Looking into Bai Hanyun’s calm eyes, Jiang Yinqi fell silent for a moment before saying, "If that is what you want, then I will support you."

Bai Hanyun smiled at him and sincerely said, "Thank you."

Seeing that their discussion had ended, Ruan Hanlin stood up and said, "Eldest Young Lady, I will go arrange your lunch. Do you want it delivered here, or would you prefer to eat at the restaurant?"

Bai Hanyun replied, "Bai Yansheng must not know that I am attending the banquet tonight. Assistant Ruan, please send it here."

"Alright."

After Ruan Hanlin left, Jiang Yinqi also stood up. "Hanyun, I will come back later for the banquet. I need to return to my office to prepare the documents."

Bai Hanyun nodded and responded, "Got it."

Now that everyone had left, Bai Hanyun exited the study. Seeing Hua Yuyu and the others checking their weapons in the living area, she said, "Brother Hua, if the staff brings the food, you guys can eat first."

Hua Yuyu nodded. "Alright."

With that, Bai Hanyun returned to her room and took a quick shower to wash away the dust and sweat before joining Hua Yuyu and the others for lunch.

After lunch, Bai Hanyun went to take a nap. By the time she woke up, the western sky had already changed color.

Looking at the clock displayed on her phone’s screen, Bai Hanyun yawned and got out of bed. Walking into the bathroom, she washed her face and fixed her hair. When she came out, her clothes and hair were neat.

Grabbing her small green pouch from the bedside table, Bai Hanyun put her phone into it, then left the bedroom.

When she stepped out, Hua Yuyu and the others were already waiting for her.

Standing up from the couch, Hua Yuyu said, "Miss Bai, the banquet will begin in fifteen minutes. Do you want to go down now?"

Bai Hanyun sat on the couch across from him and replied, "No rush. We will go down just in time before Bai Yansheng makes the announcement."

When she said this, Bao Shengjie raised his hand and excitedly said, "I know! The protagonist should always arrive last to steal the spotlight!"

Bai Hanyun winked at him and chuckled, "That’s right. Their shocked faces should be very interesting to see."

Looking at the two of them sharing the same mischievous expression, Hua Yuyu sighed inwardly and thought, ’I forgot that besides playing games, Shengjie loves causing trouble the most.’

While they waited for the right time to join the banquet, most of the guests had already arrived in the ballroom.

Surrounded by a group of young ladies from the wealthy circle, Bai Li smiled proudly. Taking a sip of expensive champagne, she listened to their praises.

One of them smiled slightly at Bai Li and said, "Li Li, besides CEO Gui and CEO Yu, you are the most successful among the younger generation in our circle. Your grandfather must have loved you so much to make you the new chairman instead of your father."

Bai Li put on a sad smile and said, "If my grandfather were still here, I would be even happier."

Hearing this, the young ladies exchanged knowing glances and just smiled at Bai Li’s blatant lie.

Although they spent most of their time shopping and partying, these young ladies had been raised by their families to marry the most successful men in the future. Unlike the clueless Bai Li, they were well-informed about matters behind the scenes.

For example, the person Old Chairman Bai truly loved was not Bai Li, but the newly discovered Second Young Lady of the Bai family—Bai Hanyun.

While the young ladies were sneering inwardly at Bai Li’s lies, gasps suddenly echoed across the spacious ballroom.

"Isn’t that the rarely seen CEO Gui? Why is he here?" asked one of the guests.

Hearing this, Bai Li turned toward the ballroom’s entrance and saw Gui Xiaoxu walking in, followed by his exclusive assistant, Ke Ting.

As soon as her eyes landed on Gui Xiaoxu, Bai Li couldn’t look away as she stared at him with an infatuated gaze.

Walking beside Gui Xiaoxu, Ke Ting scanned the ballroom and whispered, "Boss, Miss Bai Hanyun isn’t here."

Gui Xiaoxu’s sword-like brows furrowed slightly upon hearing this.

Before he could respond, someone suddenly shouted, "Look! Isn’t that Yu Xiangyu, the CEO of the Yu Group?"

"Oh my God! It’s really CEO Yu!" responded another surprised guest.

As Yu Xiangyu scanned the faces in the ballroom, the guests began to murmur amongst themselves.

"Heavens, why are these two big shots here? What is the relationship between the Bai family, the Gui family, and the Yu family?"

Hearing this, another guest speculated in a low voice, "Could the rumors be true?"

"What rumors?" asked a curious guest.

The guest motioned toward Bai Li with his chin and replied, "Rumor has it that the Eldest Young Lady of the Bai family is searching for a suitable husband. Seeing that both CEO Gui and CEO Yu are attending tonight’s banquet, maybe they are interested in her?"

When the others heard this, they all turned to look at Bai Li with interest and calculating eyes.

While Bai Li’s ego inflated with pride as she listened to the hushed conversation around her, Yu Xiangyu and Gui Xiaoxu noticed each other.

After a brief stare, the two men began walking toward each other. Standing face to face, Yu Xiangyu and Gui Xiaoxu silently observed each other from head to toe.

Although the two of them had become the number one and number two richest men worldwide, their businesses had nothing to do with each other. Therefore, this was the first time they had met face-to-face.

After a long observation, they both reached out at the same time and shook hands.

"CEO Gui, it’s a surprise to see you here," Yu Xiangyu said.

Gui Xiaoxu calmly responded, "It’s not a surprise. I have met Miss Bai before, so we can be considered acquaintances."

When his words echoed through the quiet ballroom, the other guests gasped in surprise.
