Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend
Chapter 221: He’s Waiting for Her
CHAPTER 221: HE’S WAITING FOR HER
Carlie looked at the gorgeous crystal lamp above her head and was no longer sleepy.
The moment she saw Bruce in the elevator, she was sober and no longer had a headache.
She had never thought that Hilla’s backer was her boss.
The company that she was in was just a branch company owned by the Anderson Group.
If it wasn’t for the fact that she has been popular, she could almost have had no chance to see Bruce in person.
Even some of the artists who had entered the company at the same time with her had never seen Bruce in person once until now.
She had only met Bruce at the Annual Ball of the Anderson Group or some drinking parties. And she had greeted him a few times, but she thought he probably could not remember her.
But today, she lived in Bruce’s house. And she did not expect that his house was so simple with three bedrooms, a living room, and a dining room.
Carlie had no mood to comment on this because she thought of how Hilla addressed Bruce in the elevator.
That way Hilla called "hubby" shouldn’t just be the nickname for Bruce.
The way he looked at Hilla resignedly was as if he was looking at his wife, so she could feel that Bruce doted on Hilla.
It was said that Bruce got married and there was news about his wife and him going out to buy maternal and infant products on the internet.
Carlie seemed suddenly to wake up. Fortunately, Hilla brought her phone into the room and placed it on the nightstand.
The dim light in the room suddenly became bright when she turned the phone on.
In the light, one could only see a dim shape of Carlie’s clearly outlined face.
She quickly found the news on Twitter about Bruce going to the maternal shop with his wife.
The photos of Bruce and his wife embraced passionately and looked at each other affectionately were posted on the Internet.
This kind of high-profile style didn’t look like Bruce.
It was an act that showing off his wife!
The news said that the woman beside Bruce was his wife, and this news had been reposted by the official Anderson Group account.
Carlie was startled when looking at Hilla in the photo. No wonder that Hilla looked familiar to her when she first met Hilla, but she had not thought that Hilla would be the dignified Mrs. Anderson back then.
But she could recognize the woman in the photo was Hilla.
Her hand trembled, and then the phone slapped on her face and hit her prominent nose. It hurt so much that tears welled up in her eyes.
She now understood why the manager recommended that she could ask Hilla to design a dress.
At first, she thought it was because the big shot told the manager to curry favor with Hilla, so she was a little unwilling to look for Hilla.
Goodness! Such a good opportunity to ride on Mrs. Anderson’s coattails was wasted by her.
Fortunately, there was still a chance.
Hilla was indeed talented, and she was very satisfied with Hilla’s designs. Could this be considered as sucking up to the boss?
However, when she thought about how she had risked her life to live in Bruce’s house and disturbed Bruce and Hilla, Carlie had a feeling that she would be blacklisted tomorrow morning.
Carlie fell asleep with apprehension.
The next morning, she got up early and even tidied up the entire room. After she made sure that she would not be misunderstood by Bruce and Hilla, she slowly opened the door and walked down nonchalantly.
Normally, Hilla didn’t wake up at such an early hour, but Bruce was sitting at the dining table and eating.
When Carlie saw his indifferent and powerful back, she almost turned around and ran back upstairs.
"Miss, morning. What would you like to eat for breakfast?"
When the maid saw Carlie, she smiled and asked kindly.
The maids in the rich family were amiable. No matter how they hated the person standing in front of them, they could smile brightly.
The maid thought Carlie must have bad intentions because she was beautiful and "planned" to live here at such a late time.
The maid thought Carlie was definitely directed at Bruce.
Since Carlie was able to enter the room and stay here for a night, the maid thought Carlie was very brilliant.
The maid rarely watched TV or network TV shows, so she didn’t know Carlie at all.
She did not know that Carlie was just a popular star who worked in one of the branches owned by Bruce.
Carlie paused, and she could see the maid’s sharp eyes.
Carlie knew that she was regarded as a bad woman.
Although most female celebrities hoped that they could marry into a wealthy family, Carlie didn’t dare to marry Bruce.
While Carlie was still hesitating, Carlie found that Bruce had stopped eating and turned to look at her.
"Good morning, Mr. Anderson!"
Carlie faked a smile and she almost cried.
She thought that she could sneak away from here early.
However, she never thought that Bruce would be much more diligent than she thought.
At the very least, Bruce didn’t get up late!
Bruce whispered, "You’re an artist and work under the Anderson Group!"
He looked away, picked up the tissue on the table, and calmly wiped his hands. "Yes, I’m Carlie!"
Carlie replied obediently and silently walked to the dining table.
And then she said apologetically, "Mr. Anderson, thank you and Mrs. Anderson for taking me in last night."
"OK, that can’t happen anymore."
This threat was too direct.
Carlie felt aggrieved because she didn’t know that Hilla lived here nor did she know that Bruce also lived here.
If she knew, she wouldn’t let Stanley send her here.
Carlie realized her tragedy was all caused by Stanley, and she had completely become a blighter to Bruce for disturbing Hilla and him.
His eyes were so sharp that she even didn’t dare to look at him.
"Are you sober?"
Bruce frowned when he saw Carlie standing there in a daze. Carlie nodded vigorously, "Yes! I’m completely sober!" "Goodbye!"
Bruce was so direct that Carlie was deeply moved by his magnanimity.
It was good that Bruce would not blacklist her.
Carlie did not dare to stay any longer, so she quickly rushed out the door with her limited-edition high heels.
This was too thrilling. If she was not careful, she would lose her life.
Bruce was not a lascivious man. If he was, Carlie would have pounced on him. And Bruce was famous for being sexless!
...
As soon as Carlie came to the first floor, she heaved a sigh of relief. After she titivated her messy hair, she began to walk out gracefully.
As a celebrity, she had to maintain her image all the time.
To prevent herself from being recognized, she also took out the dark glasses and her clothes and put them on.
Carlie walked out of the apartment and saw Stanley leaning against a sports car.
Carlie was slightly startled, and then she rushed over somewhat angrily.
"How is it?"
Noticing how disheveled Carlie was, Stanley chortled.
Carlie was so enchanting, and she was also drunk last night. Although Hilla was beautiful, how could she compare with sexy Carlie?
That man had only taken a fancy to Hilla’s body, so he would probably not succumb to the temptation.
"Hilla and that man might have broken up, and Hilla might be chased out by that man later." Stanley thought.
Stanley wanted to see how miserable Hilla would be after she was abandoned because Hilla had always been dismissive of him.
Carlie was angry. However, as she approached Stanley, Stanley’s question startled her.
"What do you mean?"
How was it? If he stayed at his boss’s house for a night, he would know how she felt.
"That man is very rich. He should be very interested in you."
The people who could live in this community should be big shots.
Although Stanley had never seen that man, he knew that he must have a high social status.
Being with that man would benefit Carlie greatly, and Stanley thought he had helped her a lot.
Carlie was stunned for a moment before suddenly reacting.
She roared angrily, "Did you deliberately send me here last night?
"Are you crazy?
She was also crazy to follow Stanley in a daze last night.
Carlie once thought that they were friends after working together for a few months.
However, Stanley threw herself to the wolves.
"Does that man not take a fancy to you?"
Stanley was surprised because he didn’t think Carlie was less attractive than Hilla.
Moreover, Carlie was a better lover for men, while Hilla was too arrogant.
Carlie was irritated. At first, she wanted to scold him. But now, she wanted to beat him to a pulp.
"No wonder Hilla looks down on you. What else do you have other than your good look? Idiot!
"I was almost dragged down by you!"
Carlie said fiercely. And then she walked to the gate gracefully and coldly.
Before Carlie left Hilla’s house, she had called her agent and told her the address, so her agent was waiting for her outside in the car.
As for Stanley, Carlie had no mood to pay attention to him.
Because she was afraid that if she couldn’t control herself, she would strangle him.
Stanley furrowed his brows. He did have an ulterior motive in sending Carlie here and then asking Hilla to take Carlie home.
However, he didn’t believe that man was not interested in Carlie.
It was probably because Hilla was present that he didn’t do anything to Carlie.
It seemed that the outcome he wanted to see was only a matter of time.
Stanley smiled, calmly sat in the car, and then rushed to shoot a commercial.
Hilla slept until noon, and she had forgotten that Carlie was living in her house.
Hilla had been so busy these past few days that she was extremely exhausted.
As soon as she lay down, she hoped that she could wake up when she wanted.
Hilla turned over. When she checked the time, she was wide awake.
There was a message from Carlie in the Line, which was sent at a very early time.
Hilla was still asleep at that time, so she didn’t see it.
Carlie’s message was also very simple, saying, "I’m back. Thank you and Mr. Anderson for taking care of me last night."
Hilla didn’t expect Carlie to get up so early this morning because Carlie was hammered last night.
Hilla didn’t care too much but stretched lazily, changed into a thin set of casual clothes, and went downstairs.
Hilla thought that there was only the maid downstairs. However, she found Bruce sat upright on the sofa in the living room. He was looking at the computer while on the phone.
Did he not go to the company today?
Hilla thought about it and found that today was not his day off.
And the maid who should be at home was not now.
What was going on today?
Hilla was about to go forward, but Bruce suddenly turned his head to look at her.
His gaze darkened, and she was captivated by him instantly.
Hilla halted and stood still, watching him and meeting his eyes.
Could it be that she has been so busy recently that she neglected Bruce?
Why did she feel that his gaze was especially sexy just now?
Did she think too much? But why did his gaze could turn her on?
Hilla was embarrassed so she quickly shook her body and tried to speak in a steady voice, "Why didn’t you go to the company today?"
"I am waiting for you!"
If he went to the company, he could not see her today.
Hilla blushed. Somewhat, she felt that the way Bruce looked at her was too thought-provoking.
"Why are you waiting for me? I stay at home every day, and I don’t go anywhere..."
Bruce had approached and interrupted her. He took her in his arms and kissed her hard on the lips.
He put the computer, phone, and work away, and then went upstairs with Hilla.
Hilla didn’t have the chance to refuse because she was dizzy because of his sudden kiss, and then she wrapped her arms around his neck.
Looking at his silhouette in the crystal light, Hilla felt that the exertions and exhaustion these days suddenly turned into desire.
Hilla and Bruce breathed heavily. When Bruce kissed her on the ear, an odd exhilarating shiver ran through her.
She subconsciously grabbed the sheet and said coquettishly, "It’s still in the daytime."
Bruce was at a critical time, so he didn’t care whether it was in the daytime.
What was more, it was not easy for him to be with her these days. Therefore, he lowered his head and kissed her lips, "The maid has gone back. And only we are at
home."
Even Carlie had been shooed away by him.
Hilla blushed. And then she gently put her hands on his back and followed him. Hilla had been separated from Bruce these days and missed him very much. It should be a good day.
Bruce was even more affectionate, but Hilla suddenly frowned. She caught his arm and cried out in pain, "Bruce, I got bellyache!"
She seemed to be bleeding!
