CHAPTER 554: CHAPTER 474: RETURN HOME FOR PROPER TRAINING
Qin Miaomiao clutched the necklace tightly. It was something Lu Qing had casually tossed to her before getting in the car, as if this item worth tens of millions was completely insignificant.
"This is too much! You’re practically assaulting me with jewelry. Do you believe I could hit you back with money?"
Lu Qing curled the corners of his lips:
"Well, you’d need an entire room full of cash to afford me. I’m that expensive."
Qin Miaomiao: .....
"Honey, you’re getting thicker-skinned by the day. Your persona is completely shattered. Weren’t you supposed to be the proud, domineering CEO? Look at yourself now! Be careful—you might lose your fan base."
Lu Qing lowered his head to look at her, gradually leaning closer. His faint scent enveloped her as he approached, sending shivers across her skin. Her heart raced wildly inside her chest.
Even her breathing grew shallow. Despite being so familiar with him, she still felt an uncontrollable flutter from his closeness. As expected, his face was the kind that could drive every woman mad.
"What did you say? Say it again."
"I.....
Qin Miaomiao opened her mouth to say something, but before she could, Lu Qing leaned down and kissed her cheek. She instinctively covered her face:
"What are you doing? I’ve got powder on my face. You just ate foundation, didn’t you?"
His deep gaze landed on her lips, lush and seductive.
"Actually, I’d rather taste your lipstick."
Before Qin Miaomiao could react, he kissed her lips directly, enveloping them completely. His whispered breath lingered against her skin, but soon enough, the car reached its destination.
After the intense kiss, Qin Miaomiao scrambled to pull out a small mirror to check herself, only to find her lipstick smudged everywhere—it looked like her mouth had turned into a blood-red gaping hole.
Lu Qing’s lips, too, were stained with red, making his otherwise handsome face appear utterly comical.
Qin Miaomiao looked at his face and burst into laughter, quickly picking up a wet tissue to wipe his lips:
"Look at you! You’ve turned into a big-lipped monkey. How ugly, how terribly ugly!"
Lu Qing’s tone, however, was filled with ambiguity as he murmured, "Let’s go home and continue playing."
Playing? Playing what? Smear lipstick and kiss again?
She pulled out her lipstick and began touching up her makeup in the small mirror.
"Wait, let me do it."
As he spoke, he reached out and took the lipstick from her hand, carefully applying it for her.
Watching his handsome profile, she smiled and said:
"Honey, you remind me of those ancient men who would paint their wives’ eyebrows for them."
"Oh?"
Her lips parted slightly as the delicate red spread across them, lush and vibrant, stirring a hint of desire.
His gaze gradually changed. Qin Miaomiao quickly warned:
"I’m warning you—don’t even think about having other ideas! The banquet is about to start; we should hurry and go inside."
"When we get home, I’ll teach you a proper lesson."
Hey, hey, hey—"lesson" sounded dangerously vivid. Knowing Lu Qing as she did, this seasoned flirt was undoubtedly suggesting something inappropriate again.
Teaching a "lesson" went deeper than mere banter—it hinted at things that could ignite embarrassing mental images, such as certain challenging actions or, perhaps, skills that were guaranteed to make one blush and their heart race.
Lu Qing got out of the car and extended a hand. Qin Miaomiao clasped it tightly, stepping out with him as they entered the hotel together.
Gleaming attire, fragrant guests, and a luxurious setting—the entire gathering was composed of the upper echelon. Members of the other three prominent families had sent juniors to attend.
The four leading families shared close ties. Qin Miaomiao held onto Lu Qing’s arm as others came over to interact.
In high society, most people knew about their relationship. Even though they hadn’t made an official announcement, it was common knowledge within their circles.
One was the heir of the Su Family, and the other was a fast-rising nouveau riche—both were highly coveted.
