Cassian then replied, "wouldn't be so good to underestimate the capabilities of the mages of the assembly especially as it seemed like they were mostly taken by surprise"

"Heh" Katherine smiled, "it's funny watching you lot bothered about an Initiate who in no time, will surpass even us"

They all looked at Katherine, and some had this grimm look on their face.

Then the Grand Magus spoke, "I asked you captains to stay because I wanted to inform you that Lord Oberon and I would be heading for Dragonhold tomorrow. King Jarius invited the Lords for a feast"

Captain Randolf of the Storm Sentinels then spoke, "feast? Is there a specific occasion?"

Thamoryn shook her head, "none specifically was stated in the letter". She explained the details of it to them.

After hearing it all, Cassian said "That's not like King Jarius"

"It isn't but nonetheless, we'll be leaving tomorrow." The Grand Magus said

Back at the Ravens Grave guild, there was a knock on the door leading into Aiden's room.

He goes to open it and it was Arianna who asked, "mind if i come in?"

Aiden nodded and stepped away from the door so that she could step in. When she did, she closed the door behind her.

He went back to the corner of bed and Arianna began, "so piers told us what happened…"

"Yeah…" Aiden said, without saying anything else further.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Arianna asked

"No, it's nothing that's a bother anyway" Aiden replied, feigning a smile. Then he stood up and said, "i'll have to leave for a bit"

He wanted to go and complete his daily quest for today. Today was also the day the daily quest missions returned.

She nodded and stood up, then followed behind Aiden as he walked towards the exit.

When they had both left the room, Laela who was walking towards that direction saw them both. She planned to go see Aiden just like Arianna did, to know how he was doing.

For a brief second, it was Awkward; but for the both girls anyway. Arianna turned her eyes away and Laela had this burning sensation in her heart. She felt a different type of jealousy she hadn't ever felt before.

However, Aiden was oblivious to this. He approached Laela and said "i'm going to be at the library for a while"

Laela nodded, and then he kissed her forehead lightly before taking a his leave. She had her sights on Arianna who couldn't help but walk past her as well.

Arianna felt Laela's killer gaze on her as she walked behind Aiden but chose to act normal.

Eventually Aiden arrived the Library and began his study on the history of the 9 kingdoms. Each kingdom had a book dedicated to their histories within the library of the Academy.

That was his daily quest; To Study the Histories of the Nine kingdoms

Later on that day within the Ravens Grave Main Guild room.

Arianna approached Laela where she sat and said, "So about earlier, i just wanted to be sure you knew that it wasn't what it may have seemed like."

Everyone knew Laela and Aiden were an item now and Arianna wanted to make sure it wasn't going to feel awkward between she and laela.

"Oh it's fine" laela feigned a smile even though it still made her feel uncomfortable deep down. "We are a team, are we not?"

Arianna nodded in agreement, although deep down, she couldn't keep lying to herself about the growing feelings for Aiden.

….

After a while Aiden was done in the library and the system sent him a reward notification screen:

[Daily Mission: Study on the History Of The Nine Kingdoms→ Complete]

[+5 Available Stats Points]

[You have gained +50000xp]

[Bonus Reward +35000xp granted]

The experience points brought some smile to his face right after he got the message from the system.

Not long after, Aiden left the library and made his way back to his guild wing. However along the corridor, he saw Talen making coming towards his direction.

Aiden was going to walk past but then Talen spoke which made Aiden stop for a bit.

"Admittedly you took us by surprise today, and till now I don't understand what sort of magic you possess exactly. But know this, there won't be a time when such repeats itself. I will cut you down before you even form a thought"

"Heh" Aiden smiled, said nothing and then walked past Talen.

Talen turned to watch as Aiden continued on his way towards the Corridor.

Much later that night within the Balcony of Ravens Grave Guild.

Aiden was standing there and staring out through the open when Laela stepped back in.

"I had a feeling you'd be here" she said, which made Aiden smile slightly.

"Are you alright my love? You've been out of it today?" Laela asked, rather concerned for Aiden.

"Oh yeah, I am." aiden said then smiled back at Laela. Thing was being publicly spoken to in that manner by the Grand Magus left a bad taste in his mouth.

Laela looked at him for a moment and nodded, then said, "can i ask you something else?"

"Yes, go on" Aiden replied whilst nodding

"Uhm… it's just… when I—" Laela was finding it hard to say it out and Aiden smiled and said, "slow down, breathe then continue"

She took one breathe in, then in one go said it all out at once without a pause, "its just today when i saw you with arianna i felt jealous and it made me unhappy and i thought that maybe you dont like me anymore and I don't think its fair you know—"

"Heyyyy slow dowwwn" Aiden said whilst placing both his hands gently on her shoulders.

She had her face red and turned away due to being shy somewhat but then she stopped talking.

Aiden then held her hands next and said, "Its alright my pretty elf, nothing happened or is happening between Arianna and I. I only have eyes for you, Can you atleast believe that?"

Laela looked up at him with eyes nearly teary and simply just nodded before leaning forward slightly and clutching him with a hug.

He hugged her back dearly and stroke her green hair.

And with that, the rest of the night passed normally

Later on the next day, at the entrance of the palace building, were white horses attached to a carriage where Lord Oberon sat in.

The Grand Magus sat on another white horse that stood close to Lord Oberon's carriage.

There were a few robed palace mages who were on horseback and were behind the Lord's carriage

And Behind those mages, were a few soldiers on their black horses.

They were the full envoy of the Lord Oberon and soon after they all set out
