Mr. Tycoon's Beloved Wife: The Madam No One Dares to Offend
Chapter 36: Have a Grandson
CHAPTER 36: HAVE A GRANDSON
Bruce’s low voice slowly spread throughout the room, mixing with the fragrance of the essential oil in the room. It penetrated through the gaps and corners of the room and also entered the ears of the two people beside the bed.
Hilla seemed to have regained her strength in an instant. When she raised her head to look at Bruce on the bed, her eyes instantly reddened.
"You’re awake!"
Hilla said in a hoarse and injured voice. If she weren’t forcing herself to hold it in, tears would have already gushed out of her red eyes.
Rudi was stunned. He couldn’t move at all as he knelt on the ground. After a long while, he called out in a daze, "Bruce!"
Hilla didn’t know if she used the last of her strength to move away from Rudi.
The person on the bed calmly lifted the quilt, and under the disbelieving and shocked eyes of the two people, he also got off the bed and took a fruit knife on the table.
"You want to insult my wife. How can I repay you?"
Bruce’s voice wasn’t loud. But his words immediately scared Rudi into falling to the ground.
Bruce slowly approached Rudi, looked down on him from above like a king.
Bruce was dressed in simple pajamas. Because he had been bedridden for a long time, he was pale and thin. However, when he approached, Rudi still felt an oppressive chill.
His single look was enough to make Rudi tremble in fear.
"Bruce... Believe me, I didn’t... I didn’t want to do anything to her. Yes, it was this woman who seduced me. She wanted to take advantage of the time when you were in a coma to steal our family’s property. Yes, it was this woman’s fault. I know that you don’t like her. She is the second young miss of the Holt family. The Holt family was defeated, so she wanted to gain benefits from us."
Rudi had never been so smart before. At this moment, a sudden flash of insight came to him, and he began to throw mud on Hilla.
Hilla was livid. She didn’t expect this sneaky man to be so bastard. He was caught but still wanted to shift the blame to her.
She was so angry that if she didn’t hit him, she would never be able to vent her anger in this life.
"Rudi, you are shameless!"
Although Hilla was powerless, her mind was very clear. She had never seen such a disgusting person.
The corners of Bruce’s mouth curled into a cold smile. His deep black eyes were cold.
The fruit knife in his hand was shining brightly in front of Rudi’s eyes as it slapped against his palm.
Rudi’s flushed face had long since turned pale and bloodless.
"Bruce, no! We’re family. It was not my fault. I didn’t do anything. It was this woman. It was all because she was unfaithful and disliked that you were in a vegetative state."
Hilla narrowed her eyes and listened to Rudi talk nonsense in front of her. She was angry, but she knew that Bruce would never believe this.
Sure enough, Bruce stood by the bed, looking down at Rudi. His expression was indifferent, and the smile at the corner of his mouth looked dangerous.
He loosened his grip on the fruit knife. The blade cut open the tie on Hilla’s hand, and the tip of the knife plunged into the floor.
This dull sound seemed to have hit Rudi. All the hair on his body stood up. He climbed up from the ground and crawled towards the door.
"Who let you go through the door?"
Bruce’s voice spread from the room. The person who walked to the door staggered and fell to the ground. He did not dare to take another step forward.
"This kind of person should be killed."
Hilla’s hands and feet were freed, but she was still weak, and her skirt was torn into pieces. She could only grab the quilt on the bed and cover herself.
At the thought of Rudi’s appearance just now and what he had said in front of her, Hilla felt that this person should be punished even more, or else it couldn’t calm her anger.
"I called you for so long, why did you wake up so late?"
Although she was angry at Rudi, Hilla still held a grudge against Bruce for not helping her. She would not forgive him easily.
Bruce didn’t know what to say. He glanced at Rudi on the ground and said, "If I was not betrayed, I might be able to sleep more peacefully."
Sure enough, the figure on the ground shrank. Rudi had already climbed up from the ground and said nervously, "Bruce, I got drunk. Don’t take it to heart. Since we are family, just let go of me! If Grandpa knows it, he will also be angry."
The smile on Bruce’s lips deepened. Under Rudi’s terrified gaze, he said evilly, "Alright, I’ll let you go. But you should know I hate people who touch my things."
"I will never touch your woman in the future. I won’t touch anything or anyone that belongs to you. I promise."
Rudi rolled up from the ground. Just as he walked to the door, he thought of something and smiled fawningly, "I won’t go through the door."
Anyway, he didn’t go through the door when he came, and now he was just returning by the same road.
Seeing Rudi run towards the balcony, Hilla’s eyes turned red with unwillingness. Just as she was about to blame Bruce, she saw a flash of silver light in front of her. The hair beside her ear was moved, followed by Rudi’s miserable scream.
A shiny fruit knife was inserted into Rudi’s thigh. Rudi lost his balance and fell off the balcony.
Hilla watched as Rudi fell down and frowned, "Will he die from the fall?"
Bruce pulled her from the ground to the bed and said indifferently, "It was just the second floor!"
It seemed that Rudi would not die. What a pity!
Hilla sighed in her heart. Bruce did not look like the one she was familiar with. The cold aura he exuded was both dangerous and restrained. Hilla couldn’t help but stare at him. Was this still the same gentleman that she was familiar with?
The sound of messy footsteps came from outside the door, and then quite a few people were coming.
Before Hilla could react, she had already been pulled into Bruce’s arms. They rolled onto the bed and wrapped themselves in a blanket. Bruce tore off her dress and threw it on the ground. He then flipped over and towered over her.
His movements were smooth without any hesitation. When he lowered his head and kissed Hilla on the lips, the door of the room opened!
...
Hilla originally wanted to struggle, but she was stopped by Bruce’s large hand pressing on her shoulder.
Feeling the touch on the lips, Hilla blushed and looked at the man on the top of her head in a daze. Her heart, hidden under the quilt, beat faster uncontrollably.
Bruce stood up and turned to look at the door, causing the few people standing outside to suck in a breath of cold air.
"Bruce, you’re awake."
Orlenna was the first to react. When she saw Bruce, her eyes immediately turned red, and she wanted to rush over.
Fortunately, Margaret, who was beside her, grabbed her. Otherwise, she would really be an insensible mother-in-law.
Hilla poked her little face out from under the quilt, pursed her lips, grabbed the quilt, and whispered, "Mom, Margaret, why are you back so soon?"
After saying that, she shyly pulled herself into Bruce’s embrace. Looking at the torn skirt on the ground and Hilla’s shy and timid little face, there was no need to say what the couple was doing.
Outside the door, Horton had a smile on his face. His eyes swept around the room and landed on the glass door that opened on the balcony. He seemed to have seen through everything.
"Aunt, Bruce has just woken up. It is not convenient for him to see so many people. Let Hilla take care of him and let him have a good rest."
Carrying a hint of slyness, Hilla had already buried herself in the quilt in embarrassment.
She was wearing nothing under the blanket. With so many people suddenly rushing in, other than hiding in Bruce’s arms, what could she do?
Fortunately, Bruce was very well- behaved in the quilt. He placed his palm on her shoulder and did not do anything excessive.
Orlenna came back to her senses and immediately understood something. She quickly let people out, but the smile on her face had already leaked out from the corner of her mouth.
"Bruce needs to have a good rest now. We shouldn’t disturb him. Let Hilla take care of him."
Her son had woken up. It was a surprise. It seemed that she would soon have a grandson.
Orlenna was trembling. She pulled Margaret, who was beside her, and said uncertainly, "Am I dreaming? Is Bruce really awake?"
If it wasn’t for the scene in the room, she really wanted to rush back into the room and see her son properly.
Bruce had really woken up. Her son had finally woken up. All the suffering and grievances she had suffered over the past half a year were worth it. Her life had begun to have expectations again.
Margaret nodded gloomily. "Brother is awake. Mom, you don’t have to worry. You can go and see him tomorrow."
She was naturally very happy that her brother had woken up, but today, she had brought Orlenna and the others over to their room. Wouldn’t she be punished later?
She was not afraid of Hilla at all. However, she was afraid of her brother. Although she knew that Bruce might not like Hilla, Bruce had always been domineering since he was a child. His things were absolutely not allowed to be touched, not to mention that his wife.
The more Margaret thought about it, the more she felt that something was wrong. If her brother didn’t like Hilla, what were they doing just now?
It was over. Would Bruce implicate her in a fit of anger?
"It was so great that your brother was able to wake up."
After Orlenna finished speaking excitedly, she turned to look at Horton who was following behind them, and said, "Horton, thank you and Bruce may need your help!"
At this time, Horton had already recovered his serious appearance and looked a bit like a doctor with a noble heart. He also replied very seriously to Orlenna’s words, "Bruce just woke up and his body is still very weak. He needs to recuperate for a while to recover."
As soon as he said ’weak’, he gave Orlenna a reminder and immediately said nervously, "Then they... did that affect them?"
After the incident with Bruce, Orlenna had always regretted that she did not force him to marry early, and did not have a child.
If Bruce really couldn’t be saved this time, what could she do?
How she could face the Andersons and the master?
Now that Bruce had woken up, she could think about the matter of having a grandson as soon as possible. After all, he had married. Having a grandson was indeed something she could not delay.
When Horton heard what Orlenna was worried about, he quickly said, "Auntie, don’t worry. Bruce is very healthy. He won’t be affected."
Orlenna nodded, but she was still worried and urged, "After you examine Bruce tomorrow, give Hilla a checkup as well. Hilla is still young, and just now... I’m afraid his body isn’t used to it. Why not give them some nourishing medicine for a few days?"
No matter how secretive Orlenna’s words were, Horton and Margaret could
understand them.
They were all adults, so there was no need to hide anything.
"Mom, my brother just woke up and his body is so weak. Why are you still thinking about this?"
Margaret was not married yet. When she heard that her mother was in a hurry to have a grandson, she blushed with embarrassment.
Horton, on the other hand, said with a ’knowledgeable’ attitude, "Bruce has just woken up. I’m afraid his body is not suitable for nourishing. It needs to be taken slowly."
This arrangement was the best for Orlenna, and she looked at Horton more like she was looking at her own son. "I’ll leave Bruce and Hilla to you. I’m not in a hurry. I just hope that Hilla can get pregnant in two to three months."
Two to three months? Not in a hurry?
What?
The smile on Horton’s lips was frozen. He looked at Orlenna and said, "It depends on their fate."
He now began to sympathize with Bruce. Before the car accident, he lived like a working machine. It was not easy for him to lie in bed for a few months to rest, and when he woke up, he became a birth machine.
Orlenna frowned. "Is there no fate between him and Hilla? Hilla is willing to marry him. I think this is fate."
Anyway, she was in a hurry to have a grandson, and she wouldn’t listen to anyone.
Margaret bit her lips and said, "Doesn’t my brother have a fiance? What if Riya finds out that my brother is awake and changes her mind?"
Orlenna turned her head and glared at Margaret fiercely. She whispered, "Go to your grandfather and tell him that your brother is awake."
Riya? Her current daughter- in-law was Hilla. It was none of her business whether she could return or not. Her son had to have a child with Hilla within three months. Whoever wanted to interfere, she would not let her go!
