Mute Mate: The Alpha's Obsession
Chapter 186: Unexpected Confession
CHAPTER 186: UNEXPECTED CONFESSION
Stephanie’s eyes flew wide as she stared at him in surprise, her hips were up as he moved the other hand to her waist, and he gently moved it back down, his finger still inside her.
His sinful gaze lazily moved to her as he stared at her wide eyes.
"Sugar, is there a problem?" he asked softly, his gaze fixed on her hungrily. She could not believe this man at all—was he serious right now?
Her heart thudded in her chest as she spoke, her voice low, her face burned deeply because his eyes now rested on his fingers which were inside her. She moved to cover his hands, but his other hand held her hands in place.
"Why were you adding another finger? Are you planning to kill me?" Immediately those words left her lips, Zekel’s laughter broke out as his lazy gaze rested on her, making her feel even more embarrassed.
She glared at him, but no words left her lips—she did not know what to say at all.
"Oh sugar, you don’t have to worry. In fact, you seem to be enjoying this far more than I expected..." his voice trailed off as she interrupted, even though her heart was still racing, his hands still remained inside her, unmoving as if teasing her to beg.
"Who said I am enjoying this?" she asked as she tried to get some semblance of control to herself. Her toe curled slightly, her hand had not even moved yet, but just doing this made her body tingle.
"Oh really?" Zekel drawled slowly as his eyes closed before he opened them to stare at her, and her heart sparked.
"Ye...ahhkkk," she moaned as his finger curled inside her. Her back arched up as her ears burned in embarrassment.
"I see," he muttered sarcastically as his hands began to move fast. Stephanie’s body shivered at the intensity as screams and loud moans wrapped through the room.
Zekel’s hands moved to her laps as his smoldering gaze rested on her sharply. His hands squeezed lightly on her soft skin as he spread her legs wider. Stephanie’s heart trembled as she immediately used her hands to cover herself as shyness seeped in.
Zekel smiled as he moved her hands away. Still holding her hands, he lowered himself.
His gaze still locked on hers as he moved, he stuck out his tongue ever so slowly as he began to lick her fingers in slow motions. Stephanie’s body shivered lightly at the intensity of his gaze.
"Ahh, you bad man," she spoke as she moaned together with her words.
"Hm, bad? I have not even showed you my bad side yet and you’re calling me bad," he spoke as he spread her legs wider and slipped in another finger. A soft moan escaped her lips as her eyes rolled backwards in surprise.
"Now let’s go straight to the point," he whispered as he pulled away. He moved his hands to her tongue as he licked it slowly. Stephanie’s insides tightened and flipped as their eyes locked. Her lips parted in shock as she stared at him breathlessly, him doing that making her inner thighs squeeze in pleasure.

Ariana sat at the window side of the room. Little Vrenin was fast asleep as Leah was gently clearing the meal plates that Vreni had eaten from the table. Ariana was not sad, neither was she feeling any emotions at this point. Her face was just calm, giving nothing away.
Leah knew how tragic this news was and really didn’t blame the queen for being this silent. She took in a soft breath as she did not even know what to say to at least lighten the mood of the queen. At the same time she wanted to say something, but she did not want to say what would make the queen even more dim than she already was.
She finally moved carefully not to distract the queen, but as she was carrying the tray her hands mistakenly hit the jug. It rolled and she quickly dropped the tray to grab it, but she had been two seconds late as the jug fell to the floor and shattered.
Her face paled immediately as she quickly moved to pick it up, but she halted when Ariana’s soft laughter broke out.
She raised her head up as Ariana was laughing. She finally realized how she looked—after that loud crash she had tried to pick up the things slowly, and from the way she had kept her face expression frozen while she picked it up as if if her face expression changed another thing might happen—that was what made Ariana laugh.
Leah laughed back softly as they both laughed. She moved as she gently began picking up the glasses and placed them on the rolling cart. She was glad that even though it was not the best way, she had finally made the queen not just smile but laugh as well. Just as she finished she bowed to Ariana as she moved the rolling cart to the door and left. Ariana moved to gently close the window as the cold wind was getting harsh.
She closed it and then moved to the bed and lay down. The laughter had helped a bit—maybe it was better if she just slept, as that would do.

Raven had decided to work more after the chicken incident but he realized he could not take it anymore as the stress was already slapping him. He closed the door to the room where he worked as he moved down the stairs to where his room was. He finally reached it as he walked down the hallway. Tomorrow was the day where the villagers would be leaving, so he would also need to check.
He sighed—at least now his work was small and would not take long again to finish. That was great news at least.
He moved until he finally halted just when he reached the door. He turned the knob and just as he expected, it was locked. A smile moved on his lips as he was proud she had done exactly what he had said, and this made him more proud than ever.
He moved to his pocket as he pulled out a spare key in hand, as he had kept an extra in his pocket.
He opened the door as he entered, and just as he did, her warm scent wrapped around him like a blanket. And there she laid—one leg at the other side, another at each side. Raven’s ears burned as he realized she was not wearing...
Fuck.
Her nightgown had ridden up so high. He moved to where she lay and just as he moved she turned, and now her cute buttons faced him. He gently brought her nightgown down as he covered her gently before moving the blanket to cover her body from the cold.
He walked as he removed his shirt, opened the wardrobe, removed a top and simple night pants to wear. He walked as he decided to have a bath to sleep better. He turned on the shower as his mind drifted to her—the sight that had welcomed him when he entered.
He gritted his teeth as he shut his eyes tight not to think of it.
He groaned sharply, brushing his hair backwards. The cold water fell down his hair, rolling to his neck, down to his back and chest. Just after some time, he finally calmed down.
After cleaning himself, he slipped into the cloth before stepping out. Feeling more fresh and relieved, he walked towards the bed and laid down beside her. He didn’t cuddle her or touch her as he tried his very best not to do anything that would betray him.
But just as he closed his eyes, he felt her legs drape all over his stomach. His body stiffened as he did not expect that at all. He just stared at her sleeping face with wide eyes—this was one thing he had not expected. She moved her hands as she leaned on him, still asleep. He felt her sniff softly on him while she hummed before stirring slightly. She then cuddled him as she rested her head on his chest, still asleep.
Raven cleared his throat as he then moved, knowing if he cuddled her there was a high chance of sleeping better.
He turned as he moved and pulled her gently to him.
As he closed his eyes, a soft smile rested on her lips. He could not even imagine her expression once she met him tomorrow. He was sure she must have thought he was still at the battlefield, and yet he would surprise her that he was no longer there. He could not wait—thank heavens that the war was over, even though his heart now squeezed, realizing that the king was not...
He refused to finish the sentence in his head as he did not want to believe it. He knew the king was still fighting, and the love he had for his wife would not let him go like that.
His thought was interrupted by her soft hum in her sleep. He lightly chuckled as she then spoke in her sleep, so slowly yet low—but he caught it.
"I love you so much, R... Raven."
His entire frame stopped its movement.
