Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return
Chapter 460 Terrifying Changes
CHAPTER 460: 460 TERRIFYING CHANGES
In the sky, the stars reappeared, falling down, but the teleportation gate showed no signs of change.
"Should we try again?" Duan Tianya’s heart sank further as he spoke to a disciple.
The disciple quickly approached the gate, but as soon as he neared the front of the teleportation gate, he was forcefully repelled back.
Other disciples also wanted to try, but Duan Tianya stopped them.
"Let me do it." Duan Tianya, with a somber face, personally walked towards the teleportation gate.
Standing before the gate, he saw a series of light patterns flickering like tumultuous waves. Though Duan Tianya was not sent flying like the disciple, he couldn’t advance at all.
Seeing this, all the disciples were visibly shocked and dismayed.
"Immediately notify the academy to ask for assistance. I will go to Longyan Mountain myself." Duan Tianya’s heart had sunk to the abyss, unable to hide his inner anxiety any longer, he ordered the younger disciples.
Mu Hanyan’s guess was correct; although the teleportation gate to the Exotic Beast Valley was set up in Cangshan City, the valley itself lay deep within Longyan Mountain, its location unknown to outsiders due to a magical barrier.
Now that the gate was malfunctioning, and since Duan Tianya himself was not skilled in the Alchemy Technique and couldn’t afford to wait for the academy’s assistance, he had no choice but to head deep into Longyan Mountain first to search for another way to enter Exotic Beast Valley.
"Yes, Master, please take great care," a group of young disciples bowed and responded.
Duan Tianya soared into the air, stepping lightly on ripples, flying towards the depths of Dragon Cliff Mountain.
Dawn broke, and Mu Hanyan was awakened by a roar of beasts.
The roars, one after another, shook the heavens and earth like successive tidal waves.
Mu Hanyan, on high alert, grabbed his longsword and leaped out of his tent to find Mu Cheng and Wu Qiuyun both pale-faced, gripping their sword hilts tightly.
"What’s happened, why is it like this?" Wu Qiuyun’s eyes were swimming with confusion as he murmured to himself.
Mu Hanyan glanced at Wu Qiuyun, certain that he knew something, but he had yet to disclose anything to them.
Another roar sounded nearby; in the distance, below a mountain cliff, two figures ran out of the valley in a panic.
"Hurry up, don’t stop, just bear with it a little longer," one said, encouraging the young man running ahead.
The youth was clearly injured, leaving a trail of blood as he moved, sobbing as he ran, "Didn’t they say that just crushing the Beast Exorcism Talisman would be enough, why didn’t it work at all?"
"Damn if I know, just run, or we’re dead," the elder, slightly older, grabbed his arm and pulled him forward.
But the injured man’s condition was serious; his assistance only caused them to stagger more, slowing their pace even further.
"Big brother, I can’t go on, forget about me, just run," the young man wrenched his arm away, pushing the other forcefully forward, then turned, drawing his longsword with a resolute expression to face what was coming.
"Little brother!" The older one cried out in sorrow.
"Big brother, run! I can’t move anymore; big brother is already gone, the Yang Family is counting on you now," the younger one said firmly, shouting loudly to jolt his brother into action as he saw him standing there in heart-wrenching grief, "Big brother, if you don’t go now, I’ll die right before your eyes, and it will be on you."
Tears streaming down his face, the older sibling saw his brother standing sword in hand, determined. Without a word, he stamped his foot and, with clenched teeth, ran off.
The roar came again; an Exotic Beast with thick limbs and covered in black Armor Spurs, mouth wide and ferocious like a small hill, bore down on them, its gleaming fangs still dripping with shreds of flesh, appearing even more savage.
