Even if the scenes are shot as per the script, I can edit her down to the second female lead later. And what can you do about it?"

Qin Miaomiao’s eyes darkened with coldness. Clearly, he had decided to tear up the agreement and wasn’t treating their prior deal seriously at all.

"Fine. If that’s the case, then let’s terminate the agreement."

The director looked at her as if she were an idiot: "Miss Qin, we signed a contract. If you terminate it now, you’ll face a hefty penalty fee."

Qin Miaomiao gave him a sideways glance, her eyes carrying an even sharper chill:

"Are you threatening me?"

"I’m merely reminding you that right now, the power is not in your hands. Xu Jiaojiao can only obediently shoot the scenes as I dictate. No termination of the contract. Whatever screen time I give her, that’s what she gets. There’s no negotiating!"

"So, you’re saying there’s no discussion to be had?"

"Exactly. President Qin is a sharp individual, so I’ll be straightforward—someone powerful is targeting Xu Jiaojiao. The forces behind them are quite significant. She’s just an actress, so President Qin might as well cut her losses and protect herself."
