CHAPTER 235: SEVERAL WORLDS

A few days have passed, it was strange exploring the house. I knew every room and every thing even without ever having known the house. I also tried to do Yui’s work by going to the office full of papers.

It was strange doing this. I just need to read, confirm, and then throw the paper away. Everything is stored in my mind. It’s not exactly an entertaining job, as it constantly depends on reading and checking for errors, as well as remembering the numbers for the future.

But it’s all kind of automatic. Just by seeing the paper, it seems like everything was read instantly, so I just have to look at the paper for a second and I’ve seen everything. Of course, there are certain papers from other beings that I have to sign.

Knowledge arising from nowhere is useful, but I also feel strange for knowing too much about things. However, something interesting came out of this.

’I can see what happened to them...’ I can see what happened in each world, the past and what happened after my death, and with some degree of interest I decide to go "personally" to these worlds.

"..." I just try and appear in a house. The house seems quite abandoned, covered in spider webs, and I see a bit of dried blood. It’s the house where I died for the first time, the place where Himari killed me. It seems the place was abandoned the way it was, there are even some old police tapes.

"Oh... the door she destroyed with a chainsaw..." I see the bedroom door. From what I can see, she committed suicide in this room right after killing me. Seeing the past is convenient, it’s like seeing a hologram. She cut her throat with the running blade of the chainsaw.

"..." I move on to the next world, the world of Alehandro. I appear in the office of a church that has a giant statue of my appearance in this world, it’s there outside. From what I see, Alehandro treats me as a goddess.

Not that he’s wrong, what I am now is somewhat above the goddesses in general, and I also have more rules than them... benefits and problems of being what I am now.

"He doesn’t see me as expected" I see Alehandro signing papers. He seems to be doing well, in fact very well. Not exactly happy, but he’s living a healthy and organized life using religion as support to move forward.

’This world turned out very well...’ The church he created does wonderful things for this world. He undoubtedly did well.

"You did a wonderful job" I say, looking at Alehandro who doesn’t hear me. As a gift, I make a flower start to bloom on the desk next to a small statuette of myself. It should grow in a few weeks.

"..." Soon I move on to the next world, Hiroshi my "brother". I see that the fate of my body in this world was disgusting. Even dead, he kept my body and preserved it. It’s incredibly preserved.

"No one took you..." I murmur, seeing him lying in a bed sleeping hugging my body. He took great care to reduce decomposition to a minimum and preserve it. Probably in the end he will mummify the body.

"You’re disgusting..." I tell him, even though he can’t see me. I touch the body, making sure it will decompose quickly and plants will grow from it, quickly jumping to another world.

I appear in a cold world, but I don’t feel cold at all. However, the whole world is frozen, and I see Azuli.

"...Oh...I’m sorry about that...I’m kind of responsible for that Azuli...maybe if I had spoken up earlier it would have been different" I see Azuli. She’s alive, I thought she was dead, but no, she’s still alive and walking, but seems disoriented and confused as she walks through the ice and snow.

She says confused things, talking about one thing and suddenly changing to another as if it were normal, with the very act of talking to absolute nothingness being strange.

’This world is doomed’ Nothing other than Azuli is alive. She froze any animal or plant life, not even bacteria survived, everything froze to an absurd level. Only a few microorganisms really remained alive in this cold.

If I could do something, I would, but if I try, all sorts of rules suddenly arise in my mind. I can’t do too much or I’ll cause an imbalance, so the most I do is touch the ground so plants can grow back after Azuli dies alone.

I move on to the next world, trying not to think too much about the problems I’ve caused just by existing in these worlds.

"I see you’re doing well..." I see Aiden training teenagers, teaching them fencing. I didn’t spend much time in this world, but after the horrible death that Azuli caused me, Aiden managed to cheer me up.

’He’s gone on with his life quite well...’ It’s nice to see those who were good to me doing well in life. He deserves it. I see that his life is now quite calm and pleasant, as he spends his days training new knights.

I move on to the next world, seeing Haruto, my "son", and I must say that he displeases me.

"Fucking psychopath, the expected from a father who was a killer" He kept my body, but this world is not so modern, and the blow that killed me damaged the body a bit, so keeping this rotten thing is disgusting.

"Haa..." I sigh, moving on to the next world, not wanting to waste more time with this.

I go to the world where I was a demon queen. I see that after the damage I did, this world has recovered well, and there’s even another demon queen.

"So this girl succeeded me?" I see a girl having sex with other demons. She’s also a succubus, so it was expected. As for Alyssa, she’s no longer alive. The black magic she used took its toll, and she continued to use it beyond the limit.

I go to the next world where I was a vampire, and I see that Yuki, the boy who lived with me, is now an adult.

"That’s good for you, Yuki" I say, sitting at Yuki’s table, watching him preparing his weapon. He is now a vampire hunter and has even killed the vampire queen, Elizabeth.

’Exploding me didn’t kill Elizabeth as expected.’ At least it’s nice to know that Yuki avenged me. Soon I’ll go to Yeom’s world, curious about what she’s doing.

"Hmm..."

"This...is strangely fitting for you" I say, appearing in a cave with a beautiful glowing lagoon. Yeom is meditating. She has entered some strange kind of training method, based on a new type of Qi absorption.

But I don’t like her goal. It’s not really healthy, but unfortunately I shouldn’t interfere. All I do is enter the lagoon and touch the ground to make a plant of gratitude grow.

In the next world, I see that Arthur and Lykaon died. Arthur died burned, while Lykaon was killed by his master for trying to escape. It’s not so unexpected, so I move on to the next one.

I appear in Beatriz’s world and see that she’s doing very poorly. She’s probably the one who adapted the worst to my death. She isolated herself in her room, doing her work just enough not to collapse the church.

She stopped healing the population for free and now charges exorbitant prices at random times, just to keep people away, while also being much less kind.

’What a terrible change...’ I sit on her bed, watching her crying. I see that next to the portrait of her mother, there is now a portrait of me.

"I wish I could talk..." I can’t appear, interact or do anything, I can only observe and feel a bit sad for her.

"Hmm...my time is up..." I wanted to finish, there are a few more worlds, but I pretty much already know what happened even without going to them. I know everything because the information just arises.

I have a meeting in 4 minutes. Nyarlisse, Nyzzoraleth, Elzynara and maybe Sayuri will show up. I end up going back to my dwelling to briefly change dresses.

"I will be the hostess..." I know well what I will do, both during the meeting and what I will do after the meeting.

"I hope...it’s not that bad" At least I have the assurance that no one can hurt me. They can only look and nothing more, because I am too important. As more information arises, I discover how ridiculously important my existence is.

This importance keeps me safe from anyone. It’s even good to know that no one else can hurt me.

’The Yar...and Yara...’ I think about the two. I didn’t go see them, and they are not living beings, but using the plants and animals I know they are doing quite well.

Both are living together. Yar is inside Yara, so Yara is forced to live with Yar while the two try to create an interdimensional travel ship. It seems the two have joined together to try to find me.

Too bad it’s impossible. The two will never be able to find me. My dwelling literally exists outside the plane of existence of mortals. In short, this house that was Yui’s exists and doesn’t exist at the same time.

It’s complicated for the Yar and Yara to even try to figure out where this place is specifically, because it’s not even in a fixed point in space.

To get here, you have to be invited by me, or be an extremely powerful being like Nyarlisse, for example. Apart from these options, the two can never find me.

’They’ll be searching forever...’ It’s sad, but I can’t do anything to help. I just grab a new dress from the closet, which is now full of clothes that fit me, to go to the meeting.

’I’m acting like Yui now...I don’t know if that’s good...’
