CHAPTER 54: CHAPTER 54 "JAIL BREAK (1)"

With unlimited resources in hand, Xuan decided to make something with the F9 P90 that Oldman Shan could carry without detection, also in a time of need, he can use it.

[Skill: Modification]

F9 P90, the personal defense weapon. This submachine gun has been modified to be an arm bracelet. The wielder can turn the bracelet into the gun at any time, or reverse it back into an arm bracelet at any moment.

Ahana and Grandpa Shan just looked at Ray as he used his skills and turned the gun into a wrist bracelet.

Though it wasn’t a small circular bracelet, it was longer and stretched seven inches on the old man’s hand.

"Brother Ray! How is this possible?" Ahana asked with her eyes wide in shock, while the old man was too stunned to even speak.

"I... I have never seen such a thing in my life!" the old man spoke, but his gaze was still on the bracelet on his wrist.

"Grandpa, no one would have imagined such a thing, not even I would have if I hadn’t experienced this many times," Ray explained. "Now I have to return."

"Are you going to jailbreak?" the old man asked, finally taking his eyes off his new weapon.

Ray nodded with a grim expression, "To be honest, I have this unease in my heart, especially since I have never imagined doing all of this or risking my life for others, but..."

As Ray paused, the old man patted his shoulder. "You aren’t alone in this, son. We are all with you."

Ahana rubbed Ray’s hand, "Brother Ray, remember what I told you the day we first met."

"We are your family," Ray repeated with her.

Ray smiled back, feeling a new confidence in his heart. He was like any other man who was weak in showing his emotions but it seems he couldn’t contain them any longer and uttered those words in front of Grandpa Shan.

Their words made him realize that he wasn’t alone in this fight.

At first, he had a thought of why he should risk his life, but later he realized that there would be no life if his world also turned like the world inside the Apex Survival.

"Is there anything we can do to help you? I don’t think you going alone against them would be easy," old man Shan asked, realizing Ray was going to jailbreak.

Ray nodded, "Indeed, I need your help, but not there. I’ll try to save as many people as I can, and once I do that, those people will end up here. So I want you to calm them down and explain the situation."

Ahana and Oldman Shan understood their assignment as Ray finally left, just like he appeared earlier.

...

Ray left them to finally challenge the unknown power and the government who had decided to abandon their own people.

As for the reason, he might know soon.

Once back, Ray accelerated his Hummer to the town where the people of the village were imprisoned, including Rohan and his father.

It was still dark outside, past midnight, when people most likely lower their guards and become carefree.

Using the night and time to his advantage, Ray came closer to the prison. Unlike the civilians who were sleeping at this hour, there were still guards on night duty, but they weren’t as active as they were during the day.

Suddenly, they saw a car coming at night towards the prison’s gate. At first, they only saw a yellow flash, and then a powerful sonic boom followed by a ball of fire that flew over them and hit the prison building.

"Boom!"

The explosion tore through the reinforced concrete wall of the facility, creating a massive breach.

The shockwave rattled the guardhouse, sending one of the guards stumbling back in surprise. Alarms blared to life, and lights flashed across the compound.

The guards, now fully alert, raised their weapons and looked in the direction of the blast.

As the dust and smoke began to clear, a sleek Hummer drove through the newly made opening. It was moving fast, its engine roaring like a beast.

The guards immediately opened fire, but their bullets ricocheted harmlessly off the Hummer’s armored chassis.

Ray, at the wheel, felt a grim satisfaction.

He had anticipated this resistance and had come prepared. He knew this was just the beginning. The real challenge would be getting everyone out.

The Hummer burst through the heavy metal gates with a single hit, sending a couple of guards flying as it drove into the compound.

As Ray did this, more and more guards came and opened fire on the yellow Hummer.

It made a huge commotion, but Ray didn’t stop there. He used the LMG on top of the car, which materialized with a mechanical sound and began to fire, not on the guards, but toward the wall, which began crumbling.

The commotion was heavy as guards yelled over. "Don’t just stand there, shoot!" one shouted aggressively.

"Fall back! Get behind cover!" another called defensively.

"CRUMBLED!"

The front wall fell to the ground, and the inner compound of the prison was now open in front of Ray.

He then accelerated his car, driving between the rubble, with its heavy tires and engine growling, Ray entered the inner compound.

The inmates were scared as well. A few days ago, they were told that they were soon going to be freed.

Now the prison was attacked.

Hearing heavy gunshots and seeing the fall of the prison wall. they couldn’t comprehend if they were going to make it out alive today.

The officer who met Ray earlier also stood in cover, speaking to someone on the phone, "The prison is attacked, we need backup ASAP."

"Do we have their number? Can you confirm the identity of the attackers?" a cold voice came from the other side.

The officer hurriedly spoke as he saw the Hummer stopping in the inner compound of the prison. "Numbers aren’t confirmed yet, but right now it’s some sort of car with a cannon and guns loaded on top."

"Are you fucking with me right now? Do you think such a thing exists? Is it a tank or something?" The voice on the phone said in disbelief.

"Sir, you can check the images. I swear it’s a car but something closer to a tank, like a modified arsenal truck."
