Chapter 55 Abyss Dungeon IX
But suddenly, its body began to glow with an intense azure light. The humanoid form started to shift and expand, its shape twisting and reforming until it resembled a massive, bull-like creature—a towering minotaur, radiating raw power. Its azure-blue hide gleamed like polished sapphire, and its horns were larger, crackling with energy.
"Ahahaha!" the demon laughed, its voice now deeper and more guttural, echoing through the chamber. "Fools! You''ve pushed me to my true form. In this state, I have become more powerful. You''ve only ensured your doom!"
Leon, far from afraid, felt a surge of exhilaration. A grin tugged at his lips as he took a step forward, his blade glinting in the azure glow. "So, you''ve gotten rid of your magic resistance," he said, his tone calm but sharp. "Perfect. Now the real fight begins."
In this form, he can already see, In this form he has shed his magic resistance in exchange for more power.
Roselia stood at his side, her daggers glowing faintly with energy. She smirked, her eyes glinting with determination. "Finally, we can stop holding back."
Unlike most warriors who focused on physical prowess, both Leon and Roselia were adept at harnessing magic. While they could fight physically, their true strength lay in their magical abilities, and now, with the demon shedding its resistance, they could fight at full power.
Leon gripped his sword tightly, his knuckles whitening around the hilt of the Plague Bearer. The weapon hummed faintly, as if eager to taste the blood of the beast before him. Without hesitation, Leon surged forward, the tip of his blade aimed for the demon''s chest. The demon responded with a bellow and swung its massive arm in a brutal arc. Leon narrowly ducked, the force of the swing brushing past him and kicking up a gale strong enough to stagger his footing.
He didn''t falter. As the demon raised its other arm, Leon slid under its guard, driving the poisoned edge of his sword into the flesh just below its ribs. A sickening hiss followed as the Poisoned Wound ability activated, venom spreading like wildfire through the creature''s veins. The Minotaur demon roared in agony, swatting at Leon with its other hand. This time, the blow connected, sending him flying across the chamber.
Leon landed hard, the impact rattling his bones, but he forced himself up. His breathing was heavy, his movements slower. "Roselia!" he called out, his voice strained. "Now!"
Roselia didn''t need further prompting. With a flick of her wrist, she conjured flames that shimmered darkly—Void Flames that burned colder than ice yet devoured flesh as if fueled by hatred itself. The flames struck true, latching onto the Minotaur''s exposed chest and creeping upward. The demon clawed at itself, trying to extinguish the cursed fire, but the flames only grew hungrier.
Roselia raised both hands now, chanting an incantation under her breath. Ethereal chains shot from the shadows around her, wrapping tightly around the demon''s legs and arms. The creature thrashed violently, shaking the cavern with its struggle, but the Soul Shackles held firm, their dark glow draining strength from the beast and bolstering Roselia in return.
"It''s weakening," Roselia said, her voice cold but edged with effort. Sweat glistened on her brow as she poured more of her magic into holding the creature in place.
