CHAPTER 171: CEMENT, SAND, AGGREGATES

With practiced movement, Feng Wu caught the lunchbox before it hit the ground. Smelling the delicious aroma, his lips curved into a smile behind his mask.

Kneeling again, he said sincerely, "Thank you, Fairy Bai."

"It’s nothing. Quick, get up." Bai Hanyun urged.

"Yes, Fairy Bai."

After Feng Wu stood up, Bai Hanyun said, "Feng Wu, I need to send over a batch of supplies. Can you bring the mirror to an empty warehouse?"

Feng Wu thought for a moment and replied, "Fairy Bai, Master is not here, so this subordinate can’t make that decision. However, General Tan is in charge of the supplies for the Feng Army. How about I bring you to him?"

Bai Hanyun considered the suggestion and agreed. "Alright."

Getting her answer, Feng Wu packed the bronze mirror into a wooden box. He then carried the wooden box and the lunchbox and left to find Tan Pengtai.

Fifteen minutes later, Feng Wu found Tan Pengtai in the warehouse area of the Feng Army.

Sensing a cold aura approaching, Tan Pengtai’s instincts kicked in.

Just as he was about to draw his sword, Feng Wu appeared in front of him. "General Tan."

Noticing Feng Wu’s mask and uniform, Tan Pengtai paused and released his grip on the sword hilt. Then, his eyes dropped to the black token hanging at Feng Wu’s waist.

After confirming Feng Wu’s identity, Tan Pengtai said, "Captain Feng Wu, what brings you here? Do you need something from this general?"

Feng Wu nodded and explained, "General Tan, Fairy Bai said she wants to send a batch of supplies today. Could you arrange a warehouse to store them?"

Tan Pengtai’s eyes lit up at his words. He smiled and said, "Of course. The Great General informed me about this yesterday. Please, come with me."

"General Tan, please lead the way," Feng Wu replied, and then disappeared again.

Knowing the rules of the shadow guards, Tan Pengtai didn’t say anything and walked toward the smithy area. Along the way, workers and soldiers greeted him respectfully as he passed by.

Once Tan Pengtai arrived at the designated warehouse, Feng Wu reappeared beside him. The two then entered the empty building.

Inside, Feng Wu opened the wooden box and took out the bronze mirror. Holding it up, he said, "Fairy Bai, we are in the warehouse now."

"All right. Feng Wu, get ready. I’m about to send the supplies over." Bai Hanyun responded.

"Yes, Fairy Bai."

Feng Wu handed the wooden box to Tan Pengtai and said, "General Tan, please step back. It might be a bit dangerous if you stay too close."

Having witnessed how Bai Hanyun sent supplies to them before, Tan Pengtai nodded and stepped outside.

Left alone, Feng Wu held the bronze mirror high and said, "Fairy Bai, this subordinate is ready."

"Got it."

Bai Hanyun, on her side, said to the mirror, "It’s your turn. Help me send the supplies over."

The antique mirror glowed once in response.

A second later, golden light shrouded the supplies inside her warehouse. Two seconds later, both the light and the supplies vanished.

In the next instant, the supplies reappeared inside the warehouse on Feng Wu’s side. As there were more supplies than the space could hold, some appeared outside the warehouse.

Tan Pengtai, who had been standing outside, was stunned. Ignoring the shocked soldiers nearby, he rushed into the warehouse.

"Captain Feng Wu, are you all right?!" he asked urgently.

Standing atop the high-carbon steel flat bars, Feng Wu calmly replied, "General Tan, I’m fine."

Looking up, Tan Pengtai saw Feng Wu jump down and land lightly in front of him.

Just as he stood straight, Bai Hanyun’s voice echoed from the mirror. "Feng Wu, I will be sending a batch of vegetables later. Prepare the warehouse."

She paused for a second, then added, "Also, there is cement, sand, and aggregates for construction and repairs. I will send instructions on how to use them later. Make sure to tell Feng Xiyan about this."

Feng Wu nodded and responded, "Yes, Fairy Bai."

Glancing at the time shown on her phone’s screen, Bai Hanyun said, "All right, I will contact you again when the vegetables arrive."

With that, she tapped the mirror’s frame twice, ending the connection.

As the dim golden glow faded from the bronze mirror, Feng Wu calmly returned it to the wooden box. He then turned to Tan Pengtai and said, "General Tan, you heard Fairy Bai. Please prepare the warehouse to store the vegetables."

Tan Pengtai smiled. "Don’t worry. I will handle the warehouse arrangements."

He looked at the stacked materials filling the warehouse and added, "A big one."

Meanwhile, Bai Hanyun opened the warehouse door and stepped out. Carrying a folding chair, she walked up to Wang Kaimu and Wang Kaiye.

Placing the chair next to Wang Kaimu, she took out her phone and said, "I’m a little hungry and thinking of ordering some snacks. Do you two want anything?"

Wang Kaimu shook his head. "No need. Thank you for the offer, Miss Bai."

Bai Hanyun nodded, then turned to Wang Kaiye and asked, "What about you?"

After a brief pause, Wang Kaiye nodded. "I want some."

Hearing this, Bai Hanyun smiled and ordered some snacks from a nearby restaurant for the two of them.

Before long, the deliveryman arrived. "Who is Miss Bai Hanyun?"

Bai Hanyun raised her hand and replied, "It’s me."

The deliveryman walked up to her, then handed over the bags of fried chicken and cola. "Please give me a five-star rating. Enjoy your meal."

"Alright."

After he left, Bai Hanyun left the review and added a 100-yuan tip. Taking out her portion, she handed the rest to Wang Kaiye.

"Here is yours."

"Thank you." Wang Kaiye took the food, took a sip of the drink, and then took a bite of fried chicken.

As they enjoyed their food, Bai Hanyun’s phone buzzed. It was a message from Tan Hao.

[Miss Bai, we will arrive in a few minutes. Can you receive the goods now?]
