My Life As The First S-Class Guide
Chapter 220: BLOODY HELL
CHAPTER 220: BLOODY HELL
"I’M GOING out for a moment, Wonhee-ya."
Wonhee pulled the sleeve of Yejun’s shirt to stop him from teleporting right away.
Now that Yool, Ahyeon, and Graham had arrived at the Winter Guild HQ, Yejun was set to leave and go to Soobin’s office.
He already explained to her why he was needed there.
"Yejun-ah, make sure that Lee Seojin is okay," Wonhee said worriedly. "If he hates the power that he received from the System because of me, then tell me right away."
"Wonhee-ya, what did I say about blaming yourself for something you have no control over?"
Oh.
"Don’t worry too much, Wonhee-ya," Yejun said, putting his hands on her shoulders. "I’ll take a look at Lee Seojin’s Status Window to see what the problem is. Then I’ll tell you right away. We’ll figure it out together, so don’t go overthinking all by yourself, okay?"
[’We’ll figure it out together.’]
Hearing that from Yejun put Wonhee at ease.
[He’s so good at preventing me from overthinking.]
In short, Yejun was good for her mental health.
"Thank you, Yejun-ah," Wonhee said, letting out a relieved sigh. "As soon as you’re done checking on Lee Seojin’s condition, come back to me."
Yejun grinned and pulled Wonhee for a tight hug. "I’m gonna need to recharge first."
Aigoo.
[What a sneaky brat.]
***
"ARE YOU and Hwang Frost already dating?"
"Not yet," Wonhee denied while shaking her head. "The hug you saw was just Yejun ’recharging.’ He’s been working hard these days, so he needs subtle Guiding from time to time. Plus, Yejun is just a touchy person."
"That doesn’t look like a hug for a mere Guiding," Yool said, raising an eyebrow at her. And then he glanced at Ahyeon. "What do you think, Ahyeonnie?"
"Uhm, Yejun Hyung-nim is only touchy with Wony Noona," Ahyeon said shyly. He probably felt awkward talking about other people’s relationship. "A-And Yejun Hyung-nim looks stable these days. He just probably wants an excuse to touch Noona."
Ahem.
[That’s something I already know...]
"Why are you calling Hwang Frost ’Hyung-nim?’" Yool teased Ahyeon. "Did he threaten you to call him that way?"
"N-No. It’s just that the other option was worse."
"What was the other option?"
"Hyung-nim wanted me to call him ’Abeoji’ at first..."
"Huh?"
"Hyung-nim thinks I am his son with Wony Noona..."
Yool suddenly burst out laughing. "The hell? I didn’t know Hwang Frost could be funny." He then patted Ahyeon’s shoulder. "Congratulations on being adopted by Korea’s #1 Hunter and the first S-Class Guide in the world, Ahyeonnie."
Ahyeon blushed, obviously embarrassed. "Hyung, don’t tease me. It’s hard dealing with Yejun Hyung-nim..."
Wonhee smiled while watching Yool tease Ahyeon.
It had been a while since the three of them got to hang out like that.
Plus, the view from the Winter Guild HQ’s coffee shop was pretty since they could see the Han River from there.
[Yes, they have a coffee shop in their building.]
"I got our coffee!"
It was Graham.
[I almost forgot that Graham-ssi is with us today.]
Graham returned to their table with the drinks that they ordered earlier: iced coffee for Wonhee and Yool, matcha latte for Ahyeon, and hot chocolate for Graham.
[Graham-ssi has the tastebud of a kid.]
"You seem to be having fun without me," Graham whined half-heartedly when he sat next to Yool. "May I join?"
"No," Yool said bluntly, and then he quickly changed the topic. "Wony-ah, Ahyeonnie, I told Graham-ssi everything about the real me."
It was safe to talk about confidential stuff because only the four of them were at the coffee shop at the moment.
The staff members were Civilians, and they were out of earshot.
[And Ahyeonnie is using his barrier to protect our conversation.]
"Graham-ssi already knows that I’m a Transmigrator," Yool continued with a blank look on his face. "Anyways, Graham-ssi tried to stop me from going back to my original world."
Wonhee and Ahyeon didn’t say anything, but she figured the two of them had the same question.
[Why would Graham-ssi stop Yool from leaving?]
"Yep, I won’t let Yool leave," Graham said cheerfully. "Without me, that is."
Wonhee was surprised by what she had heard. "What do you mean by that, Graham-ssi?"
"I want to come with Yool wherever the System plans to send him to," Graham said, still talking cheerfully as if he wasn’t saying something ridiculous. "So, Chu Wonhee, can you ask the System if I could go with Yool to his original world?"
She was just about to say that she wasn’t sure if the System would listen to her.
But her Status Window suddenly popped up in front of her.
[Cabbage Kid: Wonhee-ya, are you free to talk?]
Oh, right.
[Bitna’s last mission is connected to Yool.]
"I’m with my friends, Bitna-ya," Wonhee said. She was staring blankly into the air while talking to herself, but no one bat an eye. After all, it was obvious that she was talking to her Status Window. "Graham-ssi of the Big 4 is also with me. Will that be alright?"
Her Status Window popped up again.
[Legendary Friend calling...
Answer or Reject]
Of course, Wonhee pressed the Answer button.
Bitna’s voice instantly echoed within the barrier that Ahyeon put around them.
["Wonhee-ya, Gong Yool must enter the dungeon the same time I leave mine, so let’s talk about our schedule."]
Oh.

"WHERE’S the kid, Hyung?" Yejun asked Hwang Minho when he materialized in the smoking area of the hotel’s penthouse— which was the balcony of the main drawing room. The System brought him there because he said he needed to be where his cousin was. "And what exactly happened?"
"Slow down," Hwang Minho said, puffing a smoke. "The kid is inside. I gave him a glass of milk to calm him down since he looks frustrated. It seems like he didn’t like a particular skill that he got from the System."
"What skill?"
"I didn’t ask."
"You didn’t? But why?"
"Hey, the kid is a rookie Hunter. So, I just gave him some advice," Hwang Minho said defensively. "I told him not to share his skills even to the people he trusts."
Yejun scoffed. "Hyung, you’re so inflexible."
"I’m sorry for having some conscience."
He just sighed and waved his hand. "I’m gonna talk to the kid, Hyung."
"Gotcha."
"What about the fake carnivore?"
"Minki is keeping an eye on him," Hwang Minho said. "Want me to check on them?"
"Yes, please."
"Alright," Hwang Minho said. "I’ll go."
And then his older disappeared.
Hwang Minho didn’t have the long-range teleportation skills like the Big 4. He could only teleport to places within a certain range. It was still a useful skill, though.
Anyways...
Yejun entered the drawing room when Hwang Minho left.
Lee Seojin, who was in the middle of drinking a glass of milk, stood up as soon as he saw Yejun. "Sir, you’re here."
"You can just address me casually, kid."
"I don’t want to."
"Excuse me?"
"I don’t want to call you ’hyung,’ if that’s what you’re saying," Lee Seojin said firmly. "I’m not good at things like that."
Yejun sat on the accent chair, facing the kid. "You probably don’t have friends because of your difficult personality."
"Of course, you would know, sir. You also seem to be a prick, in my opinion."
Yejun smirked and gestured for the kid to sit down. "Sit."
Lee Seojin got back on his seat obediently while putting the half-empty glass of milk on the table between them. "I’m sorry for asking you to come here when I know you’re busy, sir. But I heard something from my friend before."
"What is it?"
"He said there was a rumor about you before that suggests you can read other Hunters’ Status Window."
It was true that there was a rumor about that before.
"But how did your friend know about that?"
"He’s a super fan of Hunters, and he also closely follows all the World Rankers in the Top 100."
Aha.
[That sounds suspicious, but it’s not a part of my job to investigate sus Civilians.]
"Do you want me to read your Status Window?"
Lee Seojin nodded nervously. "Please, sir."
To be honest, Yejun didn’t need the kid’s permission to read his Status Window.
But he wanted to respect him, so only then did he read the kid’s stats.
[A family member with the same bloodline as you is near. Would you like to activate your Blood Ties Skill? It’s a skill used to control people in the same bloodline as you without their knowing. The thicker the blood between Hunter Lee Seojin and the other party is, the more control you have over them.]
Another Status Window popped up after that.
[Connection to the other party confirmed.
Target: Hunter Lee Seodam
Relationship: Brother
The blood tie between Hunter Lee Seojin and Lee Seodam is thick, hence you’ll be able to control your older brother easily and more ’quietly.’
Would you like to activate your Blood Ties Skill now?]
What?
Song Sunho had that kind of skill before?
Yejun was shocked, but it actually made sense.
Song Sunho was such a scum, but Song Moonho did everything in his power to protect a younger brother like that. Song Moonho even committed crimes just to make sure that APA wouldn’t arrest Song Sunho.
Song Moonho probably didn’t protect his scum of a brother out of love since Song Moonho didn’t have a heart in the first place.
[Is this how Song Sunho managed to control Song Moonho?]
