, then she walked forward and poured herself a cup of water.
She picked up the glass cup, took a sip, and turned to leave.
She paused for a moment when passing by Ethan, turning to look at him: "Aren’t you coming back?"
"You go first."
Ethan remained standing there, still not looking at her, his voice icy.
"Alright."
Seraphina nodded and continued walking forward.
Suddenly, she tossed the cup in her hand backward, swiftly sidestepped to take the gun from Ethan’s hand, and agilely pounced in front of Ryan.
Expressionless, she pinned Ryan’s left hand on the coffee table and pressed the gun against it, pulling the trigger.
Without a moment’s hesitation.
"Bang!"
A loud bang unfolded.
Chloe and Selena Quinn widened their eyes.
Even Ryan was stunned, his hand shot through yet unable to make a sound, only looking dazedly at Seraphina.
Nathan Ayers was so excited he almost applauded Seraphina.
Silence fell over the hall, so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Ethan’s deep and pained eyes finally cracked open slightly, looking at Seraphina, his breath trembling.
As if something was boiling in his veins.
"Mr. Sterling." Seraphina pressed down on Ryan, her clear eyes devoid of any emotion as she looked at him: "I’m not Ethan, nor do I follow his orders. This shot doesn’t count as defying his mother’s wishes."
The one who harmed Ryan was not Ethan, but her, Seraphina Redgrave.
Ryan finally snapped back to reality, emitting a heartrending scream in the old mansions of The Sterling Family, despite his former grandeur in the business world, now screaming like a pig being slaughtered.
"Ryan!"
Chloe frantically rushed over, intending to push Seraphina away, but Ethan sternly commanded, "You dare to move!"
Chloe shrank back, too frightened to move.
Selena stood still, looking at Ethan, whose eyes only had Seraphina.
He stared straight at Seraphina, seemingly in shock, perhaps in love.
Having been slapped by her father earlier didn’t even hold a place in Ethan’s mind.
"Call a doctor! Call a doctor now!"
Chloe shouted frantically.
Several servants rushed over, and chaos erupted in the main hall.
Seraphina left Ryan, who was in agony and on the verge of convulsion, and handed a phone to the bodyguard beside her, then walked toward Ethan.
Ethan stood there, unmoving, watching her approach with fierce eyes.
The next second, he could no longer hold it, his eyes turned red.
"Kill her for me!" Ryan lay on the ground, roaring in hatred, "Are you just going to stand and watch? Kill her for me!"
But the bodyguards dared not act rashly in front of Ethan.
Chloe, distressed, held Ryan’s still bleeding hand and looked at Ethan: "Ethan, she went too far. No matter what, Ryan is your father by blood, how could she do this?"
Ethan fixated his eyes on Seraphina, his voice hoarse: "Yes, why do such a thing?"
Seraphina stood before him, grabbing the robe around his waist, circling it slowly, her voice charming: "I just want you to come back to sleep with me; they’re too noisy, bothering you, it’s so annoying."
In a tone like a kept lover.
Ethan looked at Seraphina’s fingers, smiling wickedly: "Really?"
His eyes still red.
"Yes." Seraphina didn’t even glance at the chaos behind her, reaching to touch Ethan’s belt, smiling sweetly, "Can we go back to the room now? Let’s not care about these chaotic people, okay?"
Her eyes were originally crystal clear, but now they appeared enchanting.
Makes one willing to do anything for her.
"Alright."
How could Ethan refuse?
Seeing Ethan about to leave with Seraphina, Selena couldn’t help but speak: "Ethan brother, father is injured..."
Before she could finish, Seraphina interrupted her: "Ryan has you to take care of him, your Ethan brother is busy accompanying me, he has no time."
Seraphina smiled seductively, her eyes filled with laughter, not sparing Selena another glance, pulling Ethan by his belt to leave.
Selena’s face turned pale in an instant, even paler than Ryan lying on the ground.
Ethan, like a puppet, let Seraphina lead him away, ignoring the screams behind him, Chloe’s cries, and Selena’s pleas.
As if only Seraphina remained in this world.
Nathan Ayers stood upstairs watching, his tightly clenched fist finally relaxed.
All these years, Young Master Sterling faced Ryan’s insults time and again to avoid disappointing his mother.
As Ethan’s assistant, Nathan could help Ethan a lot in work and life, but he was powerless when it came to facing Ryan.
The Sterling Family was full of Young Master Sterling’s folks, but Nathan knew, in truth, Young Master Sterling was always alone here.
Tonight, finally someone stood by Young Master Sterling’s side, how wonderful.
Seraphina led Ethan back to the room, closing the door, she let go of Ethan’s belt, and the smile vanished from her face.
Ethan looked at his drooping belt, his chest unexpectedly ached a bit.
He grasped Seraphina’s wrist, pinning her to the wall, breathing heavily as he moved closer.
He just held Seraphina there, saying nothing, merely looking at her, his eyes flushed red, like a wilting rose.
Seraphina leaned against the wall, looking at Ethan: "Why didn’t you leave?"
He could completely avoid bearing those insults.
