Unable to bear the suspense, one of the female secretaries urged, "Quick, tell us. What did you find?"

The assistant handed the file to Ruan Hanlin and motioned for the others to come closer before whispering, "I found this by accident while checking Director Bai’s bank transactions a few days ago."

Ruan Hanlin’s eyes flickered at the assistant’s words. He then opened the file and checked the transaction records carefully.

A few moments later, he paused, pointed at a single transaction, and said, "This transaction is very suspicious."

The assistant nodded and handed over another file to Ruan Hanlin. "This is the investigation report for that transaction."

After reading through it, Ruan Hanlin and the others were shocked.

Looking at the assistant, Ruan Hanlin asked in disbelief, "Are you sure this information is accurate?"

The assistant nodded like a chicken pecking on rice and quickly replied, "Brother Hanlin, I wouldn’t dare show it to you if I wasn’t sure. It’s just... it was too unbelievable, so I didn’t dare keep it to myself."

Seeing Ruan Hanlin’s face turn cold, another assistant asked, "Should we report this to the police? This is clearly an attempt of murder."

Ruan Hanlin pondered for a moment, then shook his head.

"This evidence isn’t enough. Besides, the underworld isn’t something we can handle. Moreover, Bu Gui Pavilion already rejected Director Bai’s request, so Miss Hanyun should be safe for now."

Reaching toward the bedside table to grab her phone, Bai Hanyun rubbed her eyes before opening WeChat to check the messages.

Seeing that they were from Sweet Bun Bun’s delivery team and the Mu Family Construction Material Store’s delivery team, her sleepiness vanished at once.

Pulling off her blanket, Bai Hanyun got out of bed and hurried to wash up. Before long, she had already slung on her backpack, grabbed her car keys, and headed downstairs, going straight to the backyard.

As usual, she used the large tree by the riverside to avoid the surveillance cameras installed in the backyard before pulling the antique mirror out of the river.

As soon as he stepped out of his capsule house, Bai Hanyun waved at him and called out, "Brother Hua, hurry up! The delivery has almost arrived in the warehouse!"

Seeing how urgent she looked, Hua Yuyu didn’t say anything and got into the passenger seat. Just as he closed the door, Bai Hanyun stepped on the accelerator and sped out of the front yard.

Although curious about why she was in such a hurry, Hua Yuyu didn’t ask.

Ten minutes later, when they arrived at the warehouse, Hua Yuyu stopped Bai Hanyun before she got out of the car and handed her the bread and soymilk.

Seeing this, Bai Hanyun grinned. "Thank you, Brother Hua."

Stuffing the bread and soymilk into her backpack, Bai Hanyun hurried out of the car.

Watching her run to open the warehouse doors, Hua Yuyu suddenly felt like he was really working as a nanny and assistant instead of a personal bodyguard. Shaking his head, he sighed and pulled out his phone to watch the costume drama recommended by Bai Hanyun a few days ago.

While Hua Yuyu waited in the car, Bai Hanyun notified the delivery teams that she had arrived at the warehouse. After sending the message, she waited outside the parking lot.

Soon, a long line of container trucks approached from a distance.

Seeing more than fifty trucks arriving at once, Bai Hanyun waved at the drivers and stopped them outside the warehouse parking lot.

Stopped by her, the delivery team leaders got out of their trucks and walked up to her.

The team leader from Sweet Bun Bun Store smiled at her and politely asked, "Miss Bai, why are you stopping us outside?"

Bai Hanyun smiled apologetically at both team leaders and explained, "The parking lot isn’t large enough to accommodate everyone at once. Can you two take turns?"
